This is the most to-the-point, useful comparison video I've seen. I was ready to buy the Roland but now, well - I mean that lack of bass just won't do! Muchas gracias, senor
@@phillyband1761 the equalization in the three speakers is flat. It was recorded in the open field to see the actual performance. The ones that stood out the most are bose and jbl, between the two speakers, they have advantages and disadvantages with each other. Soon I will upload a video with a group and explaining the advantages over the other.
Thanks for this demo. I was actually intrigue by these 3 portable PA speakers. I bought the Bose S1 but I think the JBL is also a very good contender. The cube I think is more on instrument. Coz I got the old Roland Cube Street and I love it before for my electric guitar and vocals for busking but it's a bit small until they got this Roland Cube Street EX. I think the Bose S1 is like Apple and JBL One is Samsung in terms of phone.
Compared to the other two, the Bose is quite pleasant to the ear. The emphasized, unobtrusive bass is a balm for the ears. In any case, BOSE is one step above JBL and two steps above Roland.
The JBL by a landslide. I say that not because there is a noticeable difference in sound, but because if it's this close, the JBL has it on functionality. Thanks this was very helpful. I was frustrated because the Roland is stereo. And that was one of my main requirements. I play along with stereo backing tracks. The Roland may have good Guitar and vocal effects and lots of inputs and on paper all is wonderful, But I would not really need any effects. I have a TC Helicon PERFORM for vocals and a modeling amp pedal for battery powered Busking. Some people might think what? How do you power the TC Helicon PERFORM on batteries? First its 12 volts dc so you think any 12 volt battery would power it. But TC Helicon were slick in switching the power wires(negative is positive) as to force you to buy their power supplies. Otherwise any 12 volt dc power supply would work. Get any power cable that fits a 12 volt battery and the TC Helicon power hole and get out the soldering iron, cut the cable and switch the wires. Free at last. After hearing it, Stereo isn't worth the sound quality drop. And switching the speakers ain't going to get it the clarity or quality of the JBL.
I have 2 Alto uber fx, theyre good to use around the house or small little jam out.l, but they peak really easily and distort. Id sell those two and go for the Bose
Depends on what you want, Bose is too bassy doesn't have a proper natural sound for live instrument. Roland is for live performances because instruments sound more natural and bose and jbl for parties and professional studio recorded music.
To me the JBL wins hands down. Bose sounds scoped in the midrange. It sound slike they have added digital Eq to the sound that removes parts of the midrange. Sure, it sounds flattering on most audio sources, but it also sounds unrealistic. The cube can't even begin to measure up against the others
Thank you for bringing up sound test I like Bose and JBL, when I listened music from JBL even big speakers it gives puff base as little distortion on some times I felt , but for listening the music with great highs and deep tight Base Bose is leading . JBL is the second choice, highs are low and Mid is bit high which gives more loudness with less deep base. Roland is just out of the topic. It's only good for acoustic guitar for more live to instrumental player there is no pleasant music coming out , I felt
Thanks for posting To me the JBL stood out as being the most accurate sound. The Bose had it's trademark mid scooped sound, which is very pleasing to the ear, but not necessarily a true representation and could present problems when playing backing tracks, as there's no separate EQ on that channel. The Roland sounded harsh and all mid range, which to be fair for an amp designed for guitar and vocals for busking is about where the emphasis should be, but that notwithstanding, it couldn't compete against the other two when playing recorded music or backing tracks.
I owned the 3. Now I only have the Bose. Roland is supposed to be a full range speaker with guitar effects but its lack of low freqs is notable. JBL is similar to Roland, I decided because of size and personal taste for the overall sound…
I prefer the Roland cube steet ex, but I've been struggling with the need for 8 AA batteries when I'm outdoors, and now I've got a working power bank on Amazon. Interesting.
Thanks for the comparison. Many years I have wanted a Cube but always new it wouldn't cut it. Cube sounds under water. JBL sounds 1 ear out of water 1 ear in (mids, with more low than Cube). Boss sounds mids cut. People say that JBL has better low than Bose. But the mid in it sort of made it hard to tell, vs the Bose. Anyways, thanks again
That depends of the equalizator regulations as well so this video is a FAKE ROLAND CUBE is made for playing instruments not for listening music and the difference vs BOSE is that BOSE an higher bass tune
Bose for me, I think. I think it's just a 'taste and fancy' difference between the JBL and Bose. Both sound really good. Not even in the same ball park as the Roland, though that's more aimed at the guitar amp market so probably not a straight shootout. Still useful info, though.
Exactly, the idea was, to test between the three amplifiers with music. soon I will make another video, but with musicians to see the performance of each amplifier
Yes the JBL! I was recently looking around for a small event I was to dj for a friend's 40th. I settled on the JBL. Just this past Saturday it made its maiden voyage and it held up amazingly just with one speaker for a party of 40 in a space for 75 people. Through all kinda of music: House, Soca, RnB, Hip-Hop, Freestyle, Reggaeton/Moombahton, Trap and Slow Jam/Cocktail/Lounge. I had looked at the Bose, but the price and also the fact that the JBL inputs and also has controls for each input channel and ducking. I played for a good 5 hours and the batter level barely moved. Hoping to eventually get another one soon again. Great for small events or outdoor and satellite speakers. And yes a great video comparison and great music!
No highs, no lows, its must be a Bose").
Yeah I agree with a lot of the people.... Bose always sounds great but I can just imagine how bad my acoustic guitar would sound through it and would probably get a lot of feedback from the bottom end. The Roland sounds truer and it would really cut your vocals through a crowd. Loved the JBL too.
