I have both of these and love em both. I use the bose for at home listening, i use the boom2 at work where im on a construction site. I enjoy the sound of the bose as it comes out of the box, but soundcore forces u to use the app and adjust the EQ or it doesnt sound that great. Bose sounds great to me but everyone has different taste in sound so might not be worth the premium price to soundcore fans as they expect alot for 150$, so for 400$ dont bother. Once ur hooked on soundcore speakers u probably most likely wont bother with BOse, JBL, marshall, or other better well known brands.

Boom 2 ate the bose at 100%, after 75% compared to the soundcore the bose sounds like an upper bass and mids only box

My boom 2 my favorite smallish portable speaker. Price/Sound is incredible! I wish soundcore would have used these woofers on the Boom 2 plus

I like how the Soundcore brings out the voice but it might come off as too mono, the Bose speaker sounds more stereo but doesn't have the deep base

Great comparison. They sound way different. I made my listen with AKG reference phones. Soundcore sounds super neutral when you compare Soundlink. In low frequencies I felt like sometimes Bose is slightly more clarified. But this doesnt sound to much for me, in experience I think you can adapt that sound. Bose sounds more shinny and and live at first sight. Its giving an impression that music is more dynamic and enjoyfull. But I think this kind of speakers like Soundlink has disadvantages. Of course its definitely relies to your needs.They sound like always very typical and equalized (?) for most songs. Its giving a stability in the sound in terms of dynamics but its changing the overall sound and timbres too much for me. Sometimes I feel like its giving a false impression of original sound. Those speaker also sounds like too much on high frequencies which is one of the reasons giving that lively, enjoy full sound at first. Look at the hi-hats of drums, how they sounds very close and loud. But when those frequencies are too loud in a consistency they irritating to me. Its hard to listen them in close distance and hard to communicate when partying, listening because of those frequencies are also fundamental for human speaks. I like the speakers sounds more natural and flat designed in overall. they re very versatile for many situations. If you dont like the neural sound signatures you can always equalize it on your phone or computer. Im not sure how much flexibilty is possible with Bose app for to change sound signature. Bose are always good in quality and reliabilty. I like how they sound when Im djing in pubs or clubs because in that spot I like how it sounds in that level speakers. In this comparison I would go for Soundcore. Thank you for the recordings.

I have the Boom 2. I wanted to see a better result, but to my ears the Bose sounded better throughout the volume ranges. You would think so since it cost almost 3 times more. But almost 3 times better in relation to cost? Nah...I don't think so. (EQing on that thing could plobly be better tho) JS..

The Anker boom 2 is all round good speaker though mono but the bose is sounding two cheap

Hope established brands like BOSE will humble themselves. Times are changing, and if they continue to rely on marginal effects and brand premium, it will only weaken their brand value.

i dont think the Bose's price tag is justifiable at all. You could buy 3 Boom 2's and still have money for lunch. With that said, the fact that their sound is even remotely comparable is very bad for the bose. As more refined as the bose might be, it compresses a lot at higher volumes, losing bass to the Boom 2. Last but definitely not least, how tf does Bose release a 400$ speaker that has distortion problems??

Can you share with me your Eq for the boom 2 please?

I had the Boom2 and sent it back because compared to the Soundcore x600 it sounded boxy and there was quite a lot of noise when playing at low volume. Other than that I think its a great little box for on the go and if low volume listening is not your concern - go for it.

you pay alot exstra for build quality and sound quality have the boom 2 and bose max ad xtreme 4. overall the xtreme4 sounds the best for me. the bose max also sonds good but sounds flat at higher volumes the boom 2 sounds good but feels so cheap wheen you take it around. i would buy xtreme4 all day long worth it!!

Boom2 is ugly asf and looks really cheap which accurately reflects the price. Bose actually puts effort into the look and materials used on their products.

Bose Max sounds better, but not 3x the price of the Boom 2. If I was rich, I would get the Bose Max.

The Bose may sound slightly better, but it doesn't sound $250 better. I could buy 2 Soundcores, sych em, and still spend less than the Bose.
