Good for them. Just hope that tehy dont have to much debts. Also in alot of aread, you need to great connections to somethingvlike 200k. Also keep in mind boston is very expensive to live in.
That, but also, boston is the biomechanic and biotech leader in the world, as well as the college/university capital of America with strong jobs in tech.
There's no way that you can make 20K and live in Boston. Not even rent a single bedroom in the Boston area! I moved up here in 2017 and was making around 25-27K and I could barely afford a room for 950 or 1050. I had three to four roommates consistently. There's also utilities, food, MBTA pass, general necessities (such as clothing and toiletries, etc...) You need to make 100-200K to be able to afford to live in Boston on your own. Even if you go all the way out to Allston-Brighton you're looking at 2400-3100 for a two bedroom apartment. You'll be paying 500,000 for a condo. That's just how it is here. I once rented a studio for 1395 during Covid for a brief period out of necessity, but I had some assistance from the stimulus package . If you're making 20K then you need to up your game buddy.
@@underated17 I could be completely wrong, but im not aware of any strict rule prohibiting someone from doing research without at least a master. just that odds are you wont get hired without one. also he didnt say he worked at a university anyway, did he? there are plenty of museums or private industries that may hire researchers
Considering how old you are when you graduate college and how salaries have gone up and everyone’s hiring, its really not that surprising. I know juniors at my school (that are like 20) who already have jobs waiting for them at places like Goldman and etc right when they graduate. Also, these guys look to be in their late 20s early 30s, I can tell they’re millennials.
@@AribellaAC this isn’t normal American income. a young person can make a lot money but after I’ve watched 10+ of his videos unless if he is interviewing 100 people then only uploading a few of the best income interviews they are all scripted. Maybe it’s a very wealthy area or something it just doesn’t seem average or normal American income. Even most 40-50 year olds don’t make that much
@Sunrise-fr9jb it's not normal american income. Boston is a major tech and bio research hub. It's the leading city in the world for biotech. It's also in Massachusetts, which is in the top 3 highest earning states, the most educated state, the state wirh the best colleges and universities (per capita, and arguably in general). Massachusetts has a gdp per capita of nearly or just above 100k, and a lot of that is concentrated in Boston because, it's a major city.
