I have used many different drive pedals and it was sometimes difficult to get the sound I was looking for. With this pedal I was easily creating the sound I had in my head mostly due to the ability to adjust the low/mid/high freqs separately. Also, being able to stack within the pedal is amazing and fun. This pedal will never leave my board. On a side note the learning curve initially appears to be overwhelming but once you dive into the settings it makes since and very easy to remember and comprehend.
Sir, I find this video very fun to watch. You rock so hard but talk so calm, which is so funny in a good way. Amazing playing and great sense of humor!
Excellent video and stellar playing. Thank you for the best description yet for this pedal. I've been thinking of getting the OD-200 for a while and you have helped me with your excellent demonstration. You rock!
Thanks Mr Vibes. This is a very useful reference video, the timestamps are useful. I have just bought an OD-200 and this has helped a lot and saved time with the setting up and getting familiar :)
OMG, I LOVE THIS GUY! I've got this pedal, he could have gotten a little more excited with a 4.8 rating, but hey, that's what being German is all about! You've got a new stan Rock Guitar Vibes! And yeah, buy this pedal. Even at $250 its a steal.
thought it cool that you played some songs with these ods. but we definitely use fuzz differently. I have watched many videos like this and you can rate yours in the top 3 man you even did the update. and explained so well. thank you. i feel like i should pay you but ill just thank you again
Yes, turn me loose! Classic. Thanks for the review. I have been considering getting this to replace my fuzz, od, distortion, and boost for gigging to reduce the pedal count. I am leaning towards getting one. It seems very flexible.
Very helpful video. I watched it pre and post purchase and found it a great research. I'm a newbie to pedals. This is my 3rd OD pedal. I think it is amazing. A steal at $300 SGD!
Great video! Well done. Im hitting up my wife for getting it for xmas. I've always liked Boss pedals. This seems to be the distortion pedal to replace all others. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for making this video. I have been looking for a video that showed the different boosts and your demonstration with the looped riff was exactly that. Cheers!
Oh man, this was so great! Best review of this pedal I've seen! I've got a DS-1X that I love, but I think I need to sell it and grab one of these - it's so versatile. Great review and great playing! Love the Friedman...
Wow you did a fantastic review the best I've seen over alotnof my favorite channells that have huge subs I do have to say the lick and frame you used for the boost demo was very hard to differentiate from normal .perhaps a rhythm section would have been easier over all 9.5 outta ten friend lol Tim from canada.
Good playing dude...try and stop that cronic, chug-chug between your G/D/A chords as you test each sound...habit, I know, and I use to do that a lot too. I learned to whenever I noticed myself playing like a robot even for a second I would stop it...just a suggestion though...Your a good player...Nice review too...tommyrad
thank you for this, most helpful! One question, do you know if there is a way to see the drive selected for your saved presets? I can only see the boost in the little display. thanks
In the settings (press PARAM+MEMORY buttons) you can define the start and end preset number. EtF means extend from - Ett means extend to. Simply set Ett to the highest preset you want to use - e.g. 25.
The only reason I purchased this pedal (not yet received) is the MIDI capability. I would have spent at least 5 minutes on this function. Most people with OD/Boost pedals will buy this pedal for the main feature of MIDI. Great review otherwise!
