Hi good video. How ever the reason your filter blocks up is because that black sack is not designed for small particles. If you buy the fleece bags your never have this problem again had mine years chased hundreds of walls with the chasers never cleaned my filter.

Lol yep, I had a big face palm moment when I discovered this a while ago. Did an entire video on the different types of bags and how I have used each one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D0vT45dP_aw.html&ab_channel=VisionlessDesigns

How is it for regular floor cleaning. Is the metal pipe long and stable enough

very nice video. thanks. It seems the extractor stays on for another 15 secs after the tool is turned off. I guess there is no setting that can make the delay shorter? thanks

Hi there, no unfortunately there isn't. I'm fairly certain that the reason for it is so that it has time to clear the hose/tool of any chippings/dust and probably to clean the filter by backfiring while there is nothing being sucked in. Sometimes it seems a bit long. Other times it's handy incases like using a router when it hasn't fully cleared a slot of chippings, you can detach the hose and do a quick hoover without going and manually turning the hoover on. If it's under my chopsaw I sometimes just switch it from auto to off then straight back and it shuts it up, but I only really do this if someone needs to talk to me.

Thx for your review. I`m currently pending between a vacuum with an airstream regulator and without one. I have read that this feature is helpfull when using the vacuum with a sander to prevent it from sucking the sander to the ground. To you find this to be true/ do you use this function while using the sander? I am saking because the vacuums without this feature are significantly cheaper.

If you are referring to the airflow regulator (the ability to adjust the suction power) then I wouldn’t worry to much about your hoover sucking sanders to your work piece. I can use this on full power while using any of my sanders (Belt, Orbital, Palm Sander, 2 different 150mm Random Orbital Sanders) and not have to worry about being sucked on to the work piece. The only tool I have had this happen with is my angle grinder, with a dust cowl attached to it, for which I just opened the relief valve on the handle. The main thing I use the variable power for is to save a little bit of electric and make less noise while doing general hoovering of my workshop. If you are concerned about your tools being sucked to the work piece, just make sure to get a hoover with a suction relief valve on the handle.

Hi Damien, Is it possible to blow out the filter with a workshop or leaf blower, when you clean it? I mean if you take it to some far corner of the garden well away from the workshop. And how decent is it for thickness planers? My current shop vac can handle handheld tools but struggles with the table saw or thicknesser. One last question please, for average use, sanding, chop saw, table saw, and cleaning up saw dust around the shop, including some odd non wood materials such as the occasional screw or bit of plastic, do you need to use some kind of filter bag or it's bagless?

A few good questions there. Yes, it is possible to use a leaf blower, but it might be a bit awkward. I personally use an air compressor - just remember a dust mask. Bit of an awkward one to answer this. It depends on the size of the tool you are using. For example, the planers in my workshop use either a 100mm dust port or a 63mm dust port, so there is no chance of it working on them. It also depends on the amount you would be planing as my extractor with a 210L bin on it fills up with planings in a couple of hours. If it is a small planer, and you are not planing much, I am sure it would be fine; but you may want to get the 50L version or a dust collection box that goes between the extractor and the tool. And for the last question, you want to use a filter bag, ideally the fleece bags as it will make the filter last a lot longer. I recently did a video on this - here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D0vT45dP_aw.html&ab_channel=VisionlessDesigns

Have you compared to some other brands? I first thought about getting something from Karcher, but my tools (I am just a home user) are Bosch based.

I was originally debating between a Festool and a Trend hoover that would have been cheaper. What ultimately pushed me towards this one was the definite compatibility with all of my tools (of many brands), and the extra accessories you can buy to ensure compatibility with other brands. Most people would probably be fine with the cheaper, L class version of this hoover. For me, personally I wanted something that I could trust to catch as much dust as possible and keep it in, as when using my grandads hoover (Aldi brand), I couldn't tell that it was blowing the ultra fine dust back into the air. Another thing to consider, even as a home user, is how long you plan on using this for and how long you want to be able to have access to replacement parts. Something like my Makita 9401 belt sander is over 15 years old and I can still get parts, whereas my Erbauer sander stopped doing replacement parts after about 2 years. Sorry for the late response. I hope this helps.

How does it perform as a normal vacuum cleaner i.e. on carpets?
@VisionlessDesigns
@VisionlessDesigns 2 года назад
Sorry for the late response. Personally, didn't find it overly great on carpet when compared to a hoover with a rotating brush in it. Gets the big bits but doesn't go as deep into the carpet.

Erm Clean filter erm new bag erm hose set to 15 erm and erm my extractor keeps f-ing beeping I need to remove the alarm or does anyone know how to shut it the Fock up apart from buying a festoon ct?????? I’ve tried everything opening the red ring to increase air flow I’ve even bent the metal tab up to stop it hitting the sensor. Lovely kit but the afc function is annoying and constant alarm going off is f-ing me off

Sorry for all the 'ums' - I've been trying to refrain from doing it for future videos. So, for your alarm problem: if I've had trouble with the alarm, the first thing I do is detach the pipe and turn the hoover on to see if it still beeps and how the suction on the hoover is. If there is no alarm, and the suction is good, I would then attach the pipe while the hoover is still running and see if the alarm comes on and the suction drops. This will confirm whether or not it's the pipe. If it still beeps when the pipe is detached, I would empty the hoover and clean the filter. If nothing changes still, I would detach the pipe, take out the bag, and make sure there is no dust in the machine whatsoever; then I would remove the filter, as well, and turn the hoover on with the filter removed, making sure not to suck anything into the hoover for risk of damaging the motor. This will confirm whether it's the filter or the electrics. If the beeping stops, the problem will be your filter. If the noise still persists, I would say to take it back for repairs or replacement, as you would have a faulty unit. I hope this helps you.

Bosch gas 35 L, - M AFC the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had.. the filter system expensive and will amortizing in short time, the hose also.. after half year, it break away ... The service also terrible. I So Do not buy if You would to use vacum cleaner as professional...

Sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with yours. When it comes to the filters, I found that they were clogging up quickly until I realised that I was using the wrong bags and needed to use either the paper or fabric bags for dust. The hose on mine has lasted me almost 3 1/2 years of being used 3-5 days a week. I don't have to worry about standing on the hose with this one unlike the new Trend wet/dry extractor I got to use in my treatment room. I can't comment on the Bosch customer service as I have not had to use it; hopefully they manage to sort your problems out for you.
