Borkum, a beautiful East Frisian island in the North Sea is always worth a visit.
The visit to the #Nordseeinsel was a particularly nice time. We would love to come back.
As the only and largest East Frisian island, #Borkum has a unique ocean-going climate all year round. Because unlike the neighboring islands, Borkum is always completely surrounded by lake water. That is why the air is particularly poor in pollen and rich in iodine.
The nearby Gulf Stream ensures that it doesn't get too hot in summer and never very cold in winter.
The wide beach in the north and west of the island invites you to dream and relax. The wind blurs the tracks in the fine sand and paints its own pictures. Borkum is not called the most beautiful pile of sand in the world for nothing.
Barefoot running, jogging, sailing or surfing and sailing across the water with a kite and so much more, there is all of this on Borkum.
The North Sea island has recently been part of the # Emsradweg family.
While Emden is the official end point of the cycle path, Borkum is seen as a “plus point”.
So for us, a #bike tour on Borkum is a must. We are happy to show you in the video which top sights of Borkum we saw during our circumnavigation of the beautiful island and what we experienced.
We wish you a relaxing time on BORKUM, stay safe and sound.
Greetings Meggi and Wolfgang
