I’ve started playing FL4K and I use the Jabber. I’ve named him Monkey dog and we now have a brotherly bond that no one else could ever give me playing this game.
They didn’t really use the stalker tree that long cuz you can do so much Crit dps than you just melt enemies in seconds and if you go down the hunter tree as well you can even add more crit damage to it.
Arntor 1184 I played stalker and it’s a skill tree focused on boosting damage well staying alive . It’s not useful in its own but with hunter it’s pretty good. This is meant for early game and stalker is rubbish early game well hunter can carry you through the early game.
Yeah I agree stalker tree is nuts burst when you can crit on every shot with an augment but loose 50% crit from 200%, plus being able to have crazy ass fire rate whilst doing it
I did stalker with the radiation teleport ability. I pre-builded Fl4k before the game came out. I'm building similar to my Doppleganger build which is vastly op. High fire rate, crit and damage with a high fire rate SMG or AR. I've even found Jacob's handguns op as well. Got a mailed Dahl semi auto sniper. Thing melts enemy's.
My favourite Fl4k build is one where you go "Stalker" first, take "self-repairing system", "all my bffs", "Lick the wound" and "turn tail and run". Then switch to the "Master" tree and go up the left side of that tree getting all the hp recovery, pet damage, and damage sharing. For gear get anything with an HP/HP recovery boost. Basically this build will have Fl4k and his pet taking 0 damage while always healing way more then his enemies can deal, his pet will also never be able to die as well as any player to play with, as his hp regen is shared to allies. After finishing the master tree just make your way up the stalker tree again, if you did your skills right you should be able to get 2 skill points in "rage and recover". With this build no enemy can kill you, you and your allies can basically knife bosses to death and will never die, take the skag or jabber companion to deal more damage, or just the base spiderant if you wanted even more healing. If you can get a sheild that boosts hp by a shit ton that would be best, but anything that reflects/absorbs bullets and has some sort of spike affect or intense boost when broken is also really good
The green tree is fantastic if used right. Admiral Baroo has a great build using the green and orange trees. Fade Away lets all shots be critical hits while cloaked. If set up right, then rapid fire guns become much more useful for Fl4k.
I play him go invisible switch over to my rocket launcher and auto critical damage for 3 shots crushes and have my pet taunt skill so if that does not finish um off my magazine is one of them full magazine sizes guns . Depends on what weapons you have how you play him so many ways hes awesome.
@@jeffreydavidson5161 I was using shot gun 8 seconds perk so you can shoot tons of times . Got this awesome rocket launcher wanted to use it alot because it's cool so changed my playstyle around the gun.
I'm playing Fl4k solo right now and he's an amazing brawler character. Stalker tree with health Regen and Master tree to increase damage for me and my pet (I use Mr. Chew or Meat Thief) and for synergy so we can heal and buff each other. I use Gamma Burst with Empathic Rage for extra damage. I try to mix elemental weapons with raw damage weapons so I have an answer for most enemies. Fl4k really is badass.
Yea, was giving Gamespot a chance on this one... but proved to me again that independent dedicated Tubers are still the way to go. Almost every other video about Fl4k is talking about how powerful the Stalker tree is and the other ones just augment it.
I went stalker as my very first character, only level 11 rn and shocked to see its the least popular. The augment that lets you keep shooting in invis comes early and is insane
Bri Especially with something rapid fire. There’s something in the middle of the orange tree that puts the cloak duration back up too. Can’t wait until I’m high enough level to have both.😁
Master tree with irradiated skag pet. His damage heals me. My damage heals him and the radiation cloud melts the enemies. Only level 21 but it's working well so far.
@@1FAM_Gaming think you mean Hunter, the only thing in stalker giving you damage is fadeaway, but fadeaway with hunter primary is where its at...i was using rakk attack at first until i realized how broken it would be if I got automatic crits.
@@1FAM_Gaming yeah I did at first had to respect when I realized it's not doing much for me in terms of my damage...I mean the pet itself the spider ant scorcher gives 10% elemental damage but that's orange tree anyways so I just went with that...blue tree takes too many points to get anything to help you yourself out and it's not by much Hunter tree though I'm getting all kinds of stacks, got a class mod making my most dangerous game passive boost my gun damage to 50% and crit damage by 20...for 2 minutes and resets every time u kill a badass or stronger.
Its really funny that their final thoughts on FL4K were my initial thoughts... shows how surface level their research is and how little time they actually invest into making these videos.
Let me give you some advice on the pets from what I played The SKAG: Is most useful for your pet dealing damage but the downside fo that is he’ll be a target so he’ll die more often than the others. The SPIDERANT: Is good for dealing descent damage and staying alive so in all he good for distracting enemies and saying alive as much as possible. And my favorite so far The MONKEY: It’s best at staying alive and helping you survive it’s just like having another person by your side. I found that mixing is the best opinion but that’s my opinion.
Also Torge shotguns, go cloaked to hit all crits plus the skill that makes crits have a chance to refund ammo. Its totally broken just mealts everything. Try it out😁
@@jedichris85 Make sure to switch the firing mode to sticky on torque weapons too. They deal more damage and the bursts omg the burst. My friend literally was in disbelief at how quickly I melted bosses
Stalker lowkey is OP. I couldn't get past the Round Ball Kawasaki. So I restarted all of my skill points and dedicated it to Stalker, and beat him on my first try.
Stalker tree is for the people who have a run to survive and stand still to deal a fuck ton of damage,Master is a pet tree (obviously) and hunter tree is just crit like a beast. For hunter you use heavy hitting guns like shotguns, revolvers and snipers and for stalkers you use “faster guns” such as smgs, and assault rifles.
I use to do Stalker before I accidentally erased my profile and had to start over Now I do hunter master. Master is really good for keeping your pet from being cannon fodder which I was relieved about. At the same time I really liked the Jabber the companion and I just found Hunter to have a better action skill. Rakk attack is just great for dealing with crowds of enemies vulnerable to fire or ice.
How I play my Fl4k Step 1: get torque kielbasa (important for it to only consume 1 ammo) Step 1.5: put it to stick and aim for crits Step 2: leave no trace skill Step 3: interplanetary stalker/furious atk Step 4: two fang + Rakks Step 5: stack all the kill skills you can to become the most damaging character in the game
I think the stalker tree ist je most usefull. The action skill is the best: +200% dmg for the next 3 shots, kills nearly every badass with 3 headshots +25% dmg while not moving +25% dmg while hp over 50% +30% dmg when you're not hte target of the enemy +25% (/+50%) dmg when action skill is used +75% (times 3 i think) crit dmg by shooting at the same enemy plus some smaller extras. And all that without killing 20 enemys first
Filled the stalker use the jabawakee beefcake for max health and movement speed run around like zer0 till uvhm then either re spec or mix in master tree 😅 so many ways to play Fl4K
MattDSTNY lol I do have money sitting around for this game like actually it’s in a wad with a piece of paper on it that says borderlands 3 but I’m gonna wait for it to go on sale
I'd say stalker is more for people who prefer survivability and damage, not sure why it's supposedly for new players, not to mention your pet for that tree can carry guns and revive you, if you're playing solo, it's the go-to, I've been playing it and i never feel like I'm in over my head because i can use the invisibility to either deal massive amounts of damage or slip away from the fight and get to cover while the passive health regen patches me up
Fl4k stalker + Jacobs Pistol + return ammo in red tree, plus I got a Jacobs crit damage relic. My God, melts any boss in seconds, op as shit. Use the jabber cause it throws barrels, plus it'll revive you solo?
My Fl4k build I am working on the Stalker tree. With 3 points in the Persistence Hunter, in the Master tree. Then gonna use some of the skills from the Hunter tree. Jakob weapons are insane with the Fade Away action skill.
Personally, think Stalker tree is really good if your solo. I would even say damage wise, Hunter/Stalker is the best trees to combine. Odd video, I think it's widely considered that the master tree is the weakest, unless you just absolutely have to have a stronger pet.
I don't understand why there's not much talk about stalker. I find that it has been the best build since the beginning of playing I do extremely large damage with turn tail and run and the Fast and the Furious. Imo best build so far level 27 SOLO. I play on normal and I havnt had any troubles yet.
Kinda late to the party but all you guys calling the player out for not calling the stalker tree the ultimate shit... You do realize that the average player won't play the game to reach level 100 and just do the story missions and most of the side missions , right ? There's no way of powering all the three skill trees and the guy simply favoured the other 2 above the stalker because his playing methods. Chill out with your "you should share my point of view otherwise I will call you out" bullshit. Jesus fricking Christ!
Why is everybody and their goddamn mom playing as Flak, ive got 26hrs on my first campaign so far with Amara and I cant matchmake without bumping into atleast one of em lol.
Basically almost all the people who got the game pre-released said he had the highest damage potential (tons of crit hit perks) plus the whole pet thing. Not to mention he has a super likeable personality
i use the hunter skill tree and i'm going down the stalker tree cause i get a butt-ton of regeneration plus fade away with hunter skill tree is op and a boss melter you dont have to take every branch in hunter like i didnt take any skill in the second branch of hunter cause fuck it i dont want to stay far waway
I started out as Fl4k. I’m just at lvl 8 but I’m not having a great time. I feel like I’m slow and weak. No good guns. I know the game opens up and gradually makes you feel like a badass but after 4 hours in I feel like I’m fighting tough ass missions with lvl 1 damage. It makes this not as fun as I remembered BL2 ten years ago.
Eh guys is there a way to have fl4k n not have the pet for certain situations like evolving varkids where he will always attack the pod? I send him towards other enemies but gets annoying
the only thing i dont like about Borderlands 3 is that at level 30 you got like 1,150 health and Borderlands 2 at level 30 you have like 8000 or 9000 health i think i,m one of the few people who liked that eh it,s not that important anyway, i know most people like balanced stuff but i actually enjoyed the Overpowered Broken stuff
Does anyone else think this game is 10 times harder than borderlands 1 and 2. And it doesnt help being flak only having 300 health at lvl 15. And every gun i have found takes forever to reload and only hold 5 rounds in the chambers. So difficult and im on easy mode
