i am from Kuala Lumpur and i just spent 2 months in Sabah and Sarawak. i cannot tell you how proud i was to be malaysian when i saw the beautiful cultures of the people who share these lands with me . i left there knowing that there are many things the people from semenanjung can learn from all of you. pleases never let your beautiful culture wither away with time.
This is not malsysians culture.. but Dayak 's original culture Dayak is one of many tribes in Indonesia. They are live in Borneo island ..Borneo or Kalimantan islsnd.
LOVELY!! all originals....the feathers are real indeed!!! love the beautiful beads all over the head gear till the whole costumes! the designs!!! jangan jeles!!! we are proud to be SARAWAKIANS!!!
i miss my gf at sarawak. She is a traditional dancer. Now we no longer contact with each other and she is happy with new lover. I miss her graceful dance
I believe this dance is from Kenyah tribe as I learnt from my childhood days. Kayan has a lot of similarities with Kenyah, just a slight difference lah. From what I know, Kayan is like a culture trapped in a middle of between Kenyah and Iban... but leaning more towards Kenyah side.
I want to give another sight about kayan culture.becouse my father is kayan my mother is kenyah. Actually kayan tribes are original clan in borneo.kayan river show how are clan who first live at that river.althrought many similarity in dayak clans, but they have they own culture. That all from me. Salam dayak bersatu.....
a remarkable and haunting music of people living at the mercy of nature and the jungles and rainforests of Kalimantan Island .........this music should be an inspiration to the world.
My grandparents were Born there :) Some of Chinese/Eu descent but still feel very strong connection to those places. Very cool sounds and interesting to see
Horassssss..... Kita sama sama menjaga kebudayaan yg katanya primitif.... Ternyata.... Wouuuww...... Awsome.... 😎😎😎
pure dance.... this is what we want bukanya tarian masa kini di ubah suai yg cepat cepat je gerakan nya mcm nak bergojet pun ada. Kami nak tarian yg asli bukan gubahan ikut cita rasa moden yg agak janggal tariannya... Sy rasa pertunjukkn pentas atau kelas tarian perlu menitik beratkan tarian @ teknik tarian asal setiap tarian bumiputera sarawak.
Aku sll ngga video ngajat n rejang beuh, lps ya ada komen cam tuk, mau asal xmok nk moden, alu aku fkr cdak org ulu xda bbalah kecam mngecam kedak tok, dln brapa bulan tok muji, ttiba ngga nak tuk rupa pia juak tek, nyesal sis muji.. Apa salah nya sm minat, pelancong dtg of course mok kn klainan serta segar n btenaga, xjuak mok mdh nk asal xbgs, mun tauk dua2 kdak sis tok bgs g, eh, muji drik, that's why cdak kebudayaan molah ya lebih moden, think out of box people..
High five for her and her her dance. In kayan it is called the hivan sin doh, not ngajat, please!!! Yes, this is it., the real kayan dance and the best I have seen at youtube: slow and graceful. Kayan groups should hire this woman to give dance lessons for girls before the real kayan dance is gone forever.
Beautiful!!! This brings back memories to highschool dance class. ouiiii our dance instructor called us 'induk induk'.. we were all smiles giggly and shy. Beautiful authentic music from Sarawak, Proud to be Sarawakian - Malaysian. Thank you for sharing.
its so beautiful dance.. very nice... one of masters single dance of women. amazing... i lov it so much.... hope to meet n see u in moment dance next. im kenyah also.

Be proud of the ancestral beautiful & spiritual colture. Do not allow the Malayans to destroy this special culture their Program of Malaynazation of the Borneons.
there r 2 techniques to learn this dance. first, learn the movement from other dancer but u will performing the dance without knowing the reasons of ur steps. second, learn by understand the music and culture of our tribe... the hornbil and Dayak it self. if u learn this wy... u will dance like one of us.
Hear & See is good enough..jgn gaduh...should be proud of the sape still a live by the peoples of Borneo, not orang ulu sahaja. Jgn surprise klau bangsa jepun can play the sape jadi apa u mau cakap ???... temberang betul..tq
lagu lembut kalem indah .... tapi....jika dihayati dgn seksama...iramanya adalah gerak.langkah dan semangat kepahlawanan seorang Dayak yg penuh kesatria....
Like the old video this is a vary beautiful dance, I am not suy of the meaning of it but it seems like they are being like a bird flying and some times walking on the ground.
Kua'-kua' te'leu mirip ngan tiga tawai, se'lu tawai, se'lu kimet, se'lu atai teleu nyelada dulu ira’ uva’e ka ngenja’at lebu’lu ni, tiga lu tawai lu, ngan lesau ira’ asi’ murip kume ileu, mpei lu uva’ ja’at kimet ngan senganak lu, selepe'apan
Yup. Ibans, Bidayuhs and Orang Ulus all originate from Indonesia. BUT most Orang Ulus have migrated to the interior parts of Sarawak. The reside in the Longs... I'm from Long Ikang! :P
ibans and other orang ulu (whatever tribes) have great beautiful music like this sape. Probably someone of these tribes can commercialise these beautiful music internationally like those of the african music. Common my iban and orang ulu friends do something to this great sound.
