Bosch Error 500 - DIY Solution 

I had my first-ever error show up yesterday on my Bosch CX Performance Line powered 2021 Focus Jam2 6.8 9
Once the error 500 code showed up on my KIOX display, the bike started switching itself off while I was riding, and I had to pedal without assistance until I turned it back on again. This process was repeated about 4 times before I gave up and rode back to the car unassisted. Luckily the car was close by.
This is the explanation Bosch gives you for an Error 500 code.

Internal drive unit fault
Solution steps:
Restart the system. If the problem persists, contact your Bosch eBike dealer."
I had no time for dealing with dealers, so I had a go myself.
This video explains what I did to fix the problem which actually had nothing to do with the motor itself.
Please note that not all error 500 codes relate to the same problem I experienced, as this was one of many. So it may seem according to various internet threads.
