This is not a cover from The Beatles Original, Is a cover from the Spooky Tooth version and the most important thing is the use of noises like Spooky tooth made in their album "Ceremony" with Piere Henri, they fuse both very well. It's good to hear groups like this one to continue the same energy from those superb musicians from the past.
Lennon said the Spooky Tooth version of the song was the best version of it and this version above is taken after the Spooky Tooth version of the Beatles song.
This absolutely amazing cover is based (it would seem) on Spooky Tooth's almost equally amazing version. I want to grow another arm so I can give three thumbs up.
I think I must agree. There's a wicked jazz cover of Eleanor Rigby on Stanley Jordan's Blue Note debut album. I love the chaosss that these guys bring to it.
I'm not sure if it's the 'best' Beatles cover out there (there are so many) but I think it may be the one that John Lennon (and Yoko) would appreciate most, great twisted atmosphere that Merzbow brings to this, an amazing interpretation.
