What up BOTAJELL, do not build that in front of the camara you are going to be racing that and no one needs to see anything that will take the edge away from you, this is competition not a show and tell. I will be doing three race cars and I cannot show anything because I found some guys in my area that race these cars and 1/8 scales and I am not showing anything that will put them on game on what I am doing! Elite Rc your 100 % right about that but I may just show a little bit or everything? Just because this is my first Baja Drag build and if I build a second one it will be next level over this first one. The thing that bothers me the most and makes me think twice is that there are some newbies I know that want to go drag race but don’t know how to get started and there are many of them! Maybe if I show a little or all ? There could be many more new people into the real ⛽️🔥💥💨 hobby if I show so I don’t know ? I have seen lots of good things happen with Nitro once people new the correct set ups that really work
BOTAJELL to me drag racing is not for newbies once they get a car and play with it and learn it there is nothing else to teach them because once they start wrenching on the car and actually learn how to fix it that is all she wrote. You have a tone of work sitting for material that drag build wouldn't even be noticed as long as you provide footage of the races. We all know when we put that camara into play with that is extra time you don't have. If your schedule is anything like mine or worse you might just have to build it and we see the results!
455 stage-1 it's really not even about that it's also timing whenever you add the camara it adds a ton of additional time of course for the viewer it's no time off of our backs at all. I rather him skip the video of the build and get it done so we can see the races, he is on a deadline!
I just wanted to thank BOTAJELL for making the best how to and informative rc videos on the net. I am pretty new to rc and I live in the middle of nowhere. I started with electric and now I'm all nitro. There is nothing better then the sounds and smells of a real motor ripping. I was planning on buying a 1\5 scale when I got hurt at work. I am the only provider in my family so I have had to put it on hold but rest assured when I can get back to work I will know everything I need to know on what I want and where to get it. I love the patience and attention to detail that the " NITRO KING " has. I have been sitting at home four 2 months trying to heal so I can get back to work and afford some goodies. These videos are the only thing that keep me sane. Anyhow just wanted to thank you for real I would be crazy by now if not for you. I have been brappin in the back yard with my losi 8t and my dog, wife and neighbors hate it. I live in the middle of a corn field in Illinois and can't wait to rip up the fields with some 1\5 scale.

I've fallen behind a little bit on schedule for my new website, but will be having RCshowtime.com up and running very soon. I'm not trying to take away from any of those companies we all love. Just trying to add a little more options out there for everybody. By the way keep the baja 5b the way it is and just build the KingMotors into a drag buggy. John you can lower the car by putting spacers on the shock shafts inside the shock bodies between the piston and the shock bottom to limit the ride height I have used shock pistons and even fuel line vacuum hoses just cut to fit for height but I’m sure you already know but maybe some of your viewers will find this info helpful Thanks from Northern California

Sup john? Great video! I think you should build the km instead of the rovan because it's less work and the rovan seams a little nicer. I don't know about you but I'd like to see that monster with a scz engine! This thing is gunna be awsome! Didn't expect you to start this soon! I think for drag racing you should have the small shocks on the back and the large shocks on the front like those old 60s drag cars so you can get all the wieght on the rear tires. Update on my 65cc build: I ordered only the crankcase to see if it will work and if it does I'll make the forum and if not I'll find a new one. Also my mom is from Wisconsin and my dad is from the middle easy so I'm mixed and I live (as you know) in Houston, Texas.

Hey John. I’m in the southern most tip of Texas. I can’t wait to see what you do. On my drag car I used a king motor 34. I’m going to change out my pipe to a victory and mess with the gears. I want to see if I can get that motor to really leave hard. Careful with the motor you put in there. If it’s too much it will just jump around. The traction wind be there. You won’t believe but the fastest guy in our group is running a modified 23. He screams off the line and it’s so hard to keep up with him. I saw his front tires come up off the road when the second gear kicked in. Keep in mind that it’s a lighter car and keeping the tires on the ground with traction is key. I’ll keep you posted as I get stuff. I don’t have much due to all my bills but my extra money goes to my RC addiction 😂😂. Have a great one brother.
Rm Blake I have noticed that the trick is to find what works for you to be competitive. Some of my guys run a heavy Chassis and try to put a bigger motor like a 36. Other love the plastic chassis for the kracken. It light and can take a beating. One thing we all run is BRP wheels. They last!!! Even with all the burnouts we do.

KC RC I would not recommend dumping money into a revo because I would so rather put it towards a good TRUGGY platform trust me ! I have had and built many revos small and big blocks but if you must or there is a sentimental value with it ??? I would so install a RB MODS 3.7 Engine Zeeeeeaah but I don’t think he is making them anymore?? Call and ask! I have one and I will never sell it just because it’s so different and hand made from Rick. Or you can call Track day hobbies and pick up a O.S. Revo Engine that’s made to fit Direct bolt on to revo!! You will also have to upgrade the clutch because traxxas clutches suck ass real bad !! Have a great 👍 day brother 👍🤝👊💥💥💥

Hi john, I finally got the forth screw out of the case!!! I didn't need to heat it up becuase it was loose but was getting stuck so a twisted it a little with a extra micro flat head screw driver and a pair of way too bug pliers and it came out!!

I lowered my baja with the stock shocks I used 3mm nitro tubing inside the shock on the shaft and also added thicker oil ... with the tubing inside the shock shaft you could also adjust preload with out the car lifting if you need more information let me no brother

I’m fixing to order the Baja shorty 29cc and the only Thing I personally would do different is the length of the wheelie bar, I’m sorry but I personally don’t like the front end coming waaaaaaay up when the problem could be solved with a longer wheelie bar.....good thing I know to weld cause I’ll make my own custom wheelie bar

I have a past video about that and went over it by removing them and cleaning them then installing blue loctite and I also had a missing grub screw that was missing and added a new one
I have a question I have a Rovan 29cc having a blast with the motor.. my question is how do I make it smell like two-stroke racing smell... Is it the higher octane or is it the two-stroke oil sorry if that's a stupid question at the moment I'm just running Lucas high performance 25 to 1
Eric Qucsai Klotz oil smells really really good but the smell I smell all the time and many of my friends is the CAM-2 100 octane fuel with Amsoil Dominator oil at 28 to 1
