Boston Fire Dept. Engine-37 & Ladder-26

Before i went to Fenway Park I stopped at the Huntington Ave Station in Boston. As i was leaving E37/L26 caught a run for a box.
-On 1/9/09 Lt. Kevin Kelly from Ladder-26 passed away in the line of duty when the truck hit a building just down the street from the station. May he rest in peace, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of Lt. Kelly. I have visited this station quite a few times. But i never had the privelage to meet Lt. Kelly but as a fellow firefighter it hits home.

Lt. Kevin Kelly was the brother who passed yesterday (1.9.08)..too bad, he was a 30 year vet of the Boston Fire Dept...RIP My thoughts and prayers are with his family & the brothers at the Huntington Ave House

i would assume it was something with car 5...because those are the tones for their firehouse, so i would assume its for district 5 or car 5 to actually respond somewhere

@colepre4849 The ladder was going down a hill responding to a call. The brakes failed and the truck hit the building at the bottom of the hill. As sad as it is that LT Kelly died, and that is very sad, it could have been much worse. Inside the building, which was brick and fortunately held, were several small children attending some classes. They received some cuts and minor injuries, but all were ok. RIP Lt Kelly.

I stopped to visit before i went to fenway park...wanted to take some pics of the trucks....I was bs'n with one of the firefighters when this call came in.

@Firewall1996 died in a acccident when the apparatus crashed. it was an LODD as couple of years ago

well yeah somewhere in the city, not sure if it was in there 1st due area or not...when i started this video they were already dispatched for the run there goin on...was like 10 seconds prior

How did you figure out Lt Kevin Kelly's death before it even happen? Because it happen in January 9th 2009 and this was either recorded 2008 or 2007
