I'm 41. I grew up watching Saturday Morning Superstars when I was 10. I grew up with the likes of Hogan, Macho, UW, MDM, Flair,...then had a great transition into Taker, Shawn Michaels, HHH, SCSA, Rock, then all things that pulled my attention from Raw to Nitro and nWo and Sting, DDP, Raven. Then the splash from ECW of Terry Funk, Sabu, Sandman, Shane Douglas, RVD. I'm telling you what, AEW has re-energized this old man of everything I loved about wrestling from the time I was 12 to 23. Shame to see WWE go the way that it is catering to the G-rated crowd, but at least it has it's past. I'm excited for AEW and the future, that makes me feel like I'm a kid again.
I’m 39, stopped watching in 2002. I was there from like age 6 until 20 I think. It just got terrible after the attitude era. You can’t have good controversies at PG.
I'm from 1982 man. I've seen the WWE fight it's way to the top. Aew is looking to take out WWE like WWE did to WCW. Just as I was about to give up on pro wrestling man. I'm spending $60 on ppv's without second guessing there going to give me my money's worth unlike WWE. I'm in Miami. Buying tickets for both nights of rampage and dynamite. What a time to be alive. My brother passed from a stage four brain tumor....and we had high hopes aew was going to bring wrestling back to a place we canal have fun without being treated like crap. Glad to be part of this ride man.
I’ve been a lifelong WWE fan for the past 13 years. Up until last year it started to become so dull for me to watch, I remember the days when WWE use to have so much creativity, the creativity nowadays compared to when I was a kid is so lackluster and too much of a hassle for me to watch. With AEW in the mix, to me it’s got that old school style of what wrestling mainly Nitro in 96 was despite me not growing up during that time period haha. It’s a shame to see WWE going downhill relying on all these part timers who’ll just hog the championship spotlight for a big event just for a fat paycheck. Because back then either WrestleMania or Summerslam was all about wanting to be their with passion and empathy which meant something, nowadays that’s completely faded out. They can’t even utilize their younger talent well like they use to, with all these budgets cuts WWE is doing with releases it’s basically giving AEW the fuel to take those talents to the next level in which they were destined for. With Punk, Bryan, and Cole along with such young and upcoming talent all in AEW I’ll tune in every Wednesday and Friday, I’d rather watch AEW over WWE anytime. I’m happy to see what AEW has in store for the future.
Same here, the flight of the valkeries playing throughout, the lyrics, the get your f*cking head kicked in at the start, had no idea until I heard it here!
@@SenorKristobbalVLog That's what he said he was going to do to the locker room (somewhat jokingly) after at the press conference so he must have got them worked into the vocals.
I remember when Bryan first used it (the original version) and I was like what? they're really trying to make him the nerd Michael Cole is trashing him to be. Lo and behold, he owned the theme.
AEW's success is OUR benefit. Wrestling fans of all types, including hardcore fans, classic fans, indie fans, and even WWE fans will benefit from AEW's success.
He really was, born for greatness…. And for someone who is only 40 years old and has been wrestling since he was 18, he’s already achieved legendary status multiple times over and he’s not done yet, hopefully he’s far from being done…. Bryan has said that he wants to wrestle until he’s 70 years old, let’s hope
Until he is 70? Boy he is really gonna take his chances, take the rock for example, the last he wrestled in a real match. Not that squash match with Rowan, his body exploded.
Tbh I hope not. I hope he stops when he is in his mid 40s like Shawn did. His style is high impact and the way he bumps takes a massive toll. I mean, he admitted in lying to WWE about his conditions, when he was getting seizures. That's why they forced him to retire in the first place, as he was endangering himself. At one point he gotta take a step back and call it a day. Better on his own terms than through a bad accident. He is one of my favorite wrestler, but I really hope that this is his final full time run, as I really don't wanna see him wrestle till he is 70
@@vta2265 I’m completely down the middle at that, I hope not as well because of injuries, but at the same time if he does everything he can to avoid serious injury then no problem
lol look up when he first started, he actually said in his book that Edge was literally laughing in the ring when he heard Bryan's theme song for the first time.
I live in Italy, when all this s**t about COVID and restrictions will be over I will fly to USA to see AEW live for sure… I have been twice to WrestleMania, once at WrestleKingdom, this is the promise land of pro wrestling and the new frontier of sport entertainment and excitement!
I know I was meant for this I don’t quit Nobody can handle it If no one gonna take that risk, I’m all in Yea, I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness You can try to take me down I’ll knock you out Turn around and it’s lights out Nothing’s gonna stop me now, I’ve got no doubt Yea I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness I was born for greatness
I am 36, and when Bryan Danielson came out, I started to cry in my living room and jumped up and down. My husband was sitting there with his mouth hanging open. I have been a Bryan Danielson fan since the days of ROH. I finally get to see the real Bryan again in AEW and nothing makes me more excited.
Literally the same age, literally has been my favorite wrestler since I first bought Round of Robin night 2 with him vs Low Ki from some store at a mall and was blown away
The true genius of this song came to me watching Dynamite last Wednesday, when I realized the rhythm hit the beat of the crowd chanting "YES! YES! YES!" on every downbeat, which lead to it being quite a thumping tune, all along. A version of this with that crowd overlay on refrains would actually be really sick, imo. I can tell you now, both videos are/will be getting many of my repeat views. Sick work, AEW composers.
Me first hearing this theme: “this sucks, this doesn’t fit Bryan at all, they should’ve just used Flight of the Valkyries” Me hearing it after a week: “huh this song isn’t so bad” Me listening to it now: “I WAS BORN FOR GREATNESS GREATNESS”
I still don't get how people can get away with playing Wagner in 2022... like he was literally a proto-Nazi and is mostly known for being Hitler's favorite composer.
god damn thats sick. honestly getting goosebumps at that "your gonna get your fuckin head kicked in" chant. i hated his wwe theme, but this is so damn good while still having flight of the Valkyries as the base beat. already feels like such a bigger deal than he did in his entire WWE run, no way WWE would have ever had an entire faction of dominant heels run in fear just because he showed up.
@@subscriberswithOnlyonevi-zm2ix i just dislike Flight of the Valkyries as an entrance song, at least without heavy modification. this is based in it but still distinct. WWE's was just a rock cover.
“You’re gonna get your f*cking head kicked in” is a really cool call back to his days as the American Dragon. Fans used to beat on the barricades and stomp & clap while chanting that to Bryan’s opponents. It’s the same fanbase that developed the “Joe’s gonna kill you” chant for Samoa Joe.
I admit I doubted AEW, I doubted them for the longest time, but this PPV, to me it was landmark, it was the first time I've been truly interested in wrestling since the invasion angle flop 20 years ago.
was the same. gave a few episodes of dynamite a shot, they got to spend $50 on revolution 2020. have ordered every ppv since (shoot, i've spent more on their ppv's in 2 years than i did in over 20 years of wwf/e, wcw, and ecw ones combined, haven't regretted it one bit. even went and bought all the 2019 ppv's once the price dropped to $15, save for all out 2019, since it's still free on their youtube page).
Can we just acknowledge that this man is the absolute best in-ring performer of the last 20 years? He absolute owns Wagners composition, every version of it. I maybe sound like a megamark right now... and even though CM Punk might be my absolute favorite, for hells sake this man is absolute genius and a artist. Every motion and every move has purpose, no failed attemps. For god sakes, he could bring every cloud to pop with nothing but wristholds or headlocks, because he has a reason doing them. Every move counts with him. I am more then in awe, for how good he really is. I am jealous for everyone who had the beautiful chance seeing him perform live. He is the absolute GOAT for at least 10 years.
Imagine asking Bryan what he is looking for in a theme song, and he’s like “Yeah…. Something about kicking fu-king heads in”. Uh cool, you got it Bryan. 😁👍🏻
I really love how they took chants from his early wrestling of a crowd going "YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR F-ING HEAD KICKED IN" and put it into the beginning of the song 🤣
This man needs a tru gold run. At least once. Hes a living legend. Achieving greatness and respect everywhere he goes. Want him to have platinum at least once. YES YES YES YES 👆👆
If you're wondering who sings this song, it's Elliott Taylor. I found the song on Spotify and I've had it on repeat since. What's unfortunate is it's only about a minute and a half long. It's titled Born for Greatness(Bryan Danielson AEW walkout).
Lyrics (You're gonna get your fu***** head kicked in) (You're gonna get your fu***** head kicked in) (You're gonna get your fu***** head kicked in) (You're gonna get your fu***** head kicked in) [Verse 1] I know I was built for this, I don't quit Nobody can handle it, no one gonna take that risk I'm all in [Chorus] Yeah, I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness Yeah, I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness [Verse 2] You can try to take me down, I'll knock you out Turn around and it's lights out Nothing's gonna stop me now, I've got no doubt [Chorus] Yeah, I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness Yeah, I was born for greatness, greatness, greatness Yeah, I was born for greatness
I absolutely love this song and if Elliot Taylor hasn't already had a mainstream release of this song then they absolutely should release it because it would go top 10.
So he gives a nod to his wwe time with the flight intro, then gives a nod to his roh days with the you’re gonna get your fucking head kicked In line, then the hip hop beat is the new, aew.
