Thank God I was raised in a Pentecostal church, and have always heard it the way brother Pawson preached. It is pretty straightforward, but not for everyone I guess. Liberals emphasize repentance/works based Evangelicals emphasize Faith/believe Catholics emphasize baptism (sacrament) Pentecostal emphasize receiving the HolySpirit. Truth is, you need all 4 - Repent, believe in the Lord, be baptized and receive the HolySpirit

Saved by Grace through "remaining faithful" ....The Greek word for Faith and Remaining Faithful is one and teh same It's not about works least we should boast but faith without works is a dead faith
James 2 last verse. No where in the Bible does it say we are saved by faith "ALONE". It says we are saved by faith. You need to learn what that really means. 2 Timothy 3:16 - "ALL" scripture is God breathed. The entire Bible matters and fits together. You have to quit cherry picking verses.

I feel like if it is real and genuine. I believe Christ can alter our journey so that we could truly become saved. Bur it has to be real or genuine at the beginning or somewhere along the way
Take heard dear one. Jesus said that He didn’t know them because they were workers of iniquity. Jesus said in John 14:15 “if you love me, keep my commandments”. So if you love God and keep His commandments, He KNOWS you according to 1 Corinthians 8:3.
If you are keeping His commandments it doesn’t me you are loving Him. If you are loving Him you WILL keep His commandments. The first of which is to love Him. There’s a difference!
That scripture simply divides those who do The Will of the Father from those who are lawless and do not know Him. If someone has begun their journey through Faith that person who knows Him and follows Yeshua is not left out.
God knitted us together in our Mother's wombs, God gave us life according to His Will. We have a heartbeat when still inside our Mothers' womb hence we are alive. Without a heart beating when still in our Mother's womb, we are classed as not alive. This heartbeat can be seen during a scan.
Tissue flexing is not a heart beating, moving blood. There is a big difference. I’m not saying life is not present, but calling all to be aware of this over simplification as it makes us look uneducated.
I had an experience once with a car I was new to driving and forgot to put fresh oil in. What happenwd was that from the heat a cylinder got a hone and instead of working with fuel it started to pump water in and out until it came out the exhaustion pipe ! This is so mind blowing.. and it is so logical.. i feel really sorry for myself to never read that stuff after the 4 gospels (Math, Luke, John, Mark) before.. But there are people (priests, monks!!!..) who REALLY SHOULD HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND THEN TELL US THIS. Cause I DO my job probably and yes, they should have done it too! The moment we beleive in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit come and indwell in us which than we are born again. Water baptism is a command after we beleive to publically show we die and rise again with Jesus, but water baptism is not necessary to be saved, but necessary as in obedience to God just like Jesus commanded his disciple to take communion in remembrance of Him. So I desagree when he said that we reveive the Holy Spirit after we get water baptism. We receive the Holy Spirit as soon as we made a heart commitment to beleive in Jesus Christ! Beleiving in the Lord Jesus means we understand that we are sinners in need of a Saviour; so when we turn to Jesus, we repant and turn our back on our old life. You can find the gospel explain in The epistle as well: "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. I Corinthians 15:1-8 NKJV" The letter of Paul to the Romans is amazing and explain a lot too, read from chapter 3 : 21 to 5 : 11 .
Its not what David Pawson says - its what Peter says in Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And 1Cor:12:3 is when you can truly say ''Jesus is Lord'' Repentance comes before baptism and Baptism comes before receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit - Take the example of Jesus - after he was baptised the Holy Spirit came down upon him ....as a dove David once believed baptism was just a public symbol of Jesus washing way our sins but the more he studied the scriptures and also through personal experience especially of what happened to many Muslim men he baptised, who were killed because they confessed to the act of being baptised, David believed Baptism was far more than a public confession /symbol of ''what we do to publicly show obedience'' ...but more so, in going through the waters of Baptism and being obedient to God, - its what ''GOD does for us when we are Baptised '' - its death to the Devil and we are no longer of this world - our names are written in the Lambs book , Muslims are forbidden to go through the act of Christian Baptism - if its just a symbol of obedience for God......... why are they forbidden? ......there is a spiritual side to Baptism as well as a symbolic act of obedience
Why was it necessary for the disciples of Jesus to receive another Baptism of Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Jesus already “breathed” on them in John 21 and said “receive the Holy Spirit”
Hi Ed - lets unpack Acts 19 vs 1 - did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed ...........here we have Believing and Receiving Holy Spirit .......... and it started with Believe They answered No we have not even heard of the Holy Spirit So Paul asks what Baptism did you receive? expecting them to have received the Holy Spirit if they had been Baptised ....it was an expectation because when Jesus was baptised in water the received teh Holy Spirit The model demonstrated in Jesus Baptism was Baptism in water for repentance and the forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit came down upon him as a Dove - so for Jesus, Baptism in water and receiving the Holy Spirit was one and same event ........ it could not be for Paul because Jesus had not yet sent his Holy Spirit til Pentecost Let's not go into how could Jesus receive the Holy Spirit etc as that is a distraction - Jesus did not need to be baptised but was baptised to fulfil prophecy and as a witness to others. Back to Acts 19 - They answered Johns Baptism - Johns Baptism : - before the HolySpirit was sent by Jesus. ( and after he ascended to be with his Father Acts 1) - was a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins So we have when you believe in Jesus ....and are Baptism in water for forgiveness of sins (Acts 2) ... Receive the The Holy Spirit / The Holy Spirit comes down upon you / you get immersed baptised in Holy Spirit On hearing this they were baptised in the name of Jesus and after the laying on of Hands - the Holy Spirit came upon them and they spoke in tongues This is an example David is explaining there are 4 stages .......in Acts 19 that the believers/disciples experienced Paul was concerned that these disciples completed the key steps - repent and be baptised in water for forgiveness of sins - and receive /be baptised in the Holy Spirit Later in vs 9 Paul enters the synagogue and ...they refuse to "believe" ......... baptism and repentance is meaningless unless you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who "cleanses you and forgives you of all unrighteousness " Paul in Acts 19 talks about receiving the Holy Spirit - Jesus received the Holy Spirit by the dove "coming down" upon him Jesus explains in Acts 1 " in a few days ( after I have returned to my Father ) you will be baptised in the Holy Spirit " ....many thought this was a one off event for that specific Penticost?...........well Acts 19 implies Paul was concerned these disciples had not expressed their own 'pentecost' as part of their personal journey ......to being saved? You have not asked this but let me cover one more point - some verses say" receive" some say the Holy Spirit "came on them" Jesus says you will be baptised in Holy Spirit - many will argue their own case but the Greek word is Baptizo ? means "immersed " - drenched ....... there are many different teachings on what constitutes water baptism but just focusing on baptism of Holy Spirit/ Holy Spirit coming down on you / receiving the Holy Spirit/ Being drenched in Holy Spirit ..... are one and the same thing Its clear in Book of Acts not everyone went through these processes in same order repent/believe/baptism in water/baptism in Holy Spirit - some received the Holy Spirit before water Baptism ...... My own experience was Acts 19 - I had never heard of Baptism in the Holy Spirit when I was baptised in water in a strict Baptist Church - it was 5 years later the Holy Spirit came down on me and drenched me People ask - how do I know if Ive been baptised in the Holy Spirit / If The Holy Spirit has come down upon me etc ....... my answer is do you know if you get drenched in the rain ?......when it happens you know ! and others will also know .......with no doubts ..... getting drenched its a powerful experience with visible signs ...such as speaking in tongues, but not necessarily so! Paul asked them whether they received the Holy Spirit When I was baptised in water a dear old godly man kept asking me ....."Have you received the Power? "........not have you received the Holy Spirit ...."Have you received the Power ?" What on earth was he asking and Ive never head that preachy from the Pulpit.....when I asked him to clarify he quoted Jesus own words in Acts 1 "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you "....... the one thing missing form my life at that time .......I was a Christian - but there was no power in my walk with God - actually it felt no different than before I became a Christian - after rte Holy Spirit drenched me - there was a massive difference in my life ! I hope this helps clarify the 4 steps in Acts 19 Believe Repentance Baptism in Water Receiving the Holy Spirit If you look at Acts 8 you can also see the 4 steps mentioned

I agree with that and what is seen throughout the Book of Acts is that it appears the order was sometimes mixed up eg Receiving the Holy Spirit before being baptised in Water - the disciples were keen to ensure all 4 steps were completed
@@DavidPawsonMinistry, does Acts state anywhere what the order should be? David states that repentance should precede belief. However, if you don't believe in God, what's the point in repenting? There's no one to repent to.
God gave us a conscious even young child knows when they have done wrong. You dont need to believe in God to know when you are doing wrong, you have a choice to stop doing wrong or carry on doing wrong - ie to repent Atheist do not have an excuse to do wrong and carry on doing wrong because they do not believe - repentance is stop and turn away from its not "repenting to" God .....its "repenting from " wrong doing
We MUST be born again. You are born again when you are like Jesus. Then you are sinless 1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. We must be born again! Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!! To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart! A really born again Christian has no future sins!! He is perfect, righteous and the light of the world. Please study : 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 and Titus 2:14
Acts is a transitional book not a prescriptive book . looking to the book of Acts for how we are saved today is misguided. This is a book about the transition from Jew to Gentile . Most Heresies come from using the book of Acts as a prescriptive method for salvation . unfortunately Here we have an example of trying to amalgamate the transitional aspect of the Book of Acts into a ' package ' deal . So here we have a problem with this system dictating that you only recieve the Holy spirit after Baptism . which denies Paul's later explanation of how we recieved the Holy spirit. eph 1 13¶In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, We are born again , converted , regenerated the moment we recieve the Holy spirit which happens all together the moment we believe .
Beware! You are telling people and yourself to disobey Jesus' actual words. He commanded the disciples to make disciples by baptizing them (it was one step)!! He established that and said that His words will one day judge the living and the dead. If you love him, you keep his commands. Obedience is part of the works of obedience, not works of the law!!
@Mrbazinthenow I encourage you to watch the whole series with an open heart and a Bible in hand. It takes time to understand this, as it did for the disciples, but if it’s biblical and solid, and not contradicting scripture, then it is true. That is what I have found. God bless.
I did not receive the “Baptism” of Fire of Holy Spirit evident by speaking in tongues until years after I was baptized in water. It was not an automatic experience as a result of water Baptism. I didn’t even know there was a Holy Spirit fire Baptism. I received beauty for ashes, peace, and deliverance from demon spirits; all through the Baptism of Holy Spirit
Believing Jesus Christ alone for salvation is the only way, out of 100% how much did Jesus Christ pay to reconcile sinners back to the Father? 100% ,therefore you cannot even add 1% to the finished work of the cross, eternal life is a free gift through Gods grace, obviously good works follow believing out of love for God. Be aware of the teachings of mere men who teach a work based salvation.
You may not agree with David but if you are going to make a statement then please be correct - David does not teach salvation by works Eph 2 - We are saved by grace through faith .... but let's take the following verses For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Yes we are saved FOR ( to BY ) good works which God prepared for us in advance Thats the big difference
