Unfortunately Boss has announced this product is indefinitely canceled because of “unforeseen massive supply problems.” I got one but now I guess we might be hung out to dry on uodates and tone exchange.
Yeah, heard it, ordered one immediately and just hoping for the best. It's awesome for practise while the kids are sleeping and in general. Just grabbing the guitar and play where ever I like. Still, if I have one issue with it, adding usb interface is cool, but I still have no figured out how to get a DI signal. Seems a bit silly to just send the headphone signal per USB without a DI option. As they stopped making them, I fear they never will update the software to fix that small little issue.
The one thing I wish it had is a metronome. And clearer instructions for how to get both the MIDI and AUDIO Bluetooth connections working (to put session urls/files into the connected headphone). I also found it very confusing figuring out how to load files into a session. Tone and feature wise, it’s pretty incredible. Significant step up from my Mustang MICRO. Great vid, thanks!
Fanatstic piece. Own a Katana 50, a Katana 100 MK2 Head and use my Standard Sounds also on Katana Go. We had a blackout during our last recording session and so i used the go to finish the tracks. No differences. Saved us money and a lot of time. Love it.
Fantastic Video! Thank you very much for walking us through the interface and showcasing some of those amazing sounds. One of the most important features for me, and something I can’t seem to find any information online about, is does it support TRRS mic recording if you have headphones with an attached Mic? Right now I”m using a similar product, and one of the best features is that I can just plug my headphone with mic in and through the app adjust mic volume, boost, etc. and record straight with the guitar signal for giving online lesson, or for recording vocals while I’m playing. It’s such a simple yet great feature to have. So if I can do the same with the Katana as well, I’m sold, but haven’t found any information about it yet. Do you, or anyone in the comments have any experience with that?
Hey buddy! Thanks so much for the super interesting question! I actually never thought of using it that way. I've just had a little play around with it and I'm not sure if this is possible unfortunately! When recording through usb (therefore using the GO as an Audio interface) the wet signal goes directly to your DAW and as far as I can tell that's the only output you have. Uhmmm interesting question tho...will have to continue researching 🤔
@@SoulStringChannel Cheers for your answer, man. Yes, it’s such a simple feature, but for some reason not many companies pay attention to something like that. The Nux has that feature and it’s great, but the Katana has such amazing sounds, so if they don’t currently have that feature, I hope they add it in the future through a firmware update. Hey buddy thanks for the comment. What I mean by stereo is having the signal split with the dry and wet sound and having the ability then to blend. Unless I've missed something how can you do that with the GO?
The kat go is most definitely a stereo device...you may want to edit this video to be correct. Check the pan delay. Even using the stage feel this is using phasing and that is using the stereo out to make the sound appear to move around in front and behind you. Good video otherwise man but you really got that wrong
Thanks for the comment buddy. I definitely added confusion here, what I did mean to say was that there is a dual signal out of it, like the kat 50 has for example. This could be used for re-amping or sending a dry/wet sound etc. Certainly the word stereo wasn't the best but that's what I was supposed to say😂 cheers
