Thank you so much for the showcase! As you mentioned, it is indeed super quiet in the cockpit - the engines being so far away from it. It's a realistic rendition rather than a louder "simmy" version which i tried to go for! Just a design choice on my end after talking a lot with crj pilots.
@@GoSolarPlz yeah so I messed this up 😅 I misunderstood when someone said "next Sunday" is the release, it's actually the Sunday after that. So it's releasing the 24th, I'm sorry about that
I found myself turning down the engine noise due to watching flight deck videos and on those videos you can hear the pilot explain aspects of the flight deck and the flight and all you hear is the correct flight deck sound which is realistic the hiss the wind noise and the hum from the engine and not dusting out your ear drums with loud engine sounds. I think they have got this right for me anyway Also thanks for the video very well presented I will be picking this up with more to come hopefully.
I’m really excited for this package. The crj is a lot of fun but the sounds were always lacking. This will dramatically increase the immersion and revive the excitement i used to have for this aircraft. Day 1 buy for me!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! The sound pack is quite impressive isn't it, and like you say I hope we get some updates to the CRJ in the near future
The default one by Aerosoft was pretty bad. They used the default wind noise, wchich kind of sounds like a storm in a cabin with wind gusts and all, and the engine noise seemed to be done by the game guy who did the Twin otter. The pitch envelope was all wrong., consisting of several recordings through which it audibly crossfades as you push the thrust up or down. There's another soundpack by FTSim which may be a bit closer to what simmers want. You can hear the engines from the cockpit in that one, whether that's realistic or not. It's bit more of an experiencee than this kindof polite set by Boris.
Yeah, different design choices. Mine is made to be as real as possible, and with that, the volumes will be the way they are in this video - the engines are very far away from the cockpit on the crj, so if you look at any takeoff video from the cockpit, you'll notice the disappointingly quiet engines 😁
Boris has gone for closest realism here but like you say, and I mentioned in the video though in other words - ultimately, sounds are very subjective. Some want noisier flight decks even though it's unrealistic in some aspects but others don't and that's where the options of various packs is good 🙂 gives us the choice
Nope, it's designed to be set as realistic as possible for the flight deck hence why it's seemingly so quiet in the flight deck - it's like that in real life too (if you go into the CRJ700 there will be a slightly louder noise compared to the 900/1000 for example as the engines aren't as far away)
@@BritishAvgeekfor me it wasn’t a simple one click (marketplace) had to copy and paste sound files.. for each crj separately .. great product nonetheless!! glad I got rid of the sounds of aerosoft now 😅 makes me want to fly this jet again!
Sim sounds were way too quiet against your naration - for a sound review. I don't mean this pack - all sounds, including MSFS's environmental and UI. Sim volume overall needed a hike.
Aerosoft seem to have released it, then abandoned it with lots of bugs left to be fixed from WASM crashes, flight management issues with autopilot modes being a bit wobbly and sloppy ground handling. Used to really enjoy it but now it's a frustrating experience
"Almaria"? Trying to figure out whether this is Almeria in Spain, or Amarillo in the US. 😄 If Almeria in Spain, it's not pronounced "Al-maria", it's "Al-MEE-rea".
