So wish i could afford to jump into the amazing world of modular synthesis, having adhd the nob turning and instant noise gratification I need in my life. Really wouldn't know where to begin though truthfully.
It all depends on what kind of music or sounds you want to make... or whether you want to be like Wendy Carlos and Isao Tomita, or Ian Boddy and Chris Carter... and whether you want it to be part of a larger studio (to e.g. play over MIDI), or a self-contained thing to play with (using a built-in sequencer).
@TransistorSounds thank you for the quick reply.. This newer artist is kinda hitting what I wish to create, CEEJAY and his Acid Kills track but I want more of a late 90s early 00s HC/Gabber.. say The Horrorist mixed with RMB.
@TransistorSounds oh yeah, my current analog devices are a Minilogue XD and the DrumBrute Impact(Black). The XD is great for self teaching synthesis. The DrumBrute is slightly limited but has a pretty decent kick and just fun to jam out on. 8 months in still keeping it dawless aswell.
