Honestly I enjoy Championship teams more than the Premier league teams! The elite teams at the top are mostly doing kind of football formula, with fixed patterns for passing and pressing, the lower leagues have more unpredictability and fun!
great highlights. love there is no score highlights. Its important, it truly is, because of this i have become way more interested in championship than the same old premier league. Really got into Middlesborough last season and Leeds had some really exciting players. I think it would be great if both clubs got promoted this season and should both be strong as they had great runs last season. Middlesborough at one point had ten games undefeated before christmas or february either one lol Leeds were so dominant at the end cant believe they didnt get automatic promotion. Wish you wouldnt have spoilers in the title though
Burgzorg as done more for Middlesbrough in one game than he did for Huddersfield all in one season . He did F-all. There must be something in the water up in Teesside for this to happen.
🤣We found out he was putting his boots on the wrong feet. Never mind, you'll get back soon enough and you'll get plenty of laughs out of Leeds this season by the looks of it
I'm enjoying the overall quality of the selection and editing - there's a nuance that I haven't seen since MOTD Lynham era - but onlyone suggestion - or question - why no team lineups at the start? Seems like useful value for viewers.
People don't understand about Carrick at the Boro. He's not in it for the money, he's in it for the fun of being allowed to build the team he wants to play the way he wants. It's all about the project. In Steve Gibson he has one of the best chairmen in English football. Carrick's just signed a new long term contract and his position is rock solid, because Gibson believes in him. Last season we took two points from our first seven games. He would have been sacked before Christmas at either Man U or Chelsea. Both those jobs are poison.
At 4:23 there are 3 Boro players on the edge of the box with 4 Leeds players around them, but none close enough to any of them to stop any of them from turning and shooting. This is schoolboy defending, and there are plenty of other examples. If Farke hasn’t got our defending sorted out in pre-season then wtf has he been doing in the last month? We’re not going up if we continue to defend like this. It’s mid-table this season on this form.
No fan of either team but Leeds have lost the heart of their team and need to rebuild quickly to have any chance of competing this year. Was impressed by Boro last season and looks like they’re going in the right direction
Leeds fan here. 1. MOT ALAW anyway, always. 2. Defence should defend. 3. Even when you place a lot of replacements in the starting XI, It is supposed to see a team on the pitch, but we saw 11 players just spread on the pitch.
It's what i've always said. Leeds have a very weak squad, and it's ever been the case, for the last decade. Too many people mistake the under 21's for first-team footballers? Besides, LUFC know they'll never win a trophy, they're playing for the `hope' of Prem wages, like the rest of football, outside of the mini-league of super-rich clubs!
@@shill6449 The weak squad played well with Bielsa. Then we can see the Bielsa's players sold in the years doing very poorly in the new teams. And I didn't understand what kind of game plan Farke has, last and present year. And I didn't understand what the 49ers want to do with our team. But it maybe I am the stupid and they are the smart ones...
@@carlosanguineti956 Until the second season in the Prem. One injury to Bamford and Leeds had nothing to replace him with? We were finished after that. Bielsa resorted to playing James at CF, and Luke at CB due to Cooper's `standard' six-games-a-season, frailty. As i said, we had weak back-up players then, and we do today. Hence Middlesborough's second-stringers, so much better than ours?
@@shill6449 I fully agree with you. But the weak back-up players was not Bielsa's fault. I think the management, then and now, keep too much money in their pockets. The fact I don't understand the Farke's game plan remains. I saw LUFC in good times (frustrating anyways, always second or runner-up) and bad times. But I loved Revie's and Bielsa's way.
@@ht8286 Over £100 million received and another £40 million for Rutter and only about £17 million spent. I think there is money there as well as the 49ers having cash too.
@@ht8286 They have made around £100 million plus £40 million for Rutter and only spent around £17 million They are hardly broke especially as the 49ers have lots of money.
Leeds up the middle offered no offensive threat. Ampadu and Piroe look terrible. Sure they can make meaningless passes and hold some possession. But they aren’t dynamic and really don’t facilitate any significant offensive threat. They brought in the starters and looked worse.
Leeds threw the game, enjoy your cup run Boro, but we left our actual talent on the bench ,we didn't have any intention of winning this match ,what's the point ? You can win every game in the Car boot cup and your reward is getting spanked in the final by Man city or the like ,waste of time and too big a risk to players getting injured.
As a Manchester United fan, I couldn't care less about this 2nd rate Yorkshire derby... other that seeing how our future manager is developing.... very nicely. 😁
Well played Boro, you could have had 5, as far as Leeds are concerned Farke should be sacked, the team was all over the place and the defending?? This team won't be promoted this year, they are not good enough! As for Farke he's does what he always does and it never works! Delusion is often the downfall of many a team!
