I have an original Boss CH-1 from 1989 that I will never get rid of. I have tried many different types of Choruses including majority of Boss’s line of Choruses and I always found myself going back to my Super Chorus. Excellent Pedal and great content. Subbed 👌🏼
I got one of these 1 year ago and didnt know how to make it sound good in a rock application but i do cause of this video this guy/girl should be more popular
I got here because I was looking for a demo of the oddly named and hard to find Behringer Chorus Orchestra. There seem to be none in English, so I got to thinking it's got to be based on a Boss pedal, and sure enough, this seems to be the one. Sounds the same to me, or very close. The Behringer splits the EQ into two knobs for high and low, which is nice I guess. Anyway, I was amazed at the sound of this pedal. I generally don't care for chorus, but this thing does it a different way if set right (I dime everything but rate, keep that around 9-10 o'clock). Adds space and depth but without that annoying 80's glassiness that everyone associates with chorus. I couldn't believe how great it sounded, and I haven't even tried the stereo yet. Just amazing!
It’s up there for sure. Boss has a number of great chorus pedals and there a couple other companies that make some nice ones. Walrus Audio’s Julia and Juliana both come to mind. Like Boss, i’ve yet to find a bad Walrus pedal but Walrus prices are kinda over the top. Of course their pedals also look amazing and for some pedalboard madmen like myself that matters to an extent tho not nearly as much as the sound. Only issue i’ve had with Boss pedals is they sure can be noisy on a board and cause issue with other pedals. Just takes some tweaking but Boss pedals seem to work best with other Boss pedals whereas EHX, Walrus, EQD, Catalinbread etc all work great together and with most other well made pedals.
I bought this pedal going back 20 years ago. Not been used very much and just tried to start using it and noticing that the chorus sound is alwasy on (but to a lesser amount) do you find this with your pedal or is it likily mine is faulty from old age?
