The cloudy weather matches the mood in Edmonton following the Oilers game 7 loss Monday Night. As Laura Krause reports, Boston Pizza is giving away free pizzas to grieving hockey fans.
They at least made it to the playoffs..may not been 1st place, but it was one heck of a ride regardless. Would still celebrate despite the loss. One day in the future, " The Stanley Cup" will reside in Canada once more."
It was not " devastating ". It was a bunch of millionaires beating another bunch of millionaires. I like watching hockey, too, but the results will never change my life. Most of these people are just grandstanding. The ones who aren't really need a hobby
That's exactly what I told a friend. Let's not lose our perspective. It's not the end of the world, they are healthy young men, doing what they love to do and getting paid million$$$$ to do it. Where is the sad part? Sure it's difficult to go through 80 plus games to get to the Stanley cup again but beats taking a bus to a minimum wage job day after day.
@@myefone1536 100% true. I always laugh when I hear young guys tossing player salaries back and forth. " this guy's not worth 10 million. 6 million tops, etc... " meanwhile , what are these guys making, if they're working at all.
Thats Canadas place in the NHL for you. Keep people flooding into sports bars every year. Its a billion dollar business to keep Canadian teams losing. Since 1993, a Canadian team has went to the playoffs like 7 times, 5 of those times it went all the way to game 7. Its all about the money.
That girl has no idea what shes talking about.... More focus on drai staying or not. Otherwise this could be a final run for oilers with thw dynamic duo
Boston Pizza has to give it away can't refreese or keep that mutch from waisting. Feed the people God says God bless Boston Pizza. If goverment only did the same, be end to hunger. But bombs are more important governments give away millions and billions to other countries yet there own countries people are starving. The shame.
