I have just bought one of these Bose wave from QVC they where on special offer, when I opened the box I it was very small, to be honest I was expecting a much larger unit, on plugging it in and switching it on I was blown away with its fantastic room filling sound, I'm very fussy when it comes to music, listening to Brahms Symphony No. 1 on classic FM, I could hear every instrument I am so pleased I bought this thank you Bose and QVC
Then it's obvious you don't know what true sound sounds like. This company is overpriced. Pure junk Absolute junk. You're lucky if you get 5 years out of it. For $500. You can get a much better system with much better sound. You wasted your money? You can get one at a garage Sale now for $20. Literally nothing but junk.
Because you commented today, I remembered this comment I made. I actually have a IV and I was wrong. It does sound pretty alright. I thought at first the "speaker magnet" on the IV speakers wasn't as huge as the ones inside the II and III, but I think it's the same size.
Joshua......I bought one of these radios. Not bad for just me. But do you know if you can use a SiriusXM home kit (xez1h1) with this Bose radios? Thanks!
Deb Medlin If you are talking to me, you cannot (as far as I know) connect anything besides Bluetooth or an iPod. But if you have a SiriusXM tuner with a headphone jack just use a male minijack to minijack cable and connect the audio (headphone) out to the AUX in. Also try a real stereo (or even a Panasonic mini system) and you will be amazed by the sound difference. I am going to upload a video soon about how bad Bose actually sounds, by recording it and another stereo and playing them back without telling my viewers which is which.
Asking over $500 for these? What Frito-Banditos. These units were discontinued over 10 years ago. The CD player never worked right. The girl has quite the irritating voice. All that money and no tone control.
You people do not know what good sound is. That thing with its 2" drivers can barley fill a room and the music is very crappy sounding. I love how you say they aren't very good speakers at 22:47 and then say nothing like a Bose. Those are Bose speakers (well they are made by Panasonic)!!
As a guy who owns a Bose Wave Radio, I can tell you that they can fill a room; it just doesn't fill it with great sound nor can it compare to my Klipsch 7.2 home theater system. The Bose at least has its purpose in the house which is in case the Klipsch system is too much for my girlfriend.
