Hey @aaronloudnwireless I tested these ultra headphones vs the Bose QC earbuds 2 The earbuds had noticeably stronger noise cancelling: Could you do a redo of this?
The problem with the QC earbuds ultra is the horrible connectivity issues, which have not changed since the II. I own many sets of earbuds from various vendors and the QC earbuds II are the only ones ever to crap out on a flight and leave me with nothing. They abruptly disconnected and refused to reconnect. Browsing Reddit and forums you can see this is a common problem. Consequently I now stay far away from Bose. Still, thank you for your consistently great content.
That's a lie I don't have any connection issues, even after connecting to other devices, your products your trying to connect to must be bad, not the bose
Recently purchased the Bose Ultra Earbuds and am highly impressed. I wear them for working out and phone calls, but after using them I will use them for my next plane trip and utilize the extra carry-on space in my bag. 2 dislike I have is no Find My feature or wireless charging. I purchased the Wireless Charging case and attached an AirTag to resolve.
By getting the headphones, you don't have to worry about uneven battery percentages, a very common issue with earbuds (e.g., the earbud batteries being at 80% and 30%), not to mention uneven battery wear.
Great review Aaron. 💯 If possible, could you make a comparison between AirPods Max and QC Ultra? I am interested in the QC Ultras for the Spatial Audio such as I have with the AirPods Max and the ANC that they both have to see which is better for most high and low frequencies noises.
Hi, I’m having an issue with my QuietComfort Ultra headphones. When I walk or run, I hear a ‘pop’ sound in both ear cups, even with ANC on or off. I’ve seen several threads on forums where people mention the same problem. Could it be that my headphones are defective, or is this a common issue with this model?
I had a different experience. I tested both with low to mid frequency bus noises… And cafe noise for mid to high frequencies However, I tested the Bose QC earbuds 2 vs the Bose QC ultra headphones The earbuds are noticeably stronger in noise cancelling.
Great review, Aaron! I really appreciate you comparing the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Earbuds to the Headphones. I have the earbuds and am considering getting the headphones. How does the spacial audio compare between the two while watching a movie? Which one works better for the surround sound during movies.
Could you compare the Bose Ultra headphones to the Bose 700s? I swear the 700 sound better than the 45s but no one seems to be testing the 700s since the 45s came out after them.
Thanks for this 😊. Love your reviews! Technical question, if I may... I am just about to get the Bose QC Ultra headphones and have a Samsung S23 Ultra... Will the Samsungs lack of decent codecs deduct from the listening experience do you think? Nobody seems to discuss that in reviews, so I'm hoping not.
Over-ear headphones simply destroy In-ears low diff for comparison Sony wh-1000xm4 absolutely shit on Sony wf-1000xm4 I am pretty sure the same thing is with the Bose.
0:10 Really needed this comparison, I can afforad both but I need to know what of a difference there is in between them, specially cuz Ill use them for the gym, thx dude. Awezome vídeos.
Overall earbuds migth be better for working out, but I really feel guilty for the sound quality, Id like to train while hearing amazing music definition and not an outside sound on my ear, can someone who has already tried both tell me what suits me best?
Nice video Aaron. BOSE. Is overrated and over priced. Just tell their management that work in your mic quality, take the price down, and work on some latest features
I’ve to add - Bose QC Ultra Earbuds’ ANC is somewhat of a letdown than QC II Earbuds. Aaron, ANC blocks out midrange and even low rumbling much better on QC II Earbuds than Ultra. I’ve a feeling that ANC’s Freq Response on QC Ultra Earbuds is more “flat” so as to accommodate more codecs, especially aptx. It’s such a coincidence that the best ANC performing earbuds often have fewer codecs supported (maybe after the audio is recreated using DAC on these earbuds using other codecs have too much of a information for QC II’s ANC Freq Response to track and block out surrounding noise via active cancellation) Don’t get it why ANC on Ultras were a step down. Crying babies snd even fan’s whirring noise is worse on Ultras than QC IIs
Noooo. I’m watching these using the earbuds. I’m an audio engineer The earbuds sound amazing in person. The demo they used sounds NOTHING like the real thing.
