Earbuds have become an essential part of my daily routine. They're great for workouts, commuting, and drowning out background noise when I need to focus.
The tip I was looking for was how to get them to stop "forgetting" how to connect! It's friggin' annoying to spend the $$ we do on ear buds only to have connection issues. It's great if you connect every day, but if your ear buds sit longer than a few days it seems, they just fail to connect to a certain device completely and I have to go through the pairing process all over again! Very annoying!
Dude man I love ya… you had to have com classes at college level or more. I appreciate good work and this is an exceptional video in quality, content and delivery. You my friend receive an A+. Lots of information and the way you speak I get it. Thank you Sir
These are great. I just got yesterday 40 mile bike ride today. They never came close to coming loose. Rode next to train tracks while a train was passing. Couldn't even hear it.
I didn’t see where these are compatible with Bose Connect. I was hoping to use the Find my Earbuds feature in the event that I lose them or misplaced them in the house. Do you happen to know if this will be available anytime soon?
Awesome video you showed me a lot. Didn’t know these Earbuds had all those features and how customizable they are. Thanks. Keep up the Great Work. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for this video, you gave me the confidence to finally buy these. I was holding back because of what I call "internet rumours" where someone mentioned these buds don't work well in windy conditions...and then that gets repeated by other people on the 'net, trying to sound smart. I spent 1½ hours outside in windy conditions, mowing our large garden. The mower sound was quashed and the wind didn't affect the sound quality on my podcast. My guess is that people who do experience wind noise problems have a bad fit with these buds. That is always a risk with any buds, the fit and comfort are very personal. Even so, BOSE do offer an expanded fitting kit, with even smaller plugs and some larger bands.
great video!! is there a power indicator for the charging case? I had to search high and low and the best I came up with was white light, white light on for 5 seconds, amber light, etc. for something this expensive I would think there is a case power indicator somewhere?
@@chrisfaller3995 I find that the noise cancellation is better, so I don't hear almost anything while I'm working, and the battery lasts longer with the charging case.
@@chrisfaller3995 My AirPods Pro we’re sent back 3 times. First time, blown speaker. Second, the AirPods would come loose inside the charging case and I’d end up with a dead battery. 3rd was another blown speaker and connectivity issues. Had to forget the device and re do the Bluetooth setup every time I put them back in the case. Got so mad I finally threw them out of my window while driving. Enough of that garbage. Just on build quality alone, I’d take the Bose any day. They feel better in the hand and in the ear. Not to mention I have zero issues with speakers or connectivity. AirPods are just overhyped cheap junk. IMHO.
I used AirPods Pro when I am expecting a lot of phone calls specially during office hours but when listening to music these Earbuds are far better than AirPods and grip your ears a lot better too!
I got these recently and I much prefer them to the AirPods Pro I had previously. I have an iPhone so the pairing isn't as simple and you do lose out on the watch notifications, but beyond that, the QC2 are just better. Much stronger noise cancellation, I find the touch/tap controls easier to use, and being able to set various profiles is nice. (At work I can use them but have to have all the noise cancellation off).
I watch the whole video was great. I’m having a problem with left side no sound. Any troubleshooting ideas? I just subscribed I looking forward to watching more.
I going through the same... I assume now that this is how it works... I was hoping that could be a problem with the one i have... I love everything, expect this annoying noise.
@@viniciusapacitepires6713 Yes I've experienced it with other brands. If you're using them with no sound on a plane trying to sleep or something then I would play a very light calming music which will override the slight noise.
I got mine for 2 weeks now and I'm actually not very happy with them. What really annoys me is that in transparency mode you will hear a very present "white noise". Especially in a quiet environment this can get very irritating. And since you can't switch noise cancelling or transparency off there is no way around this issue. The touch feature instead of a button is something I don't like as well. First it is really loud to your ear when you tap on the ear buds to pause/play. Also the touch surface is not really precise, it misses a lot of my inputs and has a bit to much of a delay. So what happens is they either don't realize I was tapping or I will double tap because of the delay. A physical button would be sooo much nicer here! And last I was pretty underwhelmed by the sound quality. Compared to the sound sport earbuds from bose - the ones connected with a cable - they have less punch and clarity. All in all I think you get much more value for money If you stick with the sound sport ear buds. These ones here are not my cup of tea.
I completely agree! For the high price its unnaceptable to have white noise during transparency mode and to not have the option to have neither noise cancelling or aware mode enabled like the Airpod Pros do.
Had both the original soundsport (with the connecting wire between earbuds) yesterday and while I agree there's a slight difference in punchiness, that's nowhere near true RE clarity. The reason the punchiness is slightly lacking is that the soundstage is larger and the *clarity* faar greater. It's not even close. Coming from someone worried about the bass, having compared them directly these have decent bass and a sound quality far above those soundsports
You yell at the crows to "shut up"! hehehehe.....because sadly, these are no good for phone calls in noisy environments. The ONLY headsets worth a darn for talking on the phone is headsets with a highly focused boom. That is the only way to truly get "noise cancelling" on a phone call. You can't cancel out noise in a mic that is built into the device, it doesn't work. But a boom however, they can use specialty microphones in the boom that are very narrowly focused, only picking up sounds that are directly at a 45 deg angle on your face (that typically being your own voice), but all other noise that bombards it from all the other directions are filtered out. That is truly the only way to effectively cancel out noise in a call I have found.
Nothing beats a boom mic but if that's not possible and earbuds is what you want then check out either the Samsung Buds FE or Nothing Ear 2 for calls in a noisy environment
I have these too, they dont like wind, people can hear you but the noise cancelling pulses your ear if your in wind or worse driving with window down. Other than that they are exceptional in calls and music, ive been told the mic is clear but slightly quiet
Mine were working great but have had to reset em twice. Still love them and will keep for another few weeks before my return window to see if they will roll out another update to smoothen things.
I have connectivity issues, very annoying. If I don't use the earbuds for a few days, it seems to "forget " how to connect to the device the next time I use them. I have to go through the pairing process all over again. The weird thing is, it will show in the device I'm connected to (laptop for example), that it's paired, but it just won't connect. I have to forget the device and start again. I've had to do that 3x now since I bought them (only 3 or 4 weeks ago). I'm hoping some update in the future will take care of this issue.
I had a slightly older pair of Bose earbuds & they were absolutely superior! ZERO complaints. I lost (or were stolen out of my car) them so I JUST received my ultimate paid yesterday. I'm counting on their superiority. I doubt I'll be disappointed!
Is there a setting to cancel out the background noise when on a phone call? Its quiet when Im not talking but I get complaints of alot of background noise when I speak.
@@kgard43 Same here! Even in a quiet place the other side complains of too much background noise and end up using my cellphone on the call. Apart from that issue, they are great!
I just got mine. Absolutely love them. My nervous system gets wonky and i get extremely sensitive to sound to the point i can no longer function from a panic attack. These are a god send for anyone with sensory issues. Not to mention they're great on my phone and work great for gaming on my pc. Bose, pay me a little something for the free advertisement 😉
How do you turn off the touch panel on the headphones everytime my hoody touches or i adjust they pause or change song. And there is nothing in the app to disable it
@tomward9362 You cannot disable it. I even put electric tape on mine and they still go haywire. It's a major fatal flaw for me. I completely regret the purchase. The competitors like apple, sony and pixel buds all have the option to disable it.
Just got this for my bday. Hands down best earbuds I’ve ever owned! One question, can you turn off the touch controls on the buds? I find when I’m drying my head when working out, they pause or skip next song 😢
In my older set of Bose Earbuds, I was able to toggle between 2 paired devices simply by tapping one of my earbuds. Can I do the same with this pair or only through the app?
Just got these yesterday went to the gym with them and they were great but ibwear sweatshirts with the hood up and notice the hood kept hitting the touch and tap it kept pausing skipping forward and backward switching modes ect. Is there a way to change the touch sensitivity
Just bought these. Music sounds excellent. Noise canceling is amazing. Phone calls not so much. The App absolutely sucks as does Bose tech support which I couldn't reach.
Hi - great video. However, please can you tell me how to prevent background noise coming through when speaking on the phone. People keep telling me they can't hear me so well or that the background noise is overpowering my voice when in noisy environments. A regular cafe for example. I thought these were supposed to be good for calls?
Im coming from the Soundsport model and the mic sensitivity was too high, being this model has noise cancellation, would it compensate for the mic picking up distant sounds that are distracting to the listener when on a phone call?
Had these one day and send them back, didn't stay in my ears well at all. I used the large earpiece and they were too thick to connect and charge & even in the case they wouldn't disconnect from my cell. That said I love Bose earbuds, these are the only ones I have ever had an issue with.
Worst part is bose doesn’t have tracking for these earbuds only the running bose earbuds. Also it should of been like AirPods where you last had the earbuds at for tracking it down.
I love these however I have had 15 different sets because the left earbuds just stops working, or the noise cancelling stops working, they have still been under warranty with Bose and they have always sent me a new pair after they receive the non working ones back. Has anyone else had this problem? It always seems to be the left earbud that stops
I see a lot of comments on reddit about that and in reviews on US retailers sites. This is concerning & I hope this is just an issue with specific batch of these specific buds. How did your situation work out? I read that Bose replaced them for some people, I'm not sure how involved it was to get that service, if you had to buy from them directly, etc.
I'm having similar issues, but I find all I have to do, is place both back into the case, close lid for 30 seconds, take them back out again and they both work. I have connection issues as well and the only way to fix that is to "forget the device" and re-pair....*sigh*. It's a bit annoying, so I haven't decided if these are a keeper or not.
Why do phone calls sound so low ?? With these I have the full volume and my own voice off any suggestions I can barely hear the other person on the phone
I still use the qc 1 version. Just bought the qc ii. Can I use the same existing downloaded app from Bose with the QC ii version or must I delete the qc i app from Bose and install the app again for use with the Qc ii..? I ask as my dealer says to check before unboxing or refund will not apply…
I really wanted to like these. After a week of tests i just returned them. Sound quality is best in the market but connection issues, small glitches ruined all the fun. Had to go with airpods in the end.
OMG YES! Connection issues up the ying yang! I have an iphone and a Microsoft PC. All I want to do is seamlessly switch between the two, HELL NO! If I do not connect the earbuds to my PC every day, it just randomly forgets how to connect to it again. It will show that the device is paired in the bluetooth settings, but won't actually connect! I have to forget the device and re-pair! So annoying! I'm giving them another 2 weeks up to my max return date, then they're going back if it doesn't clear up!
Hey! Thanks for the review, I recently took advantage of the Black Friday sale for a pair of these. I’m sold with everything but the call quality is laughable. I couldn’t believe how awful they were. I was in like at Chipotle when I received my first call, and the person on the other line couldn’t hear my voice at all, nor I his. And this was only with some distance background music. I’m coming from Beats Studio buds which seem better to me the the Bose and they’re $200 cheaper. So these are my questions: Is it possible that this pair is defective in this feature somehow, or are these really that bad? If they really are this bad is there a chance in the future that a firmware update will make it better (because at the moment I’m thinking this is the feature I will use most, even though I love everything else about them, so they may not be worth the high cost?) Last question, when I purchased these there were only the black and the white colors, if I return them and wait a year, is there a chance that there would be additional colors and that the poor call quality would be better?
Good evening Candyce I recently bought these as well and aren't experiencing the same issue. It's possible that you have a defective device. However I'd recommend try updating your phone and possibly un pair the device from you settings and repair them. Anyway hope this helps!
@kellihull7600 That sounds really annoying for phone calls. Did you keep these buds or get a different type? Did this issue get better, if you kept them? Also, I'm trying to decide between these and Samsung Buds Pro2. I like the voice detection feature on the Samsungs where when it hears voices, the buds turn down the music volume, turns off the ANC, and turn on the ambient/transparency sound around you. This works well for me to talk with someone in real life briefly and then get right back into my music. I didn't see any mention of something like this on these Bose. Thanks
This is the lifelong dilemma. I found the ONLY headsets that work worth a damn for cancelling out noise in a call is an old-fashioned headset with a very narrowly focused boom. The only headset I have found in the industry that is worth a damn for calls is the Poly (formerly known as Plantronics) Voyager Legend or Poly 5200. That is it! The rest are crap! I can be in the noisiest environment and jump on a Teams call with colleagues and they don't know I'm even outside. It's dead quiet at their end. That's what noise cancelling should be about as far as phone calls. It's not for us the wearer, it's for the other people on the other end of the call. It should be quiet for them. So, I've just gotten used to using my Bose for music and private time and my Poly 5200 headset for work and calls.
For the life of me, I cannot get these to connect to United airlines new BlueTooth enabled screens in both cabins. It connects but then disconnects a few seconds later. Happen to have a fix for this?
Have those beauties and so far I'm very happy with them. Bought them 300 Euro abt 2 months ago. Only 2 downsides 1. No any notification through earbuds during incoming call even though the "Connection & calls" are on in the app. So if the phone is inside my backpack I miss the calls. 2. Only the right earbud have the microphone for calls, so you cannot use only the left bud if the right bud is in the case Nice video BTW!!!
How do you get to settings? If I find it, it is always by accident. When I open the app it says profile on the right and there is some other icon on the left. How do you get to about? . The app version I have is 7.1.5.
Just got some after nothing but endless problems with sennheiser momentum 3. The senn sounded great but always unpairing. Charging issues in the case. Then within 2 months one side died completely. Picked them over the bose last time. Wasn't going to make that mistake twice.
One of my earbuds is always not working. The sound is very very quiet. So practically it's only one working and these are brand new. I can't seem to get it fixed
Had to return either the AirPods Pro 2 or the new Bose. I’m trying hard to think which one would be better for me long term. I love the sound of the Bose, but the ecosystem of the AirPods are amazing. Plus I have an iphone
you can only use the right earbud standalone because it has the microphone in it. As soon as you put the right one in the case it will disconnect, even if the left one is still in your ear.
U cannot turn them off, but u can use a slider that can be set right in the middle of full transparency and full anc, basically achieving what they would sound like with it off. Unfortunately this makes them use more battery quicker. U can only use the right earbud by itself, but I've heard rumors of an update changing this so both can be used independently. Even with these small drawbacks I still think they are worth the money.
Really liked these earbuds. Until the right one stopped working after only three months and I had to ship them out to get a new set. Don't know when the replacement will come.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II I bought these would like to only use the left earphone because I'm left-handed and work only the proplem either they are off right away or they play a few songs when I close the socket. or can I only use it for two or just the right one alone?
Hey bro I bought these a few months ago.. sometimes when throwing these on they change to some sort of 3d mode for a few seconds have you experienced this at all?
Did anybody experience a short of "white noise" when using the earbuds in a quite environment? When its night and there is no external sound and no music playing, is like hearing a light rain in the yard, but inside your ears. I don't know if it's only the way it's (what would be disappointing) or if a got defective ones.
Most people have brought these for the first time wont know that bose has a ,"time to die " fixture built in to the product ,at some point soon they will start to flash red an white; after which you wont ever be able to use them again if they are in warranty you will get a replacement, if not im afraid you will be offered a small discount on a replacement
Its a shame that they aren't reliable, I've had mine 18 months they have always required factory reset when they will no longer connect to the phone correctly. The fit is ok but after an hour or so they will work them selves out, when you go to push them back in they either mute or they jump your track/video in some way. The virst version of these was much better for control and reliability.
I bought Bose QC earbuds 2 very recently. I am experiencing hissing sound when I tried to send voice messages through WhatsApp. What is the solution to resolve the hissing sound
I’m having trouble with people hearing me clearly with the earbuds 2. The original sounds better to them. I’m trying a replacement. The music quality is better in the 2. The wings don’t fit as securely, so i don’t know if that is partly why the sound is not clear on phone calls, or the music level is lower sounding with only one earbud. They also still recommend using the right bud if only using one, even though you can use either one independently with the update. That’s what i do now with the old ones. I’m still undecided.
