@@deltamobile5325 my Bose soundtouch30 won’t turn on ,there is no power going to the system, no lights on the front that light up ,no anything display on the screen, none of the buttons respond
I have one that I connected and it makes an electrical short. It does not turn on and it has one of the small coils burned which has an open when checking continuity. I did a jumper but it still does not turn on, is 110v
While trying to move the speaker the aux cable was plugged in so the aux cable came out broken, i can still plug in an aux but the sound is not the same. I tried taking the remains out with a pen and a glue now no cable go in. Should i repace the aux input? Can you tell which one i should buy and how to.
Hi, can you confirm if my Bose SoundTouch 30 still can be fixed? Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce: My SoundTouch 30 Series II suddenly lost power. It cannot be turned on; there is no display in the screen at all. I am using it mostly as a speaker for my LCD TV almost everyday for 4 years via AUX cable. Troubleshooting done: - Confirmed that it remained plugged in a voltage regulator with surge protector together with my TV. Nothing happened to my other appliances. - Plugged off from power overnight and plugged back again - nothing happens. - Tried to reset using the procedures stated by Bose - nothing happens - Tried to update firmware via USB - nothing happens - Tried to play using AUX - nothing happens - Tried to update my Soundtouch App to the latest version and search/reconnect speaker over WIFI and Ethernet - cannot be detected. In summary, it appears there is really no power. Observations: - although it appears to have no power and the LCD screen is totally blank, my iPhone can detect it's AirPlay name as "SoundTouch 30" and can be selected as AirPlay output but no sound coming out. - tried to connect it to a LAN cable and I noticed the SoundTouch 30's LAN port having blinking lights and it can still be detected by my iPhone via AirPlay output. - if I unplug the SoundTouch 30, it is no longer detected by my iPhone as an AirPlay device. In summary, it seems there is indeed power in the speaker because the WIFI modules and Ethernet cards are being powered on but the rest (LCD, speaker, other system components) are not working/or not getting enough power.

@@deltamobile5325 Hi, thank you for your insights. So,I tried that hard factory reset a few times but when I go to play music, the soundtouch makes garble noise for about three seconds and then I see the 0000 again. Any other ideas by any chance?
@@deltamobile5325 Thank you for your reply Delta. As an update, I had just upgraded the Firmware a few weeks ago. I ended up sending the Soundtouch 30 to Bose for repairs. They mentioned they have a refabrication process, and I hope this helps. The devices will have a 1 year warranty. The cost $110 I believe, inclusive of tax. They paid the shipping.
