BORUTO AND MITSUKI VS SHINO! || MITSUKI'S SACRIFICE! || BORUTO REACTION: Episode 6. This Boruto reaction Shino called in only Boruto, Mitsuki, and Shikadai to meet at a spot in the forest. They thought they were going to get scolded, but little did they know Shino was already possessed and taken over by the evil blue chakra! Shino reveals his plan to kill all of them, and Boruto tries to smack him out of it. Boruto fails and gets most of his chakra zapped by Shino's bugs, so they quickly escape to make a game plan. They come up with a game plan thanks to Shikadai!
The game plan is for Shikadai and Boruto to be baits for Shino's bugs because he isn't being efficient with his attacks, while Mitsuki does his extendo arms under the water and drags Shino under with him. Mitsuki succeeds, but Shino reveals he has underwater bugs too, forcing Mitsuki to do a lightning jutsu. He knocks the possessing chakra out of Shino, and throws him out of the water, but he used too much chakra and quickly sinks. Boruto tries to go after him, but he's running on fumes too. Shino, exhausted too, dives down to them and summons a GIANT beetle to get them out of the water! Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki realize their faults, and reconcile with Shino, who apologizes!
Pretty intense battle, and like Naruto said, if Shino was serious and had full control over his actions, the kids wouldn't have stood a chance! lol

Yeah....to me I really don’t see it as filler in the manga, I see it as an more detailed explanation towards Boruto’s story. Like the manga’s plot is fire but it barely shows off Sarada, Mituski’, and Sumire’s character imo. Idk, the series is good as a whole anyway

Man, the Slice of Life episodes (thatareallcanon) really expands the Boruto story in a way that the manga can't because it's monthly and only about 40 pages. Tbh, the anime, is the full Boruto story.

@@TXNIZ that was the plan for this show, you know how the intro is so vibrant. The author said they wanted to make the show colorful and slowly turn it into one of their darkest series. Naruto had nothing, and gains everything, and this is a symbolism to Boruto having everything jolly golly and then losing everything, and being in total wreck.

Agreed but even saying mitsuki had a chance is stretching it a bit. In this kind of fight his survival ability is defintely the highest but Shino dominates for sure. I always took Naruto's passing comment to mean, if Shino was doing it his actual, own way, it would have been a one and done fight. He wouldnt have shown himself, he would have used his affinity to break things down and planned so far ahead he would have stomped in one go. He is a lot more like \kashi when he fights, takes his time, uses chakra as much to learn or lead the enemy, and then trying to take him out in one strike.

It makes you realise that even the weaker Konoha 11 are incredibly strong now compared to Jonin back in the day. Shino I think is one of the highest Jonin level Shinobi after Shikamaru.
