BORI Mahabharat book 1 review 

Can we just appreciate this young boy for completing whole part 1 of mahabharat despite he found it boring. 👏 There are very few people who have patience to finish a book. More power to you brother.🙂

These books are not for everyone, it's only for the passionate readers.. if you find mahabharat borning, you shouldn't mess with it...

Actually, Reading Mahabharata isn't cup of tea for everyone. Those who are already seen/ read basic Mahabharata story can find interest in this book. Otherwise, This book is boring for newcomers. After all, Mahabharata is the greatest epic in the world.

Boring?? Hindi culture?? This is VEDIC CULTURE !! This scripture it's being studied in detail for millennium. Because you are so westernized you can't understand your own roots. I'm Mexican, still I can appreciate the historical, moral,ethical, scientific, spiritual, political value that the book offers...

Of course, Dharma and Varna is what is important than the education system. The English education system that you had is the reason why you saw casteism in the book. Caste is not based on birth or color of skin but because of dharma and karma.

Bro it is itihasa no one care abt itihasa. Everybody care abt purana everything ativities hindus do n talk abt from birth to death is all in puran . And puran is 4times larger than mahabharat. Don't be ignorant there are no dearth of text/scritures and everyone follows what they like..

Casteism shabd ki jagha varn shabd prayog karte toh better hota! Because mahabharat me varn ki baat hai caste ki nhi….present day caste ko hum kuch alag perspective se dekhte hain and mahabharat time me jaati aur varn shabd dono ka alag meaning hota tha and jaati doesnt mean caste to be very hinest….aaj toh casteism ke naam pe politics kheli jati hai

You said you need good amount of understanding of Hindu culture to understand this book and you yourself does not understand the diffrence between caste and Varn, Jati. I would recommend you to read about this in detail and about the Lord Reiss survey of castes in India and Read the book "India that is Bharat" by Jai Sai Deepak. You have to remove the colonial lens to see the bhartiya civilisation

god y is everybody sweating over whether it is history or fiction...its an epic just read and understand it and learn what u can...that is the ultimate point. Stop trying to discredit the original writers and creators of this great epic by just calling it history blatantly. Be rational man... use the brains gods gave u. whatever criticisms he gave abt the book are true. it is repetitive n kinda boring. all ppl who are comenting have just heard n seen the abridged fantacised versions of mahabharat...try reading all of these 10 volumes n u will understand what he's trying to say.
