Not really. In every Yugoslav census you called yourselves 'Muslims by Nationality.' Before that everyone called you Turks or Ottomans. Today you decided to skip over hundreds of years of not calling your selves Bosniaks and linking yourselves to Christian Bosnian Serbs who fought to stop Islam.

The war wasn’t about religion though, the Serbs went to war with every single former yoguslav state that wanted independence, the Croatians , Albanians, Kosovo’s etc all had wars with Serbia due to wanting independence, it wouldn’t have mattered if they were bhudist, Serbs wanted control of all former youglslav states

One of the main reasons for the war between Croatians and Serbs after the fall of Yugoslavia, in my opinion, was the war crimes done by the Independent State of Croatia against the Serbs back during the WW2... Long a do I witnessed event like this. It was after piece agreement has been signed with agreement of free movement. IFOR (Implementation Forces - international) escorted organized convoys of internally displaced people back to they houses. Houses are on the other side of now ethnically divided territory and occupied by internally displaced people of opposing ethnicity. These, along with other locals involved in five year long ethnically based conflict were not happy to see them back.
