The Death Egg robot gave me some trouble at the beginning but after learning it's patern, it's a piece of cake.I think I destroyed it 3 times in a row when I was bored. But with Knuckles... WITH KNUCKLES.... I NEVER MANAGED TO KILL IT

Quercus Alba... Almost every moment you think you've got him, the bastard seems to have a way out, but that is the best part of his character, because when you do beat him, you could not feel any happier, you could go to Disney Land for a year and it wouldn't even come close.

Captain K Rool was quite fun to fight! Thus I didn't mind the fact that I died like 70 times.....

Shame they made the Death Egg Robot piss easy in Sonic 4 and Generations. You can argue that It's easy in Generations because it's the first boss there, but Sonic 4 has no excuse.

It took me about 10-20 lives to kill K.Rool the first time, and about 5 for the second time. Honestly, the original DKC series (I've played 1 and 2 so far) is all a fight for survival. In 1, you're trying to reach the save point, often late in the world. If you mess up, it's all the way back for you. In 2, the save point is often after the first/second level in a world, and at the latest the third level. However, EACH LEVEL feels like a survival struggle, especially through the later half of the game. I honestly felt that some of the earlier hard levels take the cake in that game, as I barely had any issue with the entirety of the Lost World (This is keeping in mind that I *did* use the 75 Kremcoins cheat at the end of world 7. This is because I was playing 2-player contest and it would have been tedious to race back through to get them all. It was still harder to speed through the world 4-7 levels than it was to speed through Lost World.) Animal Antics was the worst of those levels and still took much less game overs than even some of the world 4 bramble levels. Every time I beat a level I would collapse in relief at not having to slog through it 7 more times to reach the end, and that struggle is what made the whole game fun for me....Also, have you played The Legendary Starfy? There's a boss from that game that would fit this category - though it's more of a superboss. Though the boss isn't nearly hard enough to tick reasons 2 and 3 for boss devilishness, it definitely ticks reason 1.The boss is World 10-7's Old Man Lobber fight. He's certainly not the character that would be expected as a boss fight, but he packs a wallop. His attacks and contact damage deals 2 hearts each, which is a lot considering the 1-heart limit on nearly every type of damage. For a baseline, consider that you must have 10 hearts for the boss to be accessible, due to needing to find all the chests.The only non-Lobber attacks that deal more than 1 heart are instakills (which don't include crushing/pits in this game, as they deal 1 heart and return you to the room's entrance). There are only 4 in the whole game. One is for failing to protect the train in 8-3, and therefore not a true instakill. Two are in the regular 8-4 final boss fight against Mashtooth. The first one is easily avoided and can be mashed out of. The second is an unavoidable section, similar to the Blaze/Sonic fight in Sonic Rush. It is, however, still very easy to mash out of.However, Lobber has the only true instakill. It is quite hard to avoid and has resulted in a majority of my deaths against the boss. He charges forward at high speed twice. If he catches you, you are dead. However, you can whale on him once the attack is over. He's quite a hard boss for someone who already finds the normal game challenging, but for most people who have played games of DKC2 difficulty, he is very easy once you figure out his pattern (besides the CLAKKITY instakill). His notability is in how much more difficult he is from the rest of the game, including the timed world 10 challenges. There is no true "time limit" on him like the ones on the rest of World 10 which are required for his boss door to open. ...Why do all my comments ramble on like this?

Death Egg Robot: Kind of shocked that you forgot the fact that he takes 12 hits when all of the other bosses take 8. So imagine when you hit him for the 8th time... AND HE'S NOT DOWN YET! Wario Dancing: nooo... the horror... the horror of the Smooth Moves version... That Mech: Reminds me of something out of Super Meat Boy Alba: That defeated scene XD Wily Mech 7: FUUUUU CV-DX Dracula: Who designed that arena. Seems like the right side is the best place to be, though. CV3 Dracula: Form 1 is annoying but not too hard, Form 2 is a pain when you have to travel beneath it. Form 3, though. GAAAAHHHHHH!!! I don't see how Grant would make this easier. better jumping, yes, but you'd probably have to abuse the subweapon, and you take extra damage. Worth beating, though. DKC2 K.Rool: Awesome music. Almost reminds me of Bass BS (someone made a mod of MMBN3 that adds this guy in in place of Metalman Beta. It's a well-designed boss. go look it up if you like Mega Man Battle Network.)

I lost a lot of Sonics to Mecha Sonic and Robonik's final boss, so I know how Whois feels. I usually only played "Sonic Alone" though if I wanted to get all the Chaos Emeralds, because Tails always moved a second later and kept losing rings in the bonus stages. My heart rate would have been able to outrun Sonic any day.

So I was playing Warioware Gold just fine, got up to the final boss microgame, and then...It happened. WARIO DE MAMBO RETURNED. I couldn't beat it.

I actually find the cracked version of WarioWare Twisted harder than the original. If some of you don't know what I'm talking about: Since the game was never released in Europe some hackers (?) created a ROM and even made actual cartridges (that I own) that doesn't have a gyro sensor built in (the game wasn't allowed to be released since Europe has some strict laws regarding mercury in electronics and the gyro sensor uses mercury). You instead control the game/tilt objects with the D-Pad und use the B-Button to speed up the rotation. And believe me, it was HELL to complete the "Wario Mambo" or whatever with these controls...especially since some other Microgames didn't really work as well...

I'm so glad Alba was in this video, but I felt that you didn't go into enough detail over how tenacious he was. Like for example, mentioning that after exposing him as the culprit, it takes two more parts just to finally bring him down!

When I saw the thumbnail, I was expecting repeat performances where the boss is weaker, since you used the Generations artwork for the Death Egg Robot.

"I can't defeat TREE MAN!" Seriously though, the only thing that I even slightly enjoyed about Alba was getting to listen to Presto 2009 for way longer than usual. And his character theme is cool too I guess.

The Sega Ages version on Switch has a Ring Keep mode. You start with rings, so that makes every zone easier, INCLUDING the Death Egg Zone. Still no Tails, though.

How I'd improve the boss at 9:20 There would be 5 phases The first phase would remain the same. The second phase would be just like the first, but with the conveyor belt, which clearly warns you with a flashing animation when it's about to change direction. The third phase would have the second robot that shoots lasers in addition to the conveyor belt. The fourth phase would de-activate the laser robots, and stop the conveyor belt, but it would introduce the sawblades. The fifth phase would combine all the stuff, so it would be just like the third phase, but with the sawblades from the fourth phase. So instead of a huge difficulty spike with a second form, I'd have the difficulty slowly rise as the boss fight goes along. Plus, more phases=more fun (just look at Seven Force: the greatest boss fight in gaming ever)

My personal hellish final boss was the 2nd phase of bowletta in Mario and Luigi superstar saga. Its given me shivers every time I face it. But, let's just say, have the better versions of your bros. Attacks. They make living hell into a difficult walk in the park.

I remember getting all the way to the end of AVGN adventures, before completely giving up on the final boss. Even though I was playing on the easiest difficulty, it was still impossibly hard compared to every other boss.

The final boss that gave and still gives me hell is Vergil from DMC 3 my God his Healm Breaker DT spam is hell you can't attack him and he regenerates health and Judgement Cut End just spams the whole battlefield and sometimes follows you also health regen.

Doom Dragon from Golden Sun: Lost Age. with its Cruel Ruin... and the ability to cast Djinni Storm (Puts all of your active party down to its lowest physical stats, without Djinni, you lose all of your class advantages, such as the ability to revive and heal) and if Doom Dragon decides to spend both of its turns using Cruel Ruin, well regardless your level, you can't survive both Cruel Ruin moves. Even more unlucky if he decides to do the same thing again with your backup party

K. Rool literally took my entire childhood and more just to beat him. For the life of me, I just COULD NOT beat him. Nowadays, I can clear him without too much trouble, but he was the literal bane of my childhood.

Wario Mambo was pretty tough, but the trick is to do the moves to the rhythm of the music. I strongly recommend you do another one of these hellish final boss videos.

Personally, I think Kefka deserves to be on this list. You have to beat 3 bosses before him, ascend his tower, and beat four phases with him. And on top of that, his abilities and moves are some of the most dangerous in the game.

Nyx from Persona 3. Multiple attack phases, you don't have direct control over your party members, cheap spells that can kill off your party members and a charm attack that if it hits your healer, they could heal the boss of all their HP. The only way I beat it was to have the MC act as party healer, have a wide range of Persona to guard against the attacks of the phases and I got stupid lucky and fused a Persona with a gift that gave me an accessory to guard against all status attacks.

If we're talking stupidly hard final bosses, there's nothing anything I find scarier than the Moon Lord from Terraria. (In case you haven't heard of Terraria, think of it as a 2D Minecraft, except with absolute truckloads of content. And those trucks are the size of Mount Everest. Yes, really.) I can guarantee that if you ever play this game to it's completion, the next Boss Analysis will just be a way to filter your rage for this boss. It's only on the PC version at the moment, but I sure am glad the consoles and mobile versions are currently spared if this monstrosity... (Super long rant incoming.) I mean, holy crap, summoning this guy alone is a pain. Once you reach close to the end of the game, the process of summoning him is simple: Go all the way to one of the edges of the world and find a temple with a group of cultists around it. Kill them, and that will summon the Lunatic Cultist, which is a fairly difficult boss in its own right. Once he's down, you'll get a message saying "Celestial Creatures are invading!", and wouldn't you know it, your world now has 4 giant pillars in it, with hordes of alien creatures surrounding each one. So just go to the pillars and take them out right? Well before you can do that, you have to take out ONE HUNDRED minions corresponding to that pillar! And if you're on Expert Mode, that number is bumped up to One hundred fifty! And keep in mind, there are four pillars, so you have to do this four times in a row! And it certainly doesn't help that these pillars are really hard! Heck, I've died to the solar pillar even with Post-Game Equipment! Thank goodness for respawning... Immediately after destroying the 4th and final pillar, another message will appear saying "Impending doom approaches..." Well doesn't that brighten your spirits? What's worse, the entire screen slowly starts to pulse, the music drowns out, and after a full minute of waiting, you see a flash of light, and then THIS THING taking up you're entire screen! hydra-media.cursecdn.com/terraria.gamepedia.com/7/7f/Moon_Lord.png You cannot tell me that that image would not be terrifying when enlarged to fit your entire screen. And we haven't even gotten to the fight itself yet... As you can see, the Moon Lord has 3 giant eyes, one on it's head, the others on it's hands. Obviously, these are it's weak points. Have fun hitting them though, because they can just close themselves whenever the heck they feel like, which will make them invincible. And yes, each eye has its own hp bar, so while you can just switch your target a lot early on in the fight, it will be really frustrating when 2 eyes are already defeating and the last one keeps closing itself. Afterwards, it's chest will open up, revealing it's heart, which is the Moon Lord's new weak point (Be thankful this one doesn't close.) Sounds okay right? Please, I haven't even mentioned what he actually does yet. A majority of the Moon Lord's attacks will be fired from its eyes, of course. All 3 eyes launch high speed "Phantasmal Bolts", but only the hands can fire charging "Phantasmal Spheres" and homing "Phantasmal Eyes" (Yes, these eyes fire more eyes. I don't get it either). That's a pretty difficult fight already, but we shouldn't forget that the head's eye fires a GIANT LASER ACROSS THE WHOLE SCREEN! Excuse me, WHAT!?! Seriously, dodging this "Phantasmal Deathray" is extremely difficult, and it does massive damage! The maximum amount of HP you can have by this point is 500, and you probably have at least 50 armor by this point. So on its own, how much can the laser do. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY HP! Even with armor, that's like a fifth of your health! Oh yeah, and don't forget that the head's eye has almost twice as much HP as the ones on the hands. And if that wasn't bad enough, the Moon Lord can bite you with it's tongue (Again, I don't understand it either) healing either its eyes or its core, while simultaneously inflicting you with the "Moon Bite" debuff for roughly 15 seconds, which prevents you from using any lifestealing items to increase your own HP. Of course, taking out the eyes would make that fight easier, right? ...Right? Hah, you wish. Instead, the eyes just POP OUT OF THEIR SOCKETS, BECOME A FLYING, INVINCIBLE ENEMY, CONTINUING THERE ATTACKS AND LEAVING BEHIND A THORNY CREVICE THAT DEALS CONTACT DAMAGE!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!! And yes, this happens with EVERY SINGLE EYE! EXCUSE ME!?! I FREAKING KILLED YOU!!! WHY ARE YOU STILL ATTACKING!?!?! Seriously, this is just insane. I swear the Moon Lord was designed to be unbeatable. And not to mention you have to go through the complicated summoning process almost everytime he defeats you. Eventually you can craft an item to summon him, but you have to use items dropped from the pillars anyway, so you will still have to go through the process multiple times. The only way I've EVER been able to beat him is by exploiting the nurse NPC, and even then it takes forever. Oh, and did I mention he gets buffed with every single patch? *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* Holy crap, this took forever to write. I normally not one to rant on the internet, but I couldn't help but feel like this was the perfect opportunity to get something off of my chest. The Moon Lord may be satisfying to beat, but that doesn't change the fact that its absolutely ridiculous, even by final boss standards. Seriously, this is probably the worst part in an otherwise amazing game. BUT HEY HE DROPS A PORTAL GUN SO ITS ALL GOOD GUYS

i actually really like the Wario man boss. I use a mobile emulator to play it with the rumble sensor and it feels great. the only part that I found a problem was the third level of difficulty,it was pretty easy to me otherwise.

One example of a hellish final boss I know of comes from the legendary starfy for the DS. It's the final phase that's what makes it hellish because simply put you have to press a button as fast as you can. You really need a insanely fast clicking speed to do the final blow. Those who played this game will know what I'm talking about

i remember yelling at my phone when i played as Sonic for the final boss fight and when you mentioned how things are gonna get tougher for Knuckles... as a person who is just now playing as Knuckles... oh.. my yell is enough to demolish a row of houses. okay yes i exaggerated abit but still it is a possibility~

How about DJ Octavio from Splatoon? Compared to all the other bosses, he can be a huge pain; he shoots projectiles everywhere (which only increase over time), he summons enemies, he spams Killer Wail, AND has a barrier that pops up if you bump too close into him.

Allow me to point out another hellish final boss, one that puts all of these other final bosses to shame... Village Alatreon from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. If you never went online due to having the 3DS version like me, then prepare to get assraped by this beast of an elder dragon. It has High-Rank health (Which is the norm considering the Village quests go up to High-rank, and that already gives it a huge amount of health), but it does G-Rank damage, which means its attacks are extremely powerful to the point of OHKOs even if you have the best High Rank armor. And if you're doing a no-cart, no-fail run like I did, then it makes this guy even worse, because just one fainting and you gotta reset. BUT! It is possible to beat the Alatreon without going online and with High-Rank gear. Just ask me - I beat that fucker in the last 2 minutes with a near-complete Steel Uragaan armor set and a Brachydios LS gemmed for Health+10. Cha-Cha wore the Nulberry Mask (just in case I ran out of nulberries myself) and Kayamba wore the Ultimate Mask. I also think I used the food skill Felyne Thundercaller in combination with food buffs as well. And with that combination and after over 4 MONTHS of trying to beat this thing, I finally took it down on November 9th, 2015. WHO'S THE KILLJOY NOW, BEE-YATCH?!

Cruel Final Bosses? Its nothing more than RNG Ellie in Gacha world! Stats: Description: - The true form of ellie every time she uses the sword. Can't really say anything else. Element: UNABLE TO RESOLVE Attack power: 250, 500, or 750 HP: 2,000,000 What makes this boss hard: - You have to level up all units that appear in the main story, something that a player would never intend to do - Your attack power is pretty low until you farm to like LV130 - All your summons are RANDOM, making this fight an absolute roll of the dice. - 6 stars and 7 stars do not appear here, making it very annoying - Sometimes you will not have enough HP to last towards the fight. DIFFICULTY: Nightmare 10/10 It took me 5 months to finish this boss, man it was a nightmare

Honorable Mention: Masked Satan (Puyo Puyo Tsu remix) Rally mode itself was a hellish run. Especially near the end when Puyo would drop extremely fast. Masked Satan takes advantage of this and assaults you with nuisance Puyo and when your Puyo are dropping so fast, you hardly have time to think before he unleashed a big chain, which is almost a guaranteed loss
