Love your expressive playing. It is all about expression and so many miss that and constantly try to improve by mastery of scales, licks, chords, etc. without thinking about the guitar voice.

This is pretty much the tone i used to use in Guitar Rig 3 and loved which i've been trying to find for the Boss GT-100. Steve Lukather did some similar 80s patches but they don't match the quality of this one :)

Great channel, you inspired me to buy a used gt100 as a backup of my kemper. Following your videos I can get great tones but this unit produces a huge noise, which let every dist sound unusable...any suggestion (I used your noise gate settings, even for the global one)

Thanks bro! If you bought used I advise you to do a "Factory Reset". The former owner may have changed something in the internal settings, and that's very hard to find. Before, save your favorite presets to your computer and after Reset, import them back to your Gt100. I don't have any noise problem even using cheap guitars like Sx, all original as it came from the factory (with the exception of the frets). Always place the Noise Gate after the Preamp/Cab on the Gt100. This is the best position in the effects chain on the Gt100. Edit: Always use the original power supply. On the back of the Gt100 there is a two-position mini switch related to grounding (noise).

Question, i use gt100 almost exclusively in manual mode, but in this mode the accel ctrl will not remain in "momentary" fx1(flanger) remains on until i tap it again. is there a way to resolve this. Again, this is only a problem in manual mode.

Throw your GT-100 into the factory lead patch 17-1. It blew me away, I find myself using it all the time for metal lead.

Absolutely superb! Such a well put together set of instructions and the outcome is really great: lovely lead sound. Many thanks. Only question / observation is that 'pattern level' = 150 was far too high, I had to bring that down as low as 30....and that works great into my Mackie 1604-VLZ Pro Mixer. Did I miss something? Anyway, as I said works great in my studio situation now - everything else exactly as you indicated.

Hello Charlie! Thanks! :) That's right! The issue of volume depends on where we are monitoring ourselves. When I recorded the video I should have been wearing headphones and the master volume knob on the GT100 should have been turned down so I instinctively turned it up in the preset. You must adjust it to your mode of use and save. I also always make suggestions that, after copying the settings I left in the videos, each person uses knobs 5, 6, 7 and 8 to make the final fine adjustments of bass, medium, treble and volume. After that just save the preset. Thanks my friend!

Hello Drew! All of our GT-100 videos are in this playlist. There is a Dire Straits preset. But we don’t use real amps. Our theme on this channel is to explore the amp simulations of multi-effects so we can send the signal directly to the mixer/PA system on live shows or mixer in studio recordings. Hi... you need disable the P Loop function. Press SYSTEM - Phrase Loop - Pedal Func OFF. You can use the PHRASE LOOP button as a CTL pedal.

Hola Marvin! Estoy usando el GT100 como interfaz de audio. Luego se conecta al computer con un cable USB 2.0. Y la señal del GT100 pasa en estéreo a través del cable USB. Luego seleccionamos una pista estéreo en el DAW en la que el audio se grabará en estéreo. Gracias por comentar amigo. Estoy disponible para resolver cualquier consulta.

Hello Ramy! It's what my ears were asking for at the time (2019). The preset was supposed to have a lot of bass at high volumes, so I cut the bass. I would do it differently if it were today. Hi! Using the GT-100 itself as a USB interface. During recording, I listen to the sound through headphones or audio monitors. The sound you hear is not the room's ambient audio, just the sound that Reaper recorded directly from the GT-100. Lots of GT-100 videos here, all settings are always free in the videos and you can copy them to your GT-100. Fala Arthur! Pô cara... nunca usei a Pod Go. Olha cara, a Gt100 sempre foi a "mãe" das pedaleiras pra mim desde que foi lançada em 2012. Em primeiro lugar sempre ela. Em 2016 dei um tempo dela quando peguei a Tonelab EX porque amei depmais as simulações de preamp/cab e só voltei pra GT100 depois que a Mooer lançou o Radar. Mas hoje, em junho de 2023, minha principal pedaleira é a Nux MG30. Estou super satisfeito e encontro tudo o que preciso nela. Tanto que nem peguei a Gx100 ou fiz o esforço pra pegar a Gt1000 mesmo sendo usuário ferrenho da Boss desde o final dos anos 90. :) Eu não descarto qualquer hora pegar uma dessas que citei acima e até a Pod Go também mas seria porque tenho este canal e iria compartilhar presets em vídeos, vender patches como vendo os da GT100, essas coisas... mas se eu não tivesse o canal a MG30 está suprindo em tudo tanto em estúdio quanto ao vivo. Abração cara!

The Gt 100 ‘s presets are mostly junk but when creating your own patches it can be very versatile or when copying patches that’s dialed in they just might need a few minor tweeks depending on your amp and guitar.

Hello my friend! Yes, the factory originals really don't sound very good for recording directly on the computer or using live directly on the PA system even with Line/Phones active. I believe the manufacturer was thinking about using them at the input of a clean amp like the Jazz Chorus or Twin Reverb. The presets I share here are my personal presets that have been useful to me at some point or are still in use. I believe this helps other people and serves as a starting point because generally the personal adjustments to adapt them to their guitars and hands are only in the bass adjustments. mids and highs and can be done simply by turning knobs 5, 6 and 7. Finally, knob 8 adjusts the individual volume of the patch and then just save. Of course, the person can adjust the preset's internal effects such as increasing or decreasing the drive, turning off or adding the delay and many other things, but I leave the backbone ready here on RU-vid of my own free will without having any kind of relationship with the manufacturer. @@DirectRecordingGuitar I appreciate the help on patches I by accidentally wiped my memory so starting all over again and have to dial everything all over again, I’m still trying to figure out how to download a patch from Boss’s downloads like the free 25 classic tones and btw do you have a download for the heavily saturated shredders even though I’m a classic rock guy

Porque você usa o sinal de fone de ouvido pra ligar?

Eu sempre uso a própria pedaleira como placa de som. Então no momento da gravação eu uso fones direto na placa de som que no caso é a GT100. No momento de programar os timbres eu tb uso fones de início e depois meus monitores Yamaha para ajustes finais. // Nas pedaleiras que não têm a função de interface USB como Stomplab, G1on, G1 Four eu mando o sinal do output da pedaleira direto pra uma interface M Audio e plugo meu fone na interface.

@@DirectRecordingGuitar Perfeito, em situações ao vivo é no L/R né? Tira uma duvida minha, no caso eu ligo a pedaleira em uma interface(Behringer UM2(sim é a de entrada mesmo) ), e ta bem dificil de timbrar, recomenda timbrar ela nessa saída de fone mesmo?

no caso ficaria pré sobre pré (Pré da Gt100 / Pré da placa) e isso afetaria o som? estou sem amp, e ta beeeeeeem dificil timbrar sem, em situações ao vivo, eu mando um cabo para DI e outro pro AMP(como monitor)

@@lestratus Eu recomendo vc usar a própria GT100 como interface. Ela é ótima nessa função para home studios. Já gravei tanto cd assim.. porque trabalho pra vários studios e a maioria deles me enviam as guias pelo Wetransfer, eu baixo, gravo as tracks de guitarras e envio pelo Wetransfer pra eles. Também uso a GT1, G5n e Hd500x da mesma forma. Em nenhuma delas eu uso minha interface M Audio, sempre uso a própria pedaleira como interface.

Fiz o teste aqui, é gritante a diferença cara, você tem alguma ideia de como dar uma reduzida no ruido? Cara me ajuda a chegar um Marshall parecido com o que o eles estão usando (pegar como referência o álbum pra sempre (regravações com o suricato) ) tô apanhando demais com a gt100
