There was not a single instance where the two girls and Biswa had any common ground for a discussion. Its either the two girls discussing about a book and Biswa staring into space or Biswa talking about a book and the girls not giving a damn.

I could relate to Biswa so much. I have plenty of books that I haven't been able to finish. Also, I feel paperbacks are preferable compared to the digital ones. The feel of the book itself builds up the imagination surrounding the story. Another great video guys. 👏✌

Right? Though we love e-readers too, since you end up running out of physical space after a while. Also, imagine having almost every book out there at your fingertips! The choice, it spoils you.

Books on Toast honestly, when I bought my kindle a couple years ago, I was so unsure of getting used to it. And trust me, it's almost impossible for me to go back to paperbacks now. Just the idea of using my kindle anywhere and at any time is so exciting. God I love it ❤️

This episode has a bit too much background noise, which I didn't notice when I was listening to it on a speaker but became quite apparent once I switched to headphones. A basic noise cleanup via software could definitely help a lot. Still haven't listened to the whole episode, will share feedback once I do. I also feel that you'll eventually run out of themes for podcast episodes, so it may be a better idea to dedicate each episode to one or two books and take a deep dive. Just a suggestion. I apologise for complaining in the comments for the second week in a row. I might as well change my name to Serial Whiner. :'( Do keep going though, love listening to people talking about books. Cheers.
@BooksonToast

Please, go ahead. We're trying to incorporate every suggestion. Some of them will take time, but we promise to learn and get as better as we can. Really appreciate the time you take out to share this feedback!

Saadat Hassan Manto is anything but an "undiscovered gem". Anyone who has ventured into Indian writers, has probably already heard of him, if not read his work. That bit about him doesn't fit well with the rest of the content. Also, I could never finish Ayn Rand 😷

Biswa Kalyan Rath says he finds RU-vid more interesting than books. Goes on to show that he was an engineering student. Anyways, I found the content really original. Asking "famous" people about their reading habits. Keep it up! Also read The Fly by Katherine Mansfield. It's a short story.

I had trouble reading Tolkien too, at first. Then I read the Silmarilion (basically a collection of legends, as it were, about the Tolkien universe), and it was only after knowing the backstory that I could appreciate LOTR and all the references. Most of the Council of Elrond bit is a reference to those earlier legends. I'd recommend that you read the Silmarillion if you want to get the best Tolkien experience; the stories are beautiful on their own, too.

Great job with the discussed books list. I was going to make a request but then I checked the description box just in case, and there it was. It's a little thing but it matters to me. So, thanks a tonne! I was gifted Roald Dahl's entire collection of short stories when I turned 21, I've never been more shocked.
