so, to be "that guy" the way the game is coded for damage, max does 4 damage, and goofy does 5, and a lot of the enemies have 5 health. this is why boss fights dont take double.hits from max
My theory is that "Burning Bear" was a native adept with and used this skill to rule over the other natives, they didn't mind until the Pirates showed up and he started admiring them and following them (hence why he speaks piratey) after which the natives had enough and decided to help Goofy & Max sort him out
Considering the Natives in the second guy don't off you if they hit you with a barrel even if you don't have any hearts, I'd say that's pretty strong evidence that they're playing for your team.
When you finish the game, all the bosses names are showed, much like Donkey Kong style: 3:00 Jester Hole 8:33 Fire Bug 13:14 Red Skeleton, Blue Skeleton (yeah, I know) 18:55 Red Rumbler, Green Rumbler 23:37 Keelhaul Pete
I personally like these type of boss analysis videos, where you're just talking about all the bosses from each game instead of just talking about bosses based on the theme your talking about.
About the centipede boss, i've noticed that the skulls on the wall show which centi will show up. Left is purple, right is green, both is both. (Who could've thought.)
If we talking game design, the centipedes are an example of bad game design. A boss with only a while to damage them, and a fuckton of downtime where you can't do anything to them.
I really need to see more brutal final bosses. Seriously, I had a LOT of trouble with some final bosses and it's nice to know it isn't just me. The NSMB2 Bowser fight was aggravating for me. Even with the gold leaf I could not get the platforming down to save my life. I REALLY had a lot of trouble with the final boss of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.
Man, this game is amazing. I've played it a lot when I was a kid. Despite remembering going through all the levels, I don't remember if I ever beat it though.
This was actually one of the games I owned as a kid and loved it. Though, that last level was a pain for me, especially at the very end with the steering wheel block puzzle and that one massive puzzle in the volcano. I should revisit this game sometime and play it again.
i think a cool theme for a potential later boss analysis video could be on boss fights/final opponents in sports games stuff like super team, mario strikers (gamecube) petey piranha, mario strikers charged (wii) i would say dedede in kirby's dream course but you covered that already the final fight against ninja, black mage and white mage in mario -hoops 3 on 3- slam basketball (this in particular is a super intense fight and one of my favorite final bosses in gaming) the fight against behemoth in mario sports mix (this ones also interesting) any boss from mario and sonic (notably the portable ones, they tend to have story modes) matt (wii sports) other champions from wii sports and wii sports resort i guess
Ironically, the time Pete is the hardest fight is when it's not the real Pete. He should've asked Barbossa for a lesson in bomb-chucking/spinning for Kingdom Hearts 3. I think everyone who comments here wants to make their own games in some way, and certainly there's a ton of dead franchises like Front Mission, Demon's Crest and Wild Arms that I'd give a great deal to be the one to revive. Or for anyone to revive by making a good game.
Goof Troop was an odd show, but it did give us some good. More work for Rob Paulsen and Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer as Goofy, that so bad it's hilarious music video that came with the first episode, and A Goofy Movie along with its sequel. And let's not forget: "IF WE LISTEN TO EACH OTHER'S HEARTS!..."
@@PrimesNewExperiment That is just lovely. One day you're overseeing the jumps of the Goof family, then the next day you're watching a woman almost get crushed by a ceiling which is then followed by a line about a certain type of sandwich in a mansion filled with the undead.
Could please do a boss analysis about Portrait of Ruin? It is my favorite Castlevania game and has some pretty interesting bosses. Outside of that, great video.
When I saw bloodlines, I thought he was gonna take about stage 6-2 (the one where the screen slides into 3 different parts). Also, I’m surprised he hasn’t done the final battle from earthbound/mother 2.
Only in like 16:00 in the video I realized that their skulls look like ox. Or whatever is the word. I played it with my brother when I was like 9 or 10. And only now I realized they don’t have a weird smile. Edit: Fuck,I didn’t even notice the horns.
Funny enough, I had a dream of doing a fanfic of this with a few changes like I had Pokémon and Digimon involved, Ash in place of Max, TK in place of Goofy and Serena and Kari in place of Pete and PJ. Also, the Pokémon and Digimon held by the Whack-A-Mole, Ken and Davis at the Burning Bear, Clemont and Yolei with the Purple Bone Band and Bonnie and Cody with the Centipedes.
