Bosch C7 Car Battery Charger Mode Selection Not Working (Fixed) 2022. Unable to press the mode selection when try to charge a flat or total drained battery. I found the solutions and is a simple fixed. Please watch the video in details.

Thanks for sharing. Really useful. C7 will automatically detect & charging the battery if it still have around 7.5v and above. For C3, 6v is the lowest.
Wow, you know much better than me. I called Bosch support center and none of them able to advise me. I was about to sent for warranty claim.. Thanks alot for sharing
Thankyou for your video. In my case, the battery only have 6v left. So,when i try to use adaptor mode,it will cancel and return to standby mode. Luckily, i have another car. I jump the battery first. After around 10 minutes, the voltage was around 12v and decreasing. I quickly connect to C7 charger and choose regen mode. And i did it. Bosch assume that 7.5v and lower is not worth to regen and charge,but i will give it a try.
This was in my case as well, when the voltage drops under 7v the C7 will not able to charge the battery, all of the functions are useless than. It does not better than the C3
@@flybywirekennel following my case before. The battery still works fine till today. Good news for me. Had been using the battery from end of 2017.now 82k km already. Hitachi 55d23l.
@@hilmijalil3413 i see, so if you wanted to use the c7 with a flat battery get another charger or or jump start from another battery, and than you are able to use the c7.... that makes c7 still useless
Ну так либо режим питания включить, либо параллельно в цепь поставить еще один АКБ такой, чтобы напряжение было достаточным для режима зарядки - в руководстве же написано, что при глубоком разряде уходит в защиту.
Jus to be honest with you, if the battery is end of life, example performance degraded due to prolong usage, it cannot be revive/repair..Bosch c7 only good if the battery still good but the car was unused for long time OR the car having some issue in charging the battery by itself

I tried to attempt my dead battery charging after putting C7 in that particular mode only for 30 minutes.. And attempted charging mode.. It worked.. Just sharing my experience. Thank you so much.. It saved me time and effort to unplug the battery and to take it to a shop for charging. 😊
In my case mode button wasn't doing anything and whenever I switched to power supply mode it would quickly switch back to standby. I had to disconnect the car cables from the battery, then run the C7 on power supply mode for few minutes (when you hold the mode button for 3 seconds) and finally then the mode button started to work.
Logically when you use the adapter mode thru C7 charger to maintain the electrical components settings in ur car, ur music player should be workable. Honestly i never tried b4. Do let me know the result. Tey read the user manual on how to use the adapter mode correctly. Tq
Im not familiar with C3 but logically should be the same. Switch it to adapter mode n let it connect with the drained battery for 30mins to 1hour and try again This time should work
On my flat battery I tried to push mode selection buttom longer, but does not stay in adapter mode it's blink yellow for 1 seconds than immediately switch back to blue, stand by mode. Only my old battery charger was able to charge it, which does not have electronics

@@drcheongtv From France . When I connect the battery to the charger, flawless, but at the end the light turns blue, maybe this indicates that the charger is in sleep mode. And as I think I have a loss of current on the car, the charger wakes up on its own (like a big 🤣). I'll leave it plugged in and check.
@@drcheongtv Thanks for your answer. I read the user manual, it says after the battery is fully charged, it would activate pulse mode which would charge the battery if the volts dropped below 12.8 - I read that it would make the device very warm. My concern is the device would melt. Thoughts?
Maybe it applicable for cooler country, for Malaysia is super hot. I personally won't leave it stay connected for toooo long. Do let me know the result of you tried it ya..
If the device battery voltage is below 7.5 volts, it will not start the process and will not allow the mode selection, it can be taken to power supply mode, because you put it in this mode, the device increases the voltage of the battery and exceeds 7.5 volts for charging and you select the mode and start charging, I recommend you to read the user manual.
@@drcheongtv it doesn't have the option you have, i could trigger the green mode with a 9volt batterie. Now i have 2 options, one green and says the batterie is completely charged and the blue one. Nothing happen after
Usually this happened when ur battery totally drained off hence bosch unable to detect it as a battery. C7 will hav the adaptor mode to pump in some amount of electric to the battery but sadly C3 dnt have that mode, hence I'm not sure what we can do with the C3 model.
@drcheongtv i bought the CTEK MXS 5.0, its charging. The bosch i will give to my father to maintain the batteries he has! The bosch its a bit a waste of money.
Sorry for the late reply Shibli, R mode is used for battery that very low in battery but still hav certain percentage voltage in it. If your battery is total flat, 0% battery, R mode will not work. You need to use the adaptor function to charge in some voltage before use R or normal charging. Thanks for ur question, as I know, Bosch C7 can use to charge wet cell, dry cell, gel type, AGM battery But cannot charge lithium ion batteries. So answer is No.

If the battery is more or less complete- ly flat, the LED (15) may flash for up to 3 hours. During this period, a constant current level of 1500 mA flows into the battery to restore its capacity. Regeneration mode is deactivated after a maximum of four hours. If the battery has still not been fully charged, the charger switches to a normal charging mode. After successful charging of the battery, the LED will light up (11) and (10) go out. After a short delay the unit switches automatically to trickle charge mode and the LED (11) flashes. You r right. Now i know it after went thru the experience of total flat battery. Previously i hav no issue selecting charging but now i know this normal charging will not work for total flat battery. Need to select R...
