I've owned the soundsport free for 3 years, they're still great. However, just bought the QC buds and I found that bass on them is not as good as the soundsport free.
thanks for saving me $300, I have had my soundsport free earbuds for YEARS and they look new, last several days battery and are just great. the only reason i am considering upgrading is because they are big and bulky
Thank you for this review brother! I was debating on upgrading for the longest but after all this talk from multiple reviewers about it lack in controls I also don't believe it's worth it. Unfortunately, my old pair's case (not sure about the earphone) is experiencing battery life decay since I've had them for a couple years but like yourself, I love em! Thanks again for saving me the 300, time to save for the ps5.
Same rubber piece place on my soundsport frees! 3rd pair now. But I've tried literally every single pair of earbuds on the market and the sound sport free are absolutely king!!!! Best bass, sound quality, and they stay in your ear on long sweat runs even sprinting!!!! :)))))
I’ve had the Bose SoundSport Free‘s for a few years now I remember buying them straight from Bose at my local mall. They were costly at the time but I made a good decision cause their still doing great. Bose quality
Is it working even one piece on my ear? One is on my pocket not in the case. Because i hide it on my boss. Beacause im a family driver.. I wear only in my left ear.is it working?
Thanks for the video. I've had both earbuds. They're both great but I respectfully disagree. I've never had the the disconnection issue. The Sports were 200.00 plus tax when they 1st came out. The Quiet comfort are 270.00 but the Anc is worth it for me because I work in a noisy environment...but different strokes for different folks. If you're mowing, snow blowing hedge clipping etc etc it becomes a valuable option. Thanks again
I agree with your comment 100%. I don't think people should be walking around with the ANC at 100%. You need to be able to hear your surroundings. I also believe that's why Bose made open ear earbuds, they recognized late... The dangers of being in public and can not hear what's around you. Thanks for your input!
main issue with bose are they are always turned on so any time it can be connected(inside the box). Which drains battery heavy during standby time. I also have other Bluetooth devices from Bose like Revolve Plus, which also does the same. without turning it on or pressing any buttons if I turn on the connect mode in my mobile phone it will be connected within a second. So they are always listens and waiting for connection signal
That's new news to me, thanks for that info. It makes sense too. I've had instances were I've taken my earbud out the the charging case & it's been in there for hours & it says "battery at 70%". I'm like how?.... You've been in the case for hours! I guess that's why. Thanks!!
I have been wearing soundsports free since they come out, I keep buying them as the sound of this earbuds are second to no others earbuds, however after 2/3 years the rubber starts to wear off and battery is also deteriorating, I know they stick out, I know they are big but for the gym are simply the best earbuds to my opinion. I recently purchased a new Bose Sport new model but I have given them away, next going to buy Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds II
Why did u given it back what was issue should I buy sports ? Just need them for 1 hr max daily use or sometime at crowded places will I enjoy them? I have soundsports free they are amazing but want new ones! Should I buy sports new version??????

@@ite_inc wait I didn't subscribe already?! My bad. Done! I love your approach and review perspective. At the end of the day, everyone has their opinion but I always enjoy creators who lay things out in a way that helps form an opinion rather than force one on the viewers.
@@tosinis Thanks again & a huge thanks for the sub. Im a huge RU-vid watcher, I took things I didn't like that I saw Creators doing and make my vids without those methods. Haha, I agree! I bought my soundsport free's (ole faithful) in 2017 and they're still going strong. Thought about the upgrade but can't see it being a big upgrade unless I really want noise cancellation because of how good the quality already is. Good stuff
Same here since 2017 kings of top tier music bass and resolution!!! SOINDSPORT FREE FOR LIFEEEEE!!!. IM SURPRISED THAT NOBODY HAS BEAT THEM OUT UET IN TERMS OFNPIRE CRISP SOUND QUALITY WORTH EVERY BIT OF THE 200$!!@
I’ve had my sound sport free for 2 years, never had the rubber issue you have and I wear them quiet a lot. First time I seen that. I’m planning to buy the new bose. Good review. Thanks
@@ThailandEmory yes they are like brand new haha. I will buy the Bose quiet comfort noise cancelling ones and use the Bose sound sport free as a spare!
@@ximenaleon4785 mine were the same way, it just happened out of nowhere. I was able to save the last set before it got too bad, it's not the most beautiful fix but it will hold for a long time. I used a small piece of vinyl, the kind you use to cover interior trim in a car. Heated it and stretched it over the rubber where it contacts the plastic so it would stick. Again, not beautiful but it worked.
Bro I just didn’t start utube channel yet but I know a lot about it .. you’ve got everything a RU-vid wants only thing you’re missing is consistency and it’s all algorithm .. please post consistently and close the gaps you speak in edit.. That’s all you have to do to grow great.. and I want to see you grow ❤️
I appreciate that. Honestly the way RU-vid functions made me lose interest in it. I can deal with your type of criticism, and I welcome it! You may have just sparked my return!! 💯
Thanks a million! Ive been watching Floss also, I appreciate your time, views & comments! I have big plans for my channel I hope you stay a part of it.
I just fell in love with this guy compared to most fake Axxhole utubers just promoting sponsored videos and more of actors than a reviewer .. but this guy have got a crazy character .. love from India
Hey Bro! Nice video! I'll suscribe to your channel. Can i ask u something? Which one has the higher volume? I mean which one Is the loudest? 'cause i have the Soundsport Free ones and the volume Is really great but Is the QC loudest than the SSF? Is It worth to upgrade because the volume?
I appreciate all subscribes! To answer your question the QC's are the loudest, for sure, but IMO not worth the price just for that small amount of increased volume. Now, if you want noise cancelling than they are worth every dime. Honestly I'm gonna buy them again but only when I find them on sale @ at a good price.
The quiet comfort have more bass, which I believe is due to the size, they are bigger, thus more space inside. Having more bass, gives more depth on action movies especially. But! At a cost. An additional $150 to be exact. Imo, the sound is not that far apart for the premium price Bose is requesting for the quiet comfort.
I know each one of us may have all different opinions, but if someone is doubting of buying the QC, I'd say to go ahead and pick ones up. They're the best earbuds I've tried so far, miles ahead of the Galaxy Buds Pro and Airpods Pro. The only drawback I have found is that you can only pick either go forward or return a song, but no both at different touch commands. That kinda sucks. But I've never suffered any disconnection nor trouble pairing them. They fit amazing, stay there whether you are on the computer or working out. It may be due a sofrware update, idk, but there are no longer any of the mentioned problems out here. I hope I've been helpful for anyone here, cheers!
@@ite_inc S20, but i own an iPad, which was paired to the Airpods Pro. I can tell you that the Bose earbuds work exactly the same on both OS, even on PC.
@@ite_inc you won't regret, mate. I really belive your issues were due the early version of their software, you reviewed them when they just got out. I hope you enjoy them as much as all of us commenting so. They're are quite pricy, hopefully you can take all the dust from them and have a better experience! I may sound like a real fanboy hahaha, but I just love them.
The new sports have some kinks that need to be worked out IMO, maybe after a few updates they will be close to as good as the soundsports. You may want to check out my new vid where I review the Sennheiser TW2, they are a very good option to replace the sound sports. Thanks for your view, & comment!
Really great video, thank you! I’ve just had a set of Bose QC delivered and hate them as the occlusion is incredibly awful. My wife has the sound sport free and I love them and thought the QC was an upgrade definitely not. Mine are going back to Amazon too!
That's a tough question because it's based on personal preference, but IMO, keyword: my opinion... Overall bass: The QC's, BUT they barely beat the soundsports, so for the price difference you only get a little bit more bass than the soundsports. But to answer your question the QC's have better bass. You may want to check out my new vid about the Sennheiser TW2 's they are also a good option, they have good sound & good bass & can be equalized to your liking. Hope this helps! Thanks for your time and comment!
Hi, and thanks for the comparison. It seems you have gotten a defective pair, according to the user manual when you remove one earbud the music stops and then starts again once you put it back in. You can even turn this off in the app. Also, it says it turns off noice cancellation when you remove one bud. And you can set in the app if it plays your voice back to you. Other reviews I've seen has mentioned these features working... Cheers
I'm not sure what issue you are referring to but I'll explain what I think you are talking about. Example: you have the right earbud on, you take it off but don't sit it in the case. You just leave it out your ear, In my case it was out of my ear say 20 minutes, put it back in my ear, it won't turn on, even with an incoming call coming in. You have to put it in the case wait for it to blink, take it out the case then it will power on. There's NO way to turn it on... IF it's in that state. Also, I said in the video, even if you turn off noise cancelation with one earbud on, you still get a electronic reproduced sound of the outside sounds. It's not as pronounced as it is when noise cancelling is on but it's still there. I also said I wanted to love these earbuds because I'm a hardcore Bose fan I've had every earbud they ever made.
@@ite_inc Cut & pasted from the user manual: "AUTO PLAY/PAUSE When you remove an earbud, audio pauses on both earbuds. To resume audio, reinsert the earbud." and "STANDBY Standby conserves the earbud battery when the earbuds are out of the case and not in use. The earbuds switch to Standby when you remove both earbuds from your ears for 20 minutes. To wake the earbuds, insert both earbuds in your ears." The way you explain it, sounds like yours are defective, since they don't wake up by inserting them in your ear. Maybe contact Bose to clarify? 🙂 Or check in the Bose app if In-ear Detection is turned off?
@@Audunsfitness Ahhhh that makes some sense. Like I said in the video, I usually only have on just the right earbud. Which is why I said these are probably better if someone is looking for more of a "headphone" style set. (both ears @ same time). In that scenario I would only have the right earbud on or with me & it wouldn't turn on, so you have to have both with you and place both in your ears. That's now something else I don't like about them. Thanks for letting me know about this! 👍🏽
Ok, I see! So if you have only one with you and the other one is at home in the case, it won't turn on if you take it out and put it back in? Have you checked the In-ear Activation setting in the Bose app? If that is how it works, you should contact Bose, maybe they can fix it in a firmware update, because that sounds like a bug (since the possibility of using only one IS there, I mean). Now, on a side note, someone who use one earbud most of the time will probably not wanna pay the premium price for noise cancellation anyway... but chances are the Sport Earbuds work in the same way. Did you test those?
@@Audunsfitness I returned the QC's bought the Sony 1000XM3, meh so far. I'm gonna get the Bose Sport and try those this weekend. So my next video will be the Soundsport Free vs Bose Sport VS Sony 1000xm3!!!!
Read the comments, it's happening to other people too... After they watched the vids. Maybe your next...? JK. Seriously other people are having that issue too.
@@ite_inc I hope mines still in good shape for some more time, if they get damaged I will consider buy em again, I bought the new sport buds for my gf has Christmas gift and I tested them for some hours, I think the old sound sport free are just above in sound quality and flexibility, maybe because I’m a bass head jajaja
@@ParkcX I agree! I think because they are slightly bigger, they have more bass. I've been using the Sennheiser MW2 they are pretty good. They will be my next vid.
@@tobiaschillitrollkarl sorry to hear that, my set is starting not to hold a full charge now. I guess I've wore them out. The Sennheiser TW2 is what I'm using currently, have been great so far. Gonna give the quiet comforts one more shot! *fingers crossed*
Quiet comfort sound better, prob due to the size, more room for a bigger driver. But, my favorite current Bluetooth.... Sennheiser TW2. Battery life is meh... No dual mic, everything else 👍🏾.
chill bro , sound quality of apply is not good as this , they dont have control , volume etc. on buds , connectivity is good , mic quality if sound ports is better than apple
soundsport free is much more comfortable than the bose qc earbds. Soundsport free has thinner and softer siliocn ear tips. I can wear the soundsport free all day and I can only keep 30minutes on my ear with the Bose QC earbud ..
I have it as well after 3 years. The rubber dried out and lost its flexibility and start to break. I treated all my earbuds with the most care. A similar quality issue with rubber happened to me on the wireless-wired previous version of the soundsports. It never happened anything to my Sonys, Jaybirds X and Sennheiser Momentum 2. You have no idea about how the reviewer handled his product, so don't be arrogant and judge based on your ignorance.
The only thing good about these headphones are the noise cancellation and the sound quality the quality buildings feel like $40 earbuds the case is so big you got to press it really hard to open it I don't know man for $200 and like 50 to $280 it's not worth it and get sports are complete ass lol
Hey, I'm sorry you feel that way. Bose is just a brand, people have likes & dislikes. If you dislike bose so much why look @ a review of two bose products? Granted, I appreciate your view & comment but the waste of time was of your own doing.
