The secret sauce to the Kat is plugging into an external cab! I keep telling people this about the Katana but because people think it’s a solid state that it’s not as good. They be missing out! Haha

yeah solid state is irrelevant at this point because we have coutnless pro touring musicians using kempers, AxeFX, Quad Cortex, etc into SS power amps all getting amazing tones and no one blinks an eye but when you take a SS preamp and put it with a SS power amp and put it into a headshell, people lose their minds. Honestly, if Boss made a Katana floor unit and somehow managed to still cram a 100W power section into it and have it be something like the size of the GX-100, it would be a hit and no one would complain about it being a SS amp.

Bro, i followed you for WELL over a decade on my other account. I would LOVE to hear you doing some really high gain stuff with the katana, like Uber, recto, herbert type tones. Huge machine head and fear factory fan. That sounds absolutely awesome. Great work as always

Thanks for the support dude. Yeah it's got some great higher gain stuff in it. I'll mess around and see what I can do. If you haven't seen his stuff yet, Lambchopper has a Katana also and has done some Megadeth, Metallica and Gojira sounds.

Meant to ask if you have this patch available, bro? Looking forward to any of those metal patches i mentined previously ( if and when you get time). Youve always gotten incredible tones out of every piece of gear. Your sounds on this are some of the best ive ever heard. Would love to pay you for a handful of settings

Video description has a screenshot of all the amp settings used in this vid. I've been messing around with it trying to get a good high gain metal sound and although I'm pretty happy with it, there is always room to tweak. If you take the settings in the screenshot, make these changes. Amp Type - Brown (variation switch off) Gain - 21 Volume - 58 Bass - 39 Mid - 29 Treble - 82 Boost - on - level of 2 (same clean boost settings as the Jubilee patch screenshot settings) Presence - 20
