You’re supposed to build bonds with your demons by doing things like gifting certain demons with items. Then, not only will they obey your every move, but they’ll also give you more control over their move sets.
Man this game's main character is lowkey one of the coolest in the franchise. Dude got that Arsene Lupin/Jojo character energy while still having a simple design. He's incredibly smug in pretty much every art made of him. He was sent to the deepest parts of hell and returned.
@@garryrptr Funny enough he's not even a Kuzunoha, the actual guy (Kyouji) died while on the case and the MC inherit the body after he too was killed by the antagonist, Sid. The smugness came from our MC, not the Kuzunoha guy. Kyouji is a no nonsense prick.
Everytime I fight a boss in the SEGA Saturn version I just can't keep hearing and think is a banger, truly this game has my favorite OST of the Devil Summoner sub-series
Even if is this game is best selling title in subseries. Along with Revelations Persona, this game was best selling Megaten title in Japan until ... Persona 5.
I'm currently playing soul hackers and im loving it and im interested in the fan translation patch hopefully it doesn't come out too late so that our children will enjoy it
Reminder that Hirohiko Araki totally 300% ripped-of Sid Davis' design wholesale when he made Enrico Pucci from Part 6 of JoJo. Sid's final form is how Pucci would've looked if Araki's art hadn't changed.
I thought that too, until I checked dates. Part 6 didn't start until January 1 2000. Devil Summoner came out in december of 1995. So probably not. Sometimes designs just align that way.

1:00 Definitely the slow descent. My favorite part of SMT2's battle theme. Lots of nods to SMT1's battle theme here, you could probably name them. The Old Enemy parts aren't at 0:54, but I hear it as well.

This game was such a fucking vibe. Wish it would get a translation. When I played the PSP version, I had to use the Compendium exclusively for fusion stock.
I've been looking for updates every few months on the translation. This is probably the most I've ever wanted to play a videogame, especially after finishing soul hackers.
@Mariesun Saturn is reason, and spaghetti code. Even Atlus had big problems with port this game on PSP, which ended as a huge downgrade from Saturn version (music was ruinded, and game is even slower). This game just need remake from scratch.

Honestly, the crunchy MIDI instruments add to the charm IMO. Just like the shitty Photoshop version 1.0 VFX and tacky word art everywhere. The game is Vaporwave as fuck.
Even Giten Megami Tensei got fan translation patch faster than Devil Summoner 1995. Now, Devil Summoner 1995 is along with RONDE the only one games in series without any english translation LMAO.
@@LuminescentShine But there will be spanish fan translation patch for this game (sadly for PSP version who had terrible compressed OST). It's completed in 90%.
