The Bose Soundsport has a thoughtful design and a lot of strong points, but sound quality isn't really one of them. ● Join our Discord and support the channel! / lachlanlikesathing
I have those headphones and I use them for phone calls and anytime I need to be aware of my surroundings. They are great for that. They sound alright on my v20 and good enough on my other phones.
I use Etymotic er4/hf5/mk5 With Shure yellow foam and the clip. This way there is no cable noise, no car noise(I never on the road), sound quality pretty decent , better than most earphones still. And it is really really really stable. The thing is how to stabilize my phone, when I run the phone goes every where.
Because of the foam, there is no thumping noise. The only noise is your feet hitting the ground and conduct through the bones. I'm 100kg, so I think you will be fine in this regard.
Which are the best Wired Sport Earbuds you would recommend preferably for running? So far I am looking at the following: - Audio Technica ATH-CKx5iS SonicFuel - Sennheiser OCX 686 SPORTS - Sony AS410P Sports - Yamaha EPH-RS01 - Klipsch AW-4i Sport - JBL Reflect Mini Thanks for your help
Hey Lachlan! I recently started on watching your videos, and I like a lot that you have subtitles because I´m from Spain and its hard for me to understand you, I really appreciate the content of the videos. I´ve got a question for you, which closed-back headphones do you recommend me for music production and mixing? Thank you and have a nice day!
*I've spent thousands on hi-fi, but always come back to my Bose QC headphones. Much love from all your loyal fans in beautiful Bangor, Maine where recreational marijuana is legal for all to enjoy, auto insurance is the lowest in the entire nation and home prices are still some of the lowest in the entire nation. Happy listening from BANGOR, MAINE.*
as a exercise earphones, i'm surprised you would haven't considered a pair of the jaybirds x3s? or any of the previous ones or even the soundsport wireless from bose As hyped up as jaybirds is as a brand. I actually bought the freedoms and love the "freedom" of the being "wireless", technically there is a wire but "not fixed to my device". Getting slapped in the face by the cable is definitely not fun (some say run the cable underneath). but that still means that the phone will have a easy chance of falling out of your pocket. unless you use an arm band. (which you still have a bunch of excess or even sometimes shortage of cable depending on how its positioned. the new jaybirds can also play with the eq in the app to make them less bassy or more and what not, interesting to play around with. (an "hardwires" the firmwire into the earphones (until its reset again) They don't sound great in their stock sound, (the freedoms) even eqed their just okay at best. however, like yourself when i'm exercising i'm not as focused at the sound. the other aspects i think just outweigh the mediocre sound. Which is decent in the bass, a bit excessive in the lower midrange area. but midrange is not overly forward, or recessed (again decently), treble is rolled off (sounding quite small and closed), and lacking air and detail. hard sell it seems...... at $129-149 usd i think it would be worthwhile to give em a shot (the x3s)! the freedoms i have are still $169-200 which doesn't really make sense (despite being an older model). which many have just brushed over bluetooth i think just need to increase its range (as i left my phone in my bag few when i was running some basketball drills in the half court and the music would cut in and out intermittently when i go out of the range). ( i think its like 30 feet). but it was pretty lightweight to being bogged down even with my phone
Dude love your content and really need for your advise, My soundsports iem is broken and I'm not in us so I have limited options, should I get shure se215 or again soundsports? Will be using them everywhere including gym. I loved the comfort and the bass of soundsports but never tried shures , more confortable and sounds better?
These are great earbuds, but the only thing that is bad about it is that it doesn't go in enough. The earbuds for the Bose soundsport wireless and the soundtrue are perfect, they are thicker, which gives more isloation, but you can clearly hear your surrounding, but not as well as these. good earbuds, just not enough isolation, then you can't get a taste of that bass. Also, don't worry about the bass, these thing can get LOUD, and helps. So in the end, people say its bad, but its never as bad as it seems, be practical folks.
I hear you can fit the StayHear+ silicone on these and they should give you more isolation. I have not tried it because I don't mind listening to conversations while pretending to be a bose audiophile... no jokes on the side I prefer this for running.
lachlanlikesathing i just searched Bluetooth in ear (amazon.de) and they were the best in Hifi Audio (which is quite ridiculous). I'm only listening on these in the gym and while running, where I'm not focusing in music. They sound very muddy have much bass and have no soundstage but for a 25€ in ear wireless they are just ok.
I'd rather take the ksc75 or another cheap clip on. That wing design on the eartip just doesnt work with my ears so the earpiece keeps falling out. Also the price on the bose earphone seems a bit steep. You can get Bluetooth earphones in that category.
+GrumpyKitten I used to use Koss clip ons for running, but I'd feel like they flopped around on the ear a bit for me. Was a bit odd, like I had dumbo wings. I had better luck with the Porta Pros but cable noise is actually pretty severe.
I usually go for a run to the local public indoor pool. While doing so I wear my swimsuit underneath my regular clothes to reduce the time that I have to spend in the changing room...
$99? Are you talking in terms of USD? Can't seem to find these under $100 AUD. Oh wait nvm, you said "Amazon" at the end lol. Just did a quick search and it seems you can get the silicon ear attachments for Apple Earpods, might as well save my money and buy some of those!
R.P Bose is not the best but atleast it sound decent and better than the apple AirPods. I'm talking about bluetooth in ear headphone for exercise and wired is not good even for jogging and the wire just gets in the way. I'm a fitness trainer so I know what earphones sucks or not for exercise.
