Having used the A20 for 10+ years and the ProFlight for 2+ in a pretty noisy 737 I do feel its unfair to say the ProFlight doesn't attenuate "much" or has "minuscule" reduction and that it "pales" in comparison to the over the head A20. Clearly there IS a difference but the ProFlight certainly holds its own in high ANR mode, the moment you turn it on you do get the "the entire world went away" sensation you expect from an ANR headset. The issues with ProFlight are the fiddlyness of taking them on and off, and then storing them vs. the much more straightforward A20 and the A20 (and I assume new A30) produce the most ANR reduction of all, clearly an advantage if you are flying piston GA aircraft. If you don't need the absolute max in ANR and are willing to spend a few more seconds setting them up and then taking them off you get a much lighter headset, with still good ANR, no sunglass pressure spots etc. Great review!
Awesome review! Just want to let you know that me and many of my colleague were using the series 1. And it just a nightmare, when you turn on a noise canceling. It will have a loud and uncomfortable high frq sound out of nowhere and has no indication what so ever. Send back to BOSE few time and still has this issue. But other colleague that are using the Series 2 has no issue at all. Don't know why......

Do you happen to know what the headband material is made of? Not the padding but the actual headband itself; I have tried one of the Mk 2 versions and found the headband squeezed my head too much. If it's metal I'm sure it can be widened but I'm wary of breaking it if it's plastic...
