Considered "the most desirable printed map of the Revolution in New England" by a dealer in rare maps, Pelham titled his map, "A Plan of Boston in New England with its Environs, Including Milton, Dorchester, Roxbury, Brooklin[e], Cambridge, Medford, Charlestown, Parts of Malden, and Chelsea. With the Military Works Constructed in those Places in the Years 1775. And 1776."
As shown in the photos, the map is extraordinarily detailed, including the names of geographic locations and buildings, and gun emplacements and lines of fire.
Originals are highly-prized and very rare. A map (not colored) sold for $300,000 at Christie's in 2020-and it was the first complete copy to appear at auction in 25 years. There are fewer than a dozen prints recorded.
Our archival print of Henry Pelham's aquatint map is 100% of the original size of 41" x 27.5". We are also offering a smaller version at 24" x 16" framed or unframed. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a print of the colored aquatint map has been available, and it is available exclusively through The History List Store:

I'll always be astonished how Pelham goes from The Fruits of Arbitrary Power in 1770 to This.
