Oprah Winfrey overcame so much hardship and a start on life that did not promise a bright future, but she turned things around as a teenager. She credits her father for instilling virtues in her, believing in her, and supporting her during her transition to adulthood. What a lasting impact a parent has as a positive role model in children's lives!
