You need to buy recovery boards, a shovel, and a winch. I want a gypsy wagon so bad but I'm camping in my minivan right now ~ Elaine

Thanks for the update! During the warmer summers you can find lovely cool weather on the central Oregon coast. Lots of hiking trails, steams and waterfalls, cooler forests, and of course lovely beach walks. I’ve moved south to the orchards near Sequoia, but summers here can be brutal.

Be careful with the heat, once you’ve had heat stroke, you’ll always be more sensitive to the heat. You may need to put more aggressive off-road tires on the pickup truck if you plan on much off road camping. Even with 4 wheel drive, street tires won’t get you out of the sand or mud. Looks like a nice picturesque vacation spot, just in better weather.

Yes, it is strange, because I am super sensitive to the heat now, even with the AC, I got nauseous every time I went outside! Got very good tires, I was just unexperienced towing a heavy load through the sand. Learned that lesson the hard way…..

I’ve lived in Cali my whole life and your videos are showing me how little I know about the state. I didn’t even know places like this existed lol, I’m living through you rn. Have you considered getting a Jackery Explorer 1500? I feel like that will help with electricity. Also with air conditioning and our other electronic devices. I’m sorry to hear about the heat stroke :/ California has no business being this hot in December. It’s a different story at night; it gets cold-suuuper cold! Thank you for giving us a great video and more of your doggy content. He is sooo cute. Get some much deserved rest and I hope it cools down so you can continue on with your adventures! I might even consider traveling. All because of u!

I have the Jackery 500 amongst 2 other brand solar generators., plus a truly portable AC now, the Mark2, check out this video! It works amazingly well. This footage was recorded this year in July, during the heat wave. I am sure it is much cooler now. Glad to hear that I inspired you!!! ;-)ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kb7Rk7bPByw.html

When you drive on sand you need to lower your tire pressure. It’s called “airing down.” You have less chance of puncturing your tires as well. You should invest in recovery gear like a shovel, Go Treads (a traction mat), an air compressor to inflate/deflate your tires and a tire repair kit. The sculpture is of a dragon, not a rattlesnake 😉

I do have recovery gear, it was not very helpful in this situation
