I now have this tool, and have used it for a couple hours. This review is accurate. Only drawback is that you need to open the chuck to insert the blade.

I purchased this saw last spring and it has been great! Amazed at the difference between this an the standard Bosch 18v reciprocating saw. I’m a remodeling/framing contractor. In my experience Milwaukees are junk! Don’t waist your money buy smart.

Since this summer I've invested a lot in Bosch tools. I've never really owned battery powered tools before, only used other's. I agree with what has been said that in general Bosch should step up the game. I was a bit disappointed not to be able to buy brushless circular saw and jigsaw, all though they have great power. I think their new top model grinder is good, but the bluetooth stuff isoverrated. I just also purchased the new model reciproating saw - waiting for it to show up in the mailbox :) All in all I think Bosch is great, but they are slacking a littlebit! But they have made many improvements lately! Hoping for a new bruhless circular saw!

I'm already on 2 18v systems (Makita, Milwaukee), but this, plus their core tech. has me seriously considering a third, or maybe dropping Milwaukee. They don't have many tools in their lineup compared to the latter two, but what they do, they do right. Lots of nice features that actually take usability into account and not just trying to claim "the most" this or that.

everyone acts like bosch is so far behind but it's not true. bosch has quality tools that last forever. this will be the best recip saw available. I own there drills and to me they perform better then any red or yellow competitor I've used.

Seems like a nice saw but they're like a year late to compete with Dewalt and Milwaukee. Sure it has a couple new features but it's also late to the party. I'm sure the Bosch guys will love it but their goal needs to be gaining red and yellow users, hard to do that when you're running behind.

BMack37 Bosch here in Europe is everywhere. You can't find Milwaukee anywhere so we have the same issues over here. Dewalt is also very popular here. Would like to see more Milwaukee on offer, but it's stupider expensive also.

Its interessting that the GSA 18 32 is still almost identical in specs to the new Milwaukee M18 FSZ both 32mm stroke. The different is it has 500 strokes per minute less. 2500 to 3000 but for this it has orbital what you only find on the FSX. It is 4 years older than the comparable Milwaukee and it still is like only a second slower.. Took Milwaukee almost 4 years to get a saw in comparable size and weight to the GSA 18 32 but Bosch is so behind 🤣

Sorry man the text cut out. I'm not sue on that tool [36v saw] - I have not tested it. My guess is that it will have more power and weight.

As usual, Bosch is always too late. I'm too invested in Milwaukee to buy into their system now. The US always gets things too little too late.

Brett Kowalewski agreed - I wonder why? Is it UL Testing that holds them up?
@Pro1er
@Pro1er 7 лет назад
While I agree, I would rather have a Milwaukee or Dewalt sawzall over a Bosch anyway. However one feature I do really like on the Bosch is the separate speed control wheel. I would find that very useful.

A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz I'm not sure exactly, but if you look at their tool lineup in Europe, it is impressive. I remember when theycame out with their 12v line at the same time as Milwaukee. The almost identical hackzall, mini impact, etc. I thought the were finally turning up the competition here in the states. Within a year or so, Milwaukee buried them. Especially in the plumbing arena. Bosch makes a great tool, but I feel like the US market is secondary and mostly unimportant to them.
@Pro1er

I waited two years(!) for the Bosch 12V rotary tool to come to the US and it's still not available here. A few weeks ago I went out and bought a competitor's equivalent.

ive heard the market for bosch is not as good in us and eu..... its sucks im invested in bosch but can only get certain us tool .... if you order a eu model of the web ..... they dont and wont honor the warranty for the eu tools in the us ....... im at a point where i need more selection..... if they dont step it up ....im gonna have to go with another brand that i can get tools they have ...... im hard core bosch .... but cmon ..... i cant buy 3 different brands to have a certian tool ..... but im limited with bosch .... shame really
