Jethro De Wet this is the problem. It won't. I see all these big numbers being handsomely thrown around on the farms around us when they go for sale. As if the ground water is infinite and not shared by everyone. Sadly this sort of thing is not inspiring at all. But I'm happy for the owner, and sure he knows what he is doing, more than those green reed covered windpumps around us that are never disconnected when the reservoirs are full..
Looks like an aquifer was opened up. How long will it last because the natural replenishment in the Karoo is not that high? (... or was this borehole drilled near a dam, like the Gariepdam, or a river).
