I will forever have the upmost love and respect for Jack Edward’s, his voice and calls bring me so much nostalgia. But it was nice to get some solid play by play call on a Bruins game. I think Judd’s gonna fill Jack’s shoes well. Again, all love to Jack ❤️
@@McMold jack was jack but overrated especially around these parts… he was great, passionate , and yeah gone too soon type of deal but he was a drag queen homer
@@JNBogan I know he slowed down and was clearly done but prime jack Edward’s was special and unique you can’t tell me you didn’t get any dopamine from hearing him talk about Chinese mustard of tumbling muffins
Low quality rocked review 1. This was definitely a hard forechecked and hard nosed hockey. Spot on. 2. Warm hug moment. Missed Geekie in Group Hug. 3. Lohrei and Peeke look so good together. You are so right he leveled up. 4. Wootherspoon locked for 7th guy. 5. Kuntar is just chaos on ice. Love your assessment of Duran. Spot on. Great 4th line Jones Beecher Duran Brown will always be bridesmaid. Great review of Game.
Lots of bodies thrown was great to see. Koepke looked great, kastelic, surprisingly brown, and merk looked good. I think Lohrei looked like he was out there really leading the way with his play and not making super dangerous plays, just really controlling the ice when he was out there. Goalies shone at certain moments but ultimately were just fine nothing special. Good first preseason game all around. Also Spoons getting his revenge was fucking sweet
As a rangers fan that was a pretty good preseason game they had a lot more physicality than my team if they can ink swayman they’ll be a good team this year for sure
I want him to walk. Don't want a guy on our team who is demanding more money than we can afford and the type of money that high quality forwards that have been around a long time get
Noone actually knows any numbers. And if you watched today's game. The other goalies aren't ready.i know it's game 1 of preseason...but it's not game 1 of their lives.@@brythkaltaris
@@Bruins81sway is testing us. He should be team first imo considering what Berg and Chara sacrificed to be here. Massholes like us love a working class hero. Make him fish back home in Alaska till December.
Most eye opening play of the game with zero meaning- Lysell getting all the way back to the defensive zone to block the shot on the empty net. I loved seeing him get on his horse to make a defensive play
The one player that everyone was wanting to see breakout was Fabian Lysell. I get it that he wasn’t playing with top players, but he seemed kind of soft and not showing much. Hopefully he’s more noticeable with starters around him. The time is now Fabian.
Kinda hard for him to really do much tbh, like you said roster was a little tight on skill tnt. If he played with marchy and coyle looking like that I’d wonder
My takeaways to the game were very physical, guys like tufte and kastelic stood out in a good way. Ur gonna learn kastelic is an enforcer he’s a really tough guy and will fight anyone I know that isn’t like your style but it’s what he is I mean he loves to do that first before anything. But anyway the defense was kinda sloppy, meaning some of the goals scored definitely could’ve been avoidable. but it’s preseason. I agree the goaltending was pretty bad though.
The 2 top bruins prospects weren’t considered top prospects by the rest of the league for a reason. The 2 goalies battling it out for the full time backup to a guy who was statistically the worst goalie in the league last year is a HUGE red flag as to where the team is right now in net.😱
My goalie brain was mainly focused on how Bussi and DiPietro did. 1: They were so sloppy it hurt my heart. 2: Bussi and the NYR starter were both full right, I'm a lefty and I've never seen a lefty on lefty matchup in net. However, while I agree Lysell was somewhat invisible, you have to give him credit at the end when a NYR player who looked like he had an easy open net goal and Lysell chased him down from behind and prevented the goal
Word is even in Practice Lysell and Merk not making enough of an impact. I hope they are just sent down to AHL. No reason demoralizing this kids in camp if it is clear already that they won't make the team. Plenty of other prospects to look at and get feel for.
I could potentially see Farinacci on this team in the next 2-3 seasons, depending on contracts. This is all based on vibes, tho, so take it with a pinch of salt
Kuntar was reach when we drafted him I’m on that island with ya lol, guys a middle 6 guy in the AHL and maybe plays 4th line for us in a few years but that’s pretty much his ceiling, unless the guy takes some unconventional development spurt that’s about what he is.
Bussi was Not good he goes down to his knees way too soon and he stays there😮! Also he played his angles poorly ,out of position too much. Swayman played like this a few years ago and then he changed to a more stand-up style and covered angles better , he became much better! If a goalie is going to use the butterfly style he must Not stay down too long. Players are too good shooters and passers not to take advantage and score. Go Bruins Go !
Kuntar was pretty terrible in the rookie tournament and he didn't look very good in this game either. Scoring a goal is great but I'm not sure I'd currently rank him above Nelson and I don't think that guy was good in the rookie tournament. I think he was okay in this game. I think Adam Machura should have gotten one of those two guys slots. I think he was one of the best forwards in the rookie tournament and his absence from big camp seems like a pretty unfair slight.
