I have the small speakers and at first they aren’t loud but they aren’t not made for continuous sound, they are for sound affects and they work great after the update bose did on the sound bar! They will make you look around the room to try to figure out where the sound come from! I really glad I got them
Flossy Carter the two speakers that go in the back? Yes I read that they have an adjustable volume so it makes it sound like there's sound coming from the walls..
I have a 110" screen with 7.1 surround sound dedicated home theater. Bought the Bose sound bar 300 and Bass module for the 4k Sony tv in the bedroom. Initially they sounded kinda flat but, once I put the headset and calibrated the sound bar, wow, the bar and the bass module came alive. Watched Jurassic World and was floored by how good this sounded. I agree with Flossy, if you can afford it, it is a must buy. Ian B
@@RENEIND I bought the soundtouch 300 for 299 with a 3 year warranty and I bought the sub for 399 !! For the sub they gave me an additional 20 percent off because I bought the sound bar saved me 100 bucks !
This is a great sound bar. I just bought mine yesterday. One thing tho- to get the absolute BEST sound, you HAVE to calibrate this for your space. It’s a NIGHT AND DAY difference out of the box vs calibrated. Has some other settings for a customized sound. Worth every penny!
Was at Bose store yesterday and it took the first minute of the demo on this set ($1400) and I was sold. I've own Bose lifestyles series before & I dumped them all years ago because of all the wires n sound glitches. This one? 👆right here is LIT like carter said it looks good as it sounds 👌 the Bose app works seamlessly did I mention how good the sound yet? 💎💰💎💰💎 btw u can combine multiple acoustic bass modules for bigger rooms. 🔊🔊🔊
Julio plains, you don’t have any idea what is a really good sound system, Bose is made as cheap as possible , you are just paying for just the brand no quality at all, they are been taking advantage of people ignorance when it comes to audio systems
@@2081calin fuck you and your ignorant comment. Technology has improved that was 3 years ago idiot. Every company makes things cheap as possible to make profit fool
The surround sound speakers are so worth it! Bose gave them an update that allows volume control for them so they can actually be heard very well (great quality too) and idk about you flossy but I don't like putting batteries into my speakers every other week, so I'll stick to the wire that you can easily hide under the couch.
I totally agree with Flossy, that you don't even need the 2 additional smaller wireless speakers. I ordered this set-up on Amazon and took a 1800 dollar hit. I like it, but barely hear those 2 wireless ones.
Almost bought this exact set up today but still kind of hesitant cuz of the price but after watching your video with my wife we're definitely going back to the store tomorrow and get them. We also recently purchased a 65inch Samsung Curved TV, everything you mentioned on your video lol, it sort of gave me goosebumps. Great job on the review!
+TheKeyshon lol it sold me after using it in the store, and I was a big store; so I was like in my house this is gonna sound insane... it lives up to the hype for sure
That is one savage set up Floss. I would love to grab this sound bar but unfortunetly I have a newborn Son and neighbours LOL, they would think the building is falling down if I use this, so for me it is the dolby 7.1 surround sound headphone. Love what you do Brother, keep doing you.
*You know why I like this guy's reviews over any other RU-vidr* he gets straight to the point and keeps it 💯. I'd rather watch 15min video from this guy than a pointless 5min vid from lame RU-vidrs that leave out specs features 😣
I didn't think much about Bose back in the day but Bose has some of the best sound systems out there. I came close to getting one from Costco but I wanted to wait on the price drop. Of course when it dropped, I wasn't ready. But with head phones on, I could really get a sense of what you were listening to Flossy. I generally always rock some head phones whenever you do these sound tests. Thanks for the demo. Don't be waking up the neighbors now.
I bought the Soundtouch 300 last month, and it has been nothing short of amazing. Playing Killer Instinct with the Soundtouch turned up is a big-time go, and the mic just can't do it justice.
I understand your point on the pricepoint but at $1400 you can really get a REAL surround sound system with a receiver. If you spend $7k on a 4K 80" OLED TV then this is not the way to go. You're severely limiting your self to 3-6 tiny speakers when you can get some full range tower speakers and a receiver with multiple inputs and way more capabilities for the same price.
I tried both of them at BestBuy and man, my goodness the acoustimass are mad dope it literally feels like you're in IMAX theater, are they worth 699 I'll say yes
I've wanted to purchase this sound bar since it came out, but I've read that it has a major flaw that Bose has been trying to fix since it came out. Customers can not connect to some 4k TVs through the HDMI ARC, so you are left using an optical cable. This is especially true for Samsung 4k TVs. Were you able to connect it through your HDMI? What type of TV do you have?
BRO DO A REVIEW ON THE BOSE BASS MODULE 700 AND BOSE SOUND BAR 900!! This system is the absolute best system I have EVER heard. The music. Movies. Shakes my entire fuckin house😂💀 I want this in my car lol. The bass is soo deep and clean. And you can hear the rest of the music just as well
New Subscriber! Awesome video. We just bought a new LG OLED 55 inch TV plus the Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar and the Bose Acoustimass 300. So this was super helpful. And they gave us a SoundTouch 10 wireless music system too, for free! i guess for buying the Bose stuff all at the same time, same place. Just when I was wondering if I should get the two side speakers (we had pre-wired for those when we re-did the house 10 years ago and put in a fireplace with a new TV over it, which just died, lol, a Panasonic Plasma), I watched this video. So you saved us $300 - thanks!!!
Hi Flossy Carter.. Thanks for the review.. I just want to ask one question. How is the surround experience with Soundbar, bass module.. with out rear speakers ..?
These are in sale. Any way you could do another sounds test with your new, fancy mics and play your test music? Please? Either way, I appreciate you Flossy.
I connected my phone to this in the store and damn that subwoofer can deliver some thunderous bass and low notes such a clear sound n all got to get me self one of those!
Men nice video, I recently purchased the system and is a great sound bar. I’m playing with the system trying to figure out the features specially the WiFi connectivity. But your video is really nice, thanks for sharing. Thanks from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
got the whole system. sub shakes my whole living room floor. rear speaker can be turned on with the soundtouch app. system is real nice with everything going. deep hard bass from sup.
just picked up the soundtouch 300 without the subwoofer I really would like to pick it up but just don't want to finance it. I haven't hooked up via Arc right now but I am experiencing some issues. if I hook up optical cable what settings should I use bitstream or PCM. as of right now I have to play with my settings to get Dolby Digital every time I change the input
The little wireless speakers work fine. They play when your listening to 5.1 sound. Bose keeps the sound level of the rear speakers at a level where it doesn't overwhelm the others. Otherwise, your review is good!
+Bill Wardino I disagree, I actually just added the speakers and they absolutely suck. You can barely hear them, and that's after running adaptIQ Definitely not worth $300. I understand it's not supposed to overwhelm the speakers, but the sound is way too low. Check out the Bose forums, the majority of people there have the same complaint.
Floss i know what you say about Bose i got a lot of Bose products because of your reviews but if you where doing this review more early like 1 month more early i definetly was buying this but i just got the Sonos Sound bar and the subwofer from them...spent also a crazy price on them...it realy does the difference between regular bose speakers and soundbars is waaaay better sound experience not to mention less space and cables everywhere and the sound fils the room perfectly.Looks pretty nice i wish mine where so glossy :((( Enjoy it man and thank you for the reviews ;) Keep it moving !!!! :)
Hi sir, thank you for you vid! Just a simple question: I have the bose soundtouch 130 (previous version of 300), is it realy different than the 300 (with the base device of course). Thank you ! Good continuation
I have the soundbar 700 with Alexa and I actually can adjust the level of the surround speakers with the Bose music app, not the sound link app. I can adjust the level of the soundbar, bass module and surround speakers. I have noticed that even on 10% volume for the bass module, it’s way too loud even if the music or tv isn’t all the way up. I think the bose music app is compatible with the 300, 500 and 700 series of soundbars.
You can change the volume of the surround speakers. Changes made in Sountouch App on your phone. Mine work great and add to ambiance, especially if you don't have a 4 walled room. If you have a small 4 walled room, the soundbar alone is capable of imitating great surround sound.
March 27 17, got my Bose 300 Acoustimass with sub. I love it. Originally purchased the Sonos with Sub, but the sound sucked! Think loud speaker. My movie room it's 19 x 25 and the Bose does the job, better surround sound from the moment it's on.
I love your reviews and i think im gonna go with this model, but do you ever wonder if the surrounds may improve an already awesome sound, though they are 300 bucks?
Yo Flossy, thinking to get this soundtouch 300 soundbar and sub. I agree with you with skipping the not so wireless, wireless rear speakers. i got the old Bose acoustimass cubes. is there any way to hook up or hack something to connect my old cubes to the soundbar to use as rear surround? i still got them wired clean in the ceiling. Thanks Brahh. Tdoro
Heyy.. i just bought both of these just today.. very impressed with the sound bar.. but the bass module is not much impressive... I actually can't feel much bass out of it. its just very less. I also tried increasing bass but then also not much so can it be fixed by some settings or its like this only... Plz help me with this one..
Hi Flossy thanks for your videos. could you please tell if Wifi connection is needed in order to pair the acoustimass to the sounDbar 300. Thank you very much.
Hi, I'm a newbie at this. Can I use a different bass module and speakers from another brand to pair with this Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar? Oh and also, how's this compare to Harman Kardon SABRE SB 35? Thanks
Good video. How does this stack up against the Sonos Playbar and sub woofer? They are exactly the same price plus the Sonos plays all the music in the world and is expandable to become a whole house system with the ability to play different sources at the same time with different volume levels and you can just move the speakers around anywhere you want them by just plugging them into an AC outlet. I've heard the Sonos and I think it rocks. Plus the bass is awesome which something you say the Bose lacks. Is the remote control a "device" based remote or does it control "activities" like a Logitech? Any thoughts?
If/when you get the airpods can you please try them with an android phone (Galaxy s7 ). I want to know because I have both android and iOS I have an iPad and I want to know if I sound get the airpods or The Samsung wireless earphones . Thanks
I had the Vizio 5.1 surround sound hooked up, the 40" inch 1. Went to get this soundbar 300 with plans of getting the subwoofer later. Hooked it and expected alot more, I started researching functualities for it to try to tweak settings like bass and treble an what no cause the booklet guide doesn't give u that info. Only thing it can change is the bass and it wasn't much of a difference. Now, I know obviously with the subwoofer it'll make a difference but the question is how much of a difference? The soundtouch 300 isn't bad, just didn't sound as good as I thought it was going to sound. Debating if I should return it and go back to the Vizio 5.1 or give it a chance and wait to get the sub for it.
