@@nimitz1739 essentially just a stronger signal. Guitars output their signal at what's known as "instrument level", and synthesizers, keyboards, and drum machines all output their signal at "line level". Many guitar pedals are designed to work best with the weaker "instrument level" signal since that's what guitars output, but lots of them can take "line level" signals with no issues. It's usually just digital pedals that have issues with line level input since you can get undesirable digital clipping sounds since the signal is too hot. Of course, you could just turn down the volume of the input signal to help remedy this. I was wondering what happens with the BP-1w when fed a line level signal that is cranked high to drive this pedal hard. Does it distort/drive nicely, or is it the type of pedal you would want to keep the line level volume down when running it into the BP-1w?
Less bluesy shreddy stuff more riffs. Can we hear some chords. You know some pop some 7s and 9s Little jazzy bits even. Not everyone interested in this pedal wants to sound like SRV. DEI... remember that. I hear Marvin Gaye is popular, how bout The Isley Brothers. D'Angelo had some great riffs Grammy nominated even. Or maybe you just don't want our money, cause we'll buy it anyway😅😊😢
That's the problem with demos. But also I'm the opposite. I want to hear this thing cranked in an amp with a little bit of grit already lol. No cranks the gain and volume ever. Drives me insane.
@@greendragon2471 every preamp/boost/overdrive/distortion pedal demo USUALLY has a very cursory nod towards clean or even edge of breakup sounds. Then the whole rest of the demo will be CRANKED. Out comes the “blues dentist” shredding. I didn’t realize the alternative/indie or soul/pop was so unpopular with guitar demo guys. Seems they all were raised on a diet of bluesy 80s hard rock ( blues scale/mixolydian with pinch harmonics😂) Its as if U2 REM The Cure The Clash - and I could go on…never existed.
@@ronrobins3513 you know, if someone could just do a few chords and links for what you're describing, do some blues and show "how well it cleans up" 🥴 and then crabked it and tried to chug a couple riffs, we could get more well rounded, diverse, and shorter videos lol.....especially if they don't bable about what you don't need to hear about it. It's not a fuckin complex digital modeler thing. Please shut the fuck up 😆 🤣 😂.
If you’re going to be critical, at least be accurate. There is zero similarity in his playing to SRV, and the only thing that remotely resembled shredding lasted about 3 seconds between 7:26 and 7:29.
I use a number of boost pedals, the term transparent is misleading, .. the term transparent is being misused in this context.. if it does nothing but a transparent boost, it’s technically just a volume boost, when in fact boost pedals do way more than a “transparent “ or “natural “ boost.. get on my level kid lol..
