Hi Tim, thanks so much for the video. I wasn't sure if I had set-up mine correctly but the comparison with yours made me confident. Videos like yours help so much!! Greetings from Germany :)
I like near Munich, but my same machine makes a bang when the wheel is turned to a program and the pump works on/off/on/off and not a continuous sound.. Are these tow thing normal?
This was really helpful. Just got this model yesterday and was having difficulty working out how to set it. I will probably use this ‘cottons’ setting, and being able to fix the temperature and give it a good spin will probably be my regular setting. The instruction booklet is rather complicated, whereas you are so clear, many thanks.
@@baldytimsreviews8204 I was just wondering for the Bosch Serie 4 can you use washing powder detergent rather than liquid detergent to wash the clothes? Why I ask is because in the Bosch manual it obly recommends using liquid detergents that are self flowing. Thank you, Tom.

I'm actually always wondering: Why are there people out there, who give such videos a dislike? I mean, people or in this case a couple take their time to record a video, explaining and showing their washing machine, so others can take a look at it prior to buying it - but yet some people just dislike it. Like I don't even understand what surface such videos could give someone, to actually dislike it. Anyways, thanks for the video. I ordered a Series 4 as well, a newer one but should be roughly the same.
Bosch WAN24064BY, 7 kg...big vibrations, rattle before spinning (minute 8:23 of the video) and before the machine stops...removed the transport screws...the air bubble ruler indicates well... what can it be? thanks
Interesting. I've got a Serie 4 Bosch washer. It's 2 years old now and has been problem free but over the last 2 weeks on certain loads it is making a loud noise when on a 1200 spin. It's never done this before. The machine feels stable and a spirit level indicates it's level too, so I've no idea what's wrong with it 🙁

hi Tim..thanks for video...any comments on pre-purchase reviews pls?..Why u choose Bosch? im looking at 5 brands inc AEG, Samsung, LG, etc...any special feature u think Bosch has vs competition?
Hi, we chose the Bosch due to a combination of decent reviews, knowing it’s a good brand and a decent price was available at the time. Good idea for another video though, I may make one on our purchasing decision soon, thanks Tim
Just bought the equivalent Bosch machine. It's pretty good, but the top spin speed of 1400 doesn't dry the washing quite as well as my previous AEG machine with a top spin speed of 1600.
Hi Tim, quick question, what's the best way of ensuring original, drain hose is in the correct position when I push the machine back in, please? Drain hose is connected to waste pipe under kitchen sink. Many thanks 🙏🏻
HOwdy Great video and demo! My door on this exact same washing machine just broke....hopefully there are spare parts around?? It's been a great washing machine for the last few years!
Thank you for this demo! I hate this machine - not at all user friendly. I wish they just had wash and stop ONLY. So many buttons! Moved in with my mom and this is what she has so thank you for helping me to figure out how to use it :)
Hi guys, I’ve had a few requests to do more washing machine reviews, I’ve got none planned immediately but will aim to get some more on in the next few weeks.

Can anyone say if this is normal? I bought exactly this model last week. When I start from off, and turn the wheel to any position, it gives out after 2 seconds a loud "clack", more like a Bang. I have not yet started the program. The sound is like an electrical "bang" discharge. However, the machine seems to work Ok. THEN, during the pump phase to get rid of the water, the pump does NOT give out a Grrrrrrrrrrrr sound, i.e. a continuous pumping sound, like the other two old machines we have, but more of a cyclic: pump on, pump off, pump on, pump off etc. The water disappears, but it is loud because it is on off on off etc. Are these two above things normal, or is it broken "as delivered" i.e. is a faulty machine?
Just got the machine and was unsure how to operate. Your demonstration was very helpful. However, I neverquite understand why the cycle is so long. In America the machines are usually no longer than an hour and in Europe or Israel they are 2-3 hours. How efficient is this for energy? Anyway, I can't wait to try. Last question are you able to use laundry powder?
Most of the expense in a washing cycle is heating the water. Longer eco washes use the same water for a lot of the wash so don't have to keep reheating. Obviously not for heavily stained washing but uses less energy. Slowly turning the drum for a couple of hours doesn't use much energy...
After 10 minutes shewill reduce the time according to the weight of the clothes,in this case the maximum time that she is goin to spend will be 1.30 minutes considering that is allmost empty machine
Hi just watched yr review on noisy levels with the bouch series 4 eco silence I've just purchased this machine I do the mixed load program I find it very noisy at the spinning sycle and I was wondering why it's so noisy especially when it's supposed to be silent and also when it's spinning the machine is shaking .I have the ma home a few days I only have the 1200 spin mine I tryed the cotton programe and someone suggested to shorten the time to press the speed perfect sycle I did notice after using that programe I noticed the increase in the noice level do you think it could be a considance is the machine suppose to be noisy during the spin what do you suggest reducing the spin level to around 800 instead of 1200 Patricia obrien
Hi, have you checked that the machine is firm and level? If you put your hands on it and try to rock it, does it move at all, even slightly? It shouldn’t move at all. If it’s not that, it may just be a faulty machine I’m afraid.
Thank you, the user manual isn't very clear. I was slightly alarmed at how few items you put in the machine, such a waste of energy and water. We must all reduce our consumption.
Can the person in the video doing the washing just stop talking? The only sound I can hear is his..are you asking us to review your voice, for God's sake?
