@@god-awful_contentfr its just a rumour, (i think), but still, when you compare the music from literally everyone else this shit was pretty insane so i cant blame him for thinking it was modified. i honestly thought this was some modified audio chipset when i heard it the first time
People continue quoting this under BOSS but in reality, what fascinated Miyamoto so much is how realistic the other sounds were- particularly those in Plok's title screen. He didn't believe the console could produce such realistic sounds, sounding almost exactly like a real harmonica and guitar. Tim and Geoff had used simple wave synthesis to reconstruct the sounds from mixing the most basic waveforms, a square and sine. With only a physical analogue to work with and not able to fit so many audio samples to load into the console's memory, they effectively reconstructed the sounds of real instruments atom by atom. Which if you ask me? Is even more impressive.
@@FirelMusicTim Follin also used his real guitar, recorded him playing on it, and reconstructed it in, explaining why many of the guitar solos and in-game guitar parts emulate a real fretboard closely.
Remember, Plok is basically a genocidal maniac (wiped out the entire island's population of fleas) and, in all of the boss fights except the first one, he is the instigator, as indicated by the dialogue. In other words... this isn't the theme of the bosses, *this is Plok's theme*
Whenever I look at this video's image, I sometimes see Plok having two curling horns instead of that typical wisp-tail extending from his head, and now that I see this comment, I now *want* to see him like that
@@misterhuman895which is weird because in the webcomic made by the game's creators, Rockyfella is friends with Plok. Guess they set their differences aside
I love how this isn't that different from the original. The boss music in plok really did just go unnecessarily hard. This feels like a "how you remember it" version.
first 30 seconds had me smiling about how this quaint little theme still manages to go hard and then suddenly the beat dropped and i didnt have eyebrows anymore
That's what some people would have told Tim Follin when he made the title music for Solstice (NES). Funny, he and Geoff worked on the soundtrack for Plok.
I meant about THIS post ru-vid.comUgkx49pJCDE9ZfKgyrnnbh2NUMp7hl18BiVm and, I meant about THIS meme vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rtsRifl2jy0.html&pp=ygUPcGxvayBib3NzIHRoZW1l Sorry for lack of information.
I cannot imagine the amount of effort this must have taken. Plok's Boss theme is one of those masterfully made tracks that's seemingly impossible to remix without sounding like a downgrade, akin to Super Mario Kart's Rainbow Road, or Chrono Trigger's Magus Battle. Every once in a great while, we're treated to a revision of these legendary tracks that rivals, and sometimes, even surpasses the original. This version of the track is easily the best mix I've heard I've heard, right alongside the original. That bass drop is rawer than a dish at a sushi bar, and everything that proceeds is just simply incredible! 👌
Someone needs to show this to Tim Follin, the musician of the original. He would absolutely be blown away by how *hard* this goes while staying true to the source material.
I fucking love how you handled the intro. You gave it *just* enough to feel like the beginning of "just another remix of the boss theme from Plok!" and then, LITERALLY LAST SECOND, *RIGHT AS OUR GUARDS WERE DROPPED,* turned around and (for lack of better terms) DICKSLAPPED us with the *REAL* song. A drop that hits the goddamn SOUL and wraps ALL the way around ANY headset. *THIS* is a BOSS THEME.
“There’ll be trouble! Im coming to get ya… And limbs are gonna FLY.” But seriously, out of every Plok Boss remix I’ve seen, this one actually nails it! It feels like a modern remix of the original, and the style it done so well it almost seems official. This is absolute fire!
ah yes, my favourite type of music: "pure emotion", just a perfect epic mix of sounds creating a picture in your head of someone being pushed to their limit. at least that's what it is for me
honestly,,,,,,,,my partner has this highly traumatized, nerdy, twinky "break the cutie" type of metaverse rp character that i'm a little bit obsessed with, and this blorbo has no fighting experience but he's engineered his own mech-like combat suit - and no one realizes yet that this character is steadily going insane and about to betray/endanger everyone around him??? but this is what my bf chose as his 'boss theme' and um. needless to say my obsession has not gotten any better. i think that's particularly evident in the fact that i've come back to listen to this every single day since he showed it to me
Ok, this is seriously the best rendition of this song I've ever heard. Most versions (even the original), while still giving off that "badass" vibe, still fail to reach that level I'm looking for this. This, however, this masterpiece inspired me to lock myself in a warehouse full of robots. Incredible job.
It's like that similiar thing when "fighting a huge demon monster" to "you realized you are a demon hunter who *is a* demon yourself and a far stronger demon than the monster"
I was enjoying the boss theme replacement mod, until my computer decided to completely remove the Bluetooth button, without even letting me add it back. :( I mean sure I could just use my phone, but it feels cooler actually hearing it in game. Update: I fixed it, I don't know why the thing I did ended up fixing it when nothing else did, but SURE, I literally just unplugged something and plugged it back in.
Never heard of Plok before besides seeing "Flea Pit" song on one of Simpleflips streams. Gotta say, this sounds like that kind of phonk that would make hell erupt like a volcano. Respect
It makes me happy when I randomly get stuff like this in my RU-vid choices. I would have had no idea this game existed, that this song existed, and this absolutely amazing version of this song existed.
beat dropped so hard, blew my headset off my head, ripped all of my hair off and burst the tire of a kenworth going down the highway behind me, causing a 47 car pileup. 30/10 will listen to again
This guy just took the beat and punted it twenty feet into the ground with the might of Zeus... I have no other words, it doesn't need to be said how good this is.
If the game Plok was the other way around, it would be about a horror game about an invincible, genocidal maniac killing everyone around you and all of your friends as he slowly approaches your position.
You'd play as Irving, the third Bobbin Brother who left due to creative differences, and you have to fend yourself from Plok, the grandson of the man who beat you up.
*First boss:* Plok is fighting to recover his stolen goods. *Rest of the bosses:* Plok, for no reason other than he feels like it, goes on a murderous rampage against everyone he has beef with... The "monsters are stuck here with me" meme is fitting after all.
I don't think I've ever been dropkicked by a drop as hard as this one goes and I will absolutely go feral if an extended version ever drops so I can listen to this banger for hours on end
there's nothing more terrifying than the drop in this song when you've dropped an edible. like, i physically got punched in the mouth by this goddamn song, thank you, incredible mix.
You took a bat, swung for the fences and hit me square across the jaw with that drop, holy SHIT. Hope I didn't give myself whiplash from headbanging so hard.
Finished a school test, listened to Virtual Insanity and then this, on repeat, I was getting goosebumps as the beat dropped, these Overdrive Mixes are perfect
This gives the same feeling as that one boss in a game you defeat super early on with ease, only for them to show up as an immensely more difficult fight near the end of the game.
I thought this song couldn't get better, but this video definitely proved me wrong on that front. That drop goes so incredibly hard and even reading the comments about it it STILL caught me off guard. Seriously well done! Also, any chance I'd be able to use this in a video or two I plan to make in the future once I have the right setup? Will give full credit of course!
