Overused and worn out r terms used to describe sayings in the sports landscape and our world period! Fact is, yes those sayings are prophetic but in the end they always seem to speak the truth! One of those can definitely be used in Boston College's 2021 women's lacrosse narrative - "the perseverance paid off"! U could easily throw in resilience with regards to that narrative! But one things for sure - the wait is over! After three consecutive excruciatingly tough defeats in the NCAA finals, a percentage and maybe a high one, might concede never winning it! But when u watched BC throughout this tournament run, u never got the sense they were a program who had suffered or endured through those losses! Their play and aggressive approach showed they were on a mission! Focusing on that mission and remaining on a high level with it, never dropping off, speaks volumes about their desire, will and character! Much congrats Eagles on reaching your deserved summit!
