I got two s1 pros, when paired in stereo mode that's probably one of the best combos out there. If you want "loud" speakers, that's not the brand to get. They are loud enough to make your walls shake, especially if you've positioned them properly. But the quality of the sound and how well they're engineered and set up from the factory is absolutely insane. Again - if you want a loud speaker that distorts when blasted out loud and if your aim is just to annoy your neighbors, go for something else instead.
Just bought this and it's worth every penny, it's a boombox and PA System combo so you're getting a lot for your money. Not to mention everyone knows the Bose Brand is superior when it comes to sound system. This is a great outdoor boombox and it's bluetooth connectivity makes it even better. For $600 dollars it's a great buy considering all of its features, as opposed to the cheap looking JBL Boombox 2 with no PA System capability for $500 dollars. it;s obvious the clear winner is Bose!
When I first saw this Bose S1 Pro, I fell in love with it. Listened to the sound test, and sure it does sound good. I went to the store that carry and sell it and did a live sound test there. Compared it with a few other PA system, monitor system, and loud speaker, even with a cheaper sound system, just got frustrated with it. So, I just scratched it off my lists.
S1 isnt made to do Deep Bass as it said its a P.A system Maybe You should pair it with a subwoofer. Cause if you put The s1 pro on deep bass you can hear Distortion in High volume.
You made a mistake, try to get the bass of the Bose S1 Pro in the "monitor" position will not bring the whole bass, the monitor position (in which you turn the Bose label) cuts the bass because the monitor automatically adjust the amp to filter frequencies under 100Hz.
The Bose is not a boombox. It's studio montor speaker whitch mean it gives you less bass. It only design for vocal use and playing more softer music. However the jbl boombox is designed for haevy bass music like house or reggae dub music.
yes, you can't cranks up s1 pro all the way up. distorts, but sounds good as soon as you remove the distortion. AM still confused by this video which was which
That cool red light on the input means youre clipping the shit out of your shit. The dsp will compensate to a point and compress but doesn't change the fact you will get bad sound and work the dsp hard just because you aren't trimming your input right
People why do you even compare bose and jbl to a different class of audio equipment? bose lux devices with really clear sound and good quality, but I can’t say anything about jbl except volume and bass. for those who like to just listen to music loudly, this is jbl, who likes to get a sound from the sound, this is only bose

I have both speakers, Bose SPro1 and JBL Boombox and love them, the bass on both speakers are awsome, that's because they are made by Bose!!!!. Bose is the best bluetooth portable speakers you can buy. Great quality, but both speakers are heavy also. I Love My Speakers ❤💯🔊🎤🎶🔥💯
I dont know y people always compare bose and jbl ....if you are a music lover then i am dam sure you will pick bose speaker once you hear the sound by your self in both speaker
martin rai not accurate. Bose is good for home entertainment, hook it to the TV. when it comes to portable speakers, hands down the. JBL BoomBox is the second to the best
I ended up discovering that if you turn it upside down, the blue front LED starts blinking, maybe indicating that the position is not correct, or something else. Is there really any internal sensor, which automatically adjusts the EQ? Another question: From what I could see, changing the positions, there was no change, except when I fit the stand into the hole below it, which I noticed that there is a mini switch that activates when the stand is attached. Other than what I mentioned, has anyone noticed any difference in EQ sound changing through positions?
I have both speakers and the Bose s1 pro is much more capable of covering a backyard or small venue than a jbl boom box I take my S1 to Venice beach when I play basketball and the sound covers the whole court in a highly open area like the beach
And the conclusion is .... your microphone can't pick up low frequencies. Thank you for the effort, but really I don't know what to think with respect to those two products. Can the S1 Pro, which is the one I'm after, deliver some good bass?

Haha glad to hear that all too familiar grill rattle even through youtube. These speakers will not do so great with deep electronic tones. You have to either play at a moderate volume or get the F1 sub.
Anyone reading this who doesn't work with pa kit of any discription regardless of brand or design, can not possibly understand that this comparison is rediculas. In the same way...a guy who puts a big chassis CAR speaker driver in his vehicle thinks is good, then someone puts large PA speaker driver in his car. The fella with the car branded sound system will scratch his head and likely say but...I got mine from a proper car audio shop man! ,until they compare sounds?????? Interesting review...ummm
The price point is close , but these 2 items were created for different purposes . The over expensive bose s1 can be portable but you have to buy the battery pack separate which costs 99 more dollars on top of the 499 dollars for the bose . Then , the jbl boombox is a personal speaker created for personal use and you can pair up to 4 of them together . The s1 is a professional tool that was created for musicians , but can also be used at professional business meetings or even at weddings or parties . The jbl eon610 10 or eon612 more directly competes with the Bose s1 and is cheaper but more equipped than the bose ...not to mention , also sounds so much better than this incredibly overpriced little speaker
edwin kennedy I just looked it up , you're right . But it's still wrong to compare a professional P.A. Bluetooth speaker to a personal Bluetooth boombox . The bose is purpose built to sound as accurate as possible . Jbl makes Bluetooth P.A. Bluetooth speakers that blow this thing away in sound plus you don't have to pay extra for the battery pack . I seriously don't understand why people do these types of comparisons .
g4do your right all the way. I had two of the Bose Bluetooth tooth speakers and they both got beat by the same size jbl speakers. And I wasn't trying to be smart but I just got the boombox on Saturday an it's the best I have found so was just seeing what others were saying an thinking. Good points on your side never should've been a test
You know you are ridiculous guys. The cheapest Devialet phantom gold on Amazon is 6 times the price of a bose s1 pro. So for the same price put 6 bose s Ones against one devialet phantom gold and start testing :)
For those who wonders which one is better, i purchase both and try it out, and i prefer jbl for outdoor and indoor for music listening through bluetooth..
