@@kryyto6587 True, in all honesty men want the best of both worlds, good looks and a nice figure to your desire, but also have a personality that encourages and shapes you to be a better person, but its harder to *get* the 10/10 good looking with the good personality, so people subside with no so good looking, but their personality compliments them for it, which is better for a long term releationship. What's more, this goes for males and females, not exlusively to one sex, obviously not everyone one, but the majority.

There are some translation issues with this episode, first of all, Megumi did not say "she" to describe his type, he said "that person," so he didn't indicate a gender. Second of all, what Mai said to Nobara was that Nobara’s legs are too short so she wouldn’t have been able to wear Mai’s summer uniform/dress.

@@nevaladder Also, Megumi used a gender neutral pronoun in the manga-basically, instead of "she" he said "that person"- which probably means that he could be bisexual or pansexual. I don't know why they change it.
Just like to remind y'all that Megumi didn't say 'She' when asked about his taste in a lover. The translator said they felt comfortable making megumi straight. So megumi could be Bi or Pan

@@idk-vm9wx easily put, representation matters. Having a character in a shonen anime that could be canonically queer is exciting for many that are lgbt. You are right that being bi or pan is not that important to the story, but him being straight isn't either. The story is not a romantic one.

the reason todo called fushiguro shallow is because while on a surface level "tall girl with a big ass" is shallow it shows hes willing to be completely honest not just to the world but himself while fushiguro's answer is typically said by people who are trying to avoid a real answer due to embarassment
